What's the difference between this and a ROKU? Whatever. I want to view anything in my smartphone to my TV, especially home videos. Doesn't do it. It seems this technology is still evolving.

I have both apple TV and Google Chromecast. I enjoy both, but I think that apple TV has more options as far as streaming. Chromecast is very useful for watching music videos...it just needs to be updated, and probably will be at some point.

i bought it with the intention of watching streaming movies from websites other than netflix and youtube. it cannot do that. it is basically a device that enables searching youtube and netflix videos from your phone or tablet. beyond that it has no use. my bluray player is perfectly capable of running the 2 applications. it does not have good app support. no amazon prime instant videos app. no support for equivalent of airplay. apple tv is far better and has more value for the money. buy apple tv. i dont know why people give so many good reviews
