Added this to my smart tv as a way of bypassing the tv's "dumb" user interface. For the cost of a couple hdmi cables I also get to use my phone instead of the tv's unwieldy remote.

A great introduction to streaming from a mobile device without the expense behind it. Hoping to have more apps that are compatible with Chromecast, especially sporting event type apps.

The chromecast was not useful to me because it required me to use another device to (hints the name) cast to the Chromecast device. I returned this device for a amazon firestick

So, Google chrome cast sounds too good to be true...? It is! They tell you everything it does but what they don't tell you is it doesn't work with all Internet providers, nor does it work with all routers. And then 50% of the ones it works with require you to call your provider and get information or request a change of settings...it's a major hassle. Check online to see if your internet will work with it before you buy. Luckily Best Buy makes returns so easy!

Worked well and easy to set up just one major problem in that it keeps losing signal for a few seconds every once in awhile when streaming movies. Works great for shorter videos

Got this chromecast device hoping to turn my TV into a smart TV wasn't that impressed with it so I took it back. Did end up getting a Samsung smart TV and very happy with it.

This device, once sync'd is fantastic. The set up was challenging for my kids, which is unusual. I did finally manage to get it to sync up after trying on several different devices.

I normally rate most products that I have purchased with great remarks, but I hate to say that I cannot give praise to this yet. They need some extreme updating before I can do that.

A great way to add "Smart TV" abilities to a standard TV. Now I don't have to worry about looking for a TV with extra connected function. I can let Chromecast take care of that for me.

Overall this product is perfect for my needs. My wife can easily watch her YouTube movies without looking at the small phone screen. Will be even better once more apps are compatible.

The Chromecast is a nice little media device for the rural user that wants to watch something on TV other than over the air programming. The only issues I've noticed so far are, 1)once you are done watching whatever service you use (Netflix or Huluplus) you have to force stop that service on your Android device otherwise it will stay on in the background, 2)Pandora is great but there needs to be more video services. HBOgo would be nice if they would make it a stand alone service instead of requiring HBO service with a cable provider.

Does what's it supposed to do, which is take what's in my Chrome browser on the laptop, and display it on the TV. The other features, like Netflix and YouTube, are nifty but redundant if one has a smart Blu-Ray player.

I ordered google chromecast on best buy. Got it delivered in 2 days itself. Device not only works great but it gives me a great joy to watch HD videos on my big screen TV from my tablet and phone. Very happy to get it.

Bought chrome to watch some shows that were missed on DVR. Only thing I don't like is the commercials can't be skipped like the DVR. Haven't used it to much, but was priced right.

Great at streaming my Netflix to the older LCD tv. Quick set up and installation. Just not sure if it would work for older TV's that might not have an USB port. Great value instead of paying hundreds more for a "smart" tv.

I didn't have the necessary HDMI port in my TV, but I gave it to a friend, and they love it! We love watching Netflix streaming on the TV, and since it was free as part of a tablet promotion, it was just a fantastic deal!

I bought this due to a problem my Apple TV was having with my Vizio tv. (It's actually a Vizio problem). You won't find it on the packaging and no one at Best Buy knows that Cromecast does not mirror your device. You can download an app with a poor browser but it freezes and only recognizes a couple of video formats. It may be ok for net flicks or you tube but that's not what I wanted it for. I want to see my iPad.

This was a great gift for my wife's parents as they are soon going to be the only ones in the house with kids all grown up, they look forward to having things to watch and share at all times. Great HQ video and easy set up.

Product was bent when I received it still goes in hdmi port,sometimes with netflix it timed out and wouldn't cast, probably a netflix issue with ipad app YouTube works flawlessly .would like to see more things work with this.

i like the google chrome cast but I think it needs more apps. I would like to be able to send video from an IOS device to my television.
