When I purchased the chromecast device they only had limited apps available. Now since they opened it up for developers. There are loads available. Just search for chromecast apps in the play store.

The installation was a bit frustrating cause the device was unable to find the Internet connection, but after setting it up it works just as described. It's great for streaming Hulu and Netflix.

Its an amazing product with unlimited capabilities but those capabilities haven't been fully utilized more apps to be available for this product.

Only have signed up for Netflix for now. Sometimes it freezes up and I have to keep pushing buttons and starting over to undo the freeze. Otherwise it is ok.

It works, but it crashes a lot and it doesn't always work on my phone. They need to start releasing more apps for it!

Get apple tv instead if you want your apple products to work. I want realtime casting of everything on the screen anytime I want it, fast. This is not that.

It was hard to find and thankfully I found it online. Once I received it, took a while to sync my laptop. But once it did, I was happy. Great device, great price!

Great product. While I'm not ready to drop cable, this is getting me much closer. Great for watching video files, movies and showcasing pictures from your computer or device. Highly recommend this.

Im not too thrilled with the chromecast. I got it because I was under the impression it would be wireless and its not...also it loses connection frequently. It doesn't have a remote so you only control it thru your phone with an app which would be fine if it didn't crash any time you get an alert on your phone or someone calls or texts. I was hoping for the price difference it would be like the roku but its not anything like it I will be switching back to my roku again.

I have 2 of these and I want another one! I have one more television in the house I must have a chromecast for.

Device works well, most of the time. The quality occasionally falls back from HD, but the stream still works. Looking forward to other services using the product.

Great way to watch Netflix on a TV that is not connected to the internet. I've used it for YouTube videos also.

A great gizmo with a lot of potential. That potential depends upon Google greatly expanding the available apps. The future is only limited by Googles imagination.

I love it - it turned our "dumb" TV into a "smart" TV by adding Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, YouTube and MANY more that I'll probably never use. It's VERY easy to set up & use - HIGHLY recommended!

Great for streaming to any hdmi ready tv. I wish it had more sources to work with as to become more complete. Having the capability to stream from other sources not just YouTube or Netflix etc...

This is going to be a must have. It will replace most of your entertainment equipment. If you stream Netflix HBO or ESPN you should buy the Google Chromecast

This is a great little product, I love it. I only hope it had a browser in it as well.

If you don't have a smart phone to use as a remote control, the other option is to use your computer to operate this media player. If you like watching streaming movies from bed, you are out of luck. I also bought one as a gift for a friend. My friend has a smart phone, but was never able to get this to work right, even after calling for support repeatedly and watching the on-line videos. I'll stick with the media players that sit on the table and come with a remote.

This is a solid product for what it was designed to do and frankly for the price it is well worth it. However, the scope if what it can be used for is limited.

We bought this to use when we go camping, but it was not compatible with our new iPhone 5 model so we had to return it.
