Chromecast could have been one of those devices, that could revolutionize the world of TV while not really providing Cable to the house. What Chromecast does is very simple, it's a device that makes any TV/fevice with HDMI input into a "smart TV". It allows to operate, through an app on your phone, to control what you want to do on TV. Either watch Netflix , Hulu or just browse internet, this is the device. But the problem was, that at the beginning, it did half of the things that were promised before release and because of that, many TV manufacturers implemented some sorts of app system in better models, so there is no reason to use Chromecast, what your TV does from the Get Go. Beside that, it's a neat device that works as intended, and it's a very cheap way, to make your old dumb TV into a smart one - provided it has HDMI input.

All in all it's a simple, cheap, cool device.Google's streaming stick has been an instant hit and although it was rather limited at launch, the Chromecast has steadily improved, adding Hulu Plus, Pandora, Google Music, Plex, Vevo, and HBO Go since its debut. That's in addition to Netflix, YouTube and Google Movies & TV, making it a basic, but competent streamer -- especially for the price.

I got mine today. Device is easy to setup and works perfectly on android Netflix and Youtube. Very easy to navigate. Unfortunatelly when it comest to deal with PC the thing is not so good. Mirroring netflix from chrome ( with extension ) was impossible. It crashed three times. For 35 bucks it is worth a buy. I hope it will evaluate an gets only better...

Overall, I love this device! I does exactly what i had needed and more. The only thing that I think needs improvement is I recently came to college and the chromecast won't connect to a wifi protected network, therefore I cannot use it at all. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this product.

For what it is and the price it is at... the Chromecast is a home run. It's simple to set up and works fairly well. Everyonce in a while there is a lag or freeze.. but it's simple enough to reset the device. For a portable inexpensive way to make any HDTV a Smart TV... this can't be beat.

First adaptor to chrome cast. It's ok, you plug it in, set it up and turn on computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet. But the apps are slowly adding chrome cast. With time it's gonna be good.

Chromecast brings web content to your TV from your Android phone, Tablet or Chrome browser. It works very efficiently from Chromecast enabled applications on Android. It seems somewhat less efficient when casting the image from the Chrome browser on a computer. However, it does avoid having to attach VGA and AV cables from the computer to the TV.
