For $35 you really can not beat this. I use this little dongle that plugs into the back of my TV to stream from my iPhone, iPad, Laptop, etc... You name it, you most likely can stream it (as long as you have the Chrome browser or a supported app). We all know Google is going to expand on this in the future as well. Do yourself a favor and go get one today!

I purchased this first generation Google Chromecast USB dongle for my kitchen TV back in Dec. 2014 since I wanted to watch Youtube videos on it sometimes. After some research I decided on this since I wanted something basic. It was easy setup and worked right away. The Chromecast requires you to use another device such as phone or tablet to control it's function. That's not a problem since I have both. The connection to my wifi is good. Overall, it's a good product and does what I purchased it for.

We picked this up almost free from BB (used my reward pts)... love this! So easy to stream from youtube and netflix... everyone in the house can use it! Definitely recommend.

I purchased one of these immediately after they were announced. For the price and what it can do, you can't go wrong. I now have 3 of them.

This is a great little device. I got it for my upstairs tv that has no cable lines or tv box. It always me to have access to netflix on an older tv & stream youtube easily. I like the way it controls the video from your cell phone to fast forward etc. Its a real deal for the price.

It works great right out of the box. ANYTHING that you can play on your computer, you can play on the TV...YouTube, Netflix, etc etc...

It is easy to install. I have not found any glitches in the Chromcast and it is over a year.

I bought two of these, one for my home office TV and one for my briefcase. It works as expected, whether I'm using it for business or sports, news, weather & movies. One of my favorite features is that it has a screensaver feature that can use images I select. So when at the office I show Real Estate properties and at home office I view artwork images. It's small and compact footprint makes it a no brainer in my book. I also have two Apple TV's but that's another review. :)

Once you download the Chromecast app, set up is easy. Great for Netflix and YouTube. I like being able to cast my screens from a laptop, tablet or my Android phone.

Cheap price, great quality, easy to install even my 6 year old son can install. We have installed a Google cast extension to work with other browser and video so now we are not limited to watching YouTube video :-) I heard from other friend complain about speed but we didn't face any problem. So I highly recommend this product1

Grabbed a few of these, not only for myself, but also to set up my parents house. It's used all the time to get Netflix on the TV for cheap. Definitely recommend!

We do not have cable or satellite TV. We have 2 TVs in our house, one with an Xbox and one with nothing running to it. We could stream on the Xbox but now we can currently stream on both TVs. I literally just plugged this thing in and within a matter of minutes I was streaming Netflix/ YouTube on my TV that was just sitting there never being used. I would strongly suggest this product to anyone.

simple to use and send you laptop screen or chrome browser screen to computer, it replaced my hdmi cable use. small delay when you cast your whole laptop screen.

It is a great product to make your TV smart. Great to play netflix, youtube. We can play both in Wii. But the it is not easy to play youtube in wii. The chrome is good at it. We have tried other andorid pc box or dongle in past, the chromecast is the best. It will be the killer of those andorid pc box or dongles when there are more contents coming.

Overall, we are pleased with Chromecast. Does what it is supposed to do most of the time. Good selection of Chromecast Ready apps, although not as robust as say Roku, or even Apple TV. There one issue we have is that the connection is not always consistent and we have to reboot the device to get re-connected every now and then.

It's an excellent streaming product under $30. works seamlessy with windows laptop, iPhone, iPad, Mac!!!. Worth having Chromecast to make any TV as SMART TV.

I easily installed this on a non-smart tv in my house and found that it opened up a whole new world of entertainment. Great product at a really cheap price.

The google chromecast is a fun toy that extends some functionality to the my screens around the house. It works best on the televisions in my house, but I have been able to utilize on my computer screens as well. Unfortunately the interfaces on IOS and Android devices are not as simple to use as many other applications. I purchased the device to allow my children to connect their games and you tube experiences on a larger screen for interactive purposes, and it has been a disappointment.
