Constantly crashes. When I stream from my android tablet and cell to TV, after the screens on them fall asleep and lock, when I wake them back up and unlock them, the screens on both devices severely glitch and bounce around. And, when streaming to TV the chromecast keeps disappearing from my tablet and cell, so... How am I supposed to control whatever is streaming in my TV? I can't! And I keep getting connection errors! And there is no customer service at all so I can't fix this! too buggy. Returning

I am a tech neanderthal. I found this extremely easy to set up and use. Some people say their quality is not good, mine is excellent. I'm looking forward to new apps which are sure to come. The price is cheep,cheep.

If you're looking for a cheap and affordable way to view content on your HDTV screen the Chromecast is the way to go. It's very easy to setup, takes less than 5 minutes. Works well with my 2006 Samsung Flatscreen but requires the USB charging which luckily I have on the back next to the HDMI port. If you don't have the USB port don't worry, the device also comes with an AC adapter head but make sure to invest in an extension cord. So far I'm able to cast YouTube, Netflix, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Music and Chrome Browser (Via Desktop). The Chrome Browser casting has a slight delay but it's still in beta form. I can't wait to cast more apps in the future in the comfort of my bedroom.

I used this Chromecast with my TV to cast applications from my phone to the TV screen. It was easy to connect to my Wi-Fi and to the TV. I like being able to watch YouTube videos on my screen without having a smart TV. It would be great if it also could work independently without a computer or phone. I would recommend this to someone that is looking for a option to cast their screen from their laptop or mobile phone to their TV.

Great way to turn your basic HDTV into a smart TV. YouTube works great with Chromecast, don't have netflix, so not sure about that. You can start a video on your iPhone or iPad, and then shut your phone off to conserve battery life. More apps have been added recently, so it is getting better with time. Wish itunes would work with it, so I could watch my rented / Purchased videos through Chromecast. Can't beat the features for the price of this unit. I highly recommend the Chromecast to anyone looking for a cheaper way to access YouTube, Netflix and even any videos online through the google chrome web browser.

We bought these for our fine working but older model LED and LCD televisions that did not have built in WiFi or internet access. The set-up was surprisingly intuitive and quite simple. The only thing that might confuse some people is installing the ChromeCast apps on their devices so that the device can read them. Otherwise, we were streaming from my 10 year old Macbook Pro in minutes! Same with the 1st Gen iPad, the 8 year old HP laptop and the new Galaxy S4 cell phones. Casting to the TV was a simple as clicking an icon, and there it was in all 46 inch glory!

I bought Chromecast a couple of months ago and I have to say that my family and I love it so much! We can stream movies we buy from Google Play store or use one of the apps that are supported (Netflix, Youtube, Hulu Plus, Google Music, HBO Go, Pandora). Those apps are more than enough for me! It's really easy to set up! You can stream from your PC (within your Chrome browser), iPhone and Android devices and then use those devices as your remote control. It's that easy! Highly recommend Chromecast to anyone! I am buying an extra one for my daughter's room soon.

I love that this can be used to project computer screens on your tv easily. I have this and a Roku, and honestly I love them both. Each has great features. I do with the Chromecast had a remote. But I still recommend it, you can use your mobile device, etc as the remote. You can't go wrong this this one.

I'm an older guy and not tech-savvy. On a scale of 1-10 relating to ability with electronics, I'm about a 2 or 3. But I was able to set this unit up in about 10-15 minutes. I used my laptop. It pretty much sets itself up, but there are some things you have to do. Basically, you plug the unit into your TV. Then, if you don't already have Google Chrome, you have to download it (it's free). Then you go to the web-site it tells you to go to. Be patient, and read the instructions on your laptop (there's not that much to read), and everything will go smoothly. The quality is amazing. I watched YouTube videos on my 46" TV, and I couldn't believe the good quality. The quality is as good as a TV program.

I love this and its very easy to set up and I can use my phone as the remote!! Also it's nice not to have another box device to have to find a place for!

The steam stick responds with delays, and it cannot stream all the contents on my computer. Only few apps are supported compares to apple TV. Not recommended to buy. Wait for the next generation.

Good for the basic streaming options . Google been smart about it and have created a niche and cheap option for ppl who want a streaming device by just focusing on the main streaming apps

Set up was really easy. I have the Chromecast ap installed on my computer and phones. Very convenient to be able to stream videos directly onto my tv from my web browser and smart phone.

The google chromecast at $35 is a tremendous value for the price. I no longer have to use HDMI cords to see videos from my computer which was my main point of use. I was able to purchase when 3 months of Netflix for free so the chromecast has more than paid for itself. The picture quality is great, as is the sound. I've had no issues with it. I haven't cast media from my phone as much, but the feature is super useful also. Definitely a great buy!

I'm so happy I invested in this. I don't have a smart tv and had to use my Wii to watch Netflix and sometimes it will take forever to load. I can connect to Netflix from any device to my tv with Chromecast. My brother recommended this device and I knew if he loves it, I will too.

Have had this product for almost a few months now, and works great except for the fact that it does sometimes constantly buffer. Otherwise, it is very convenient when you don't want to watch your movies or TV shows from your phone.

As a skeptic on these things, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of installation and use. I can mirror my laptop to the big screen and there are many IPhone apps that easily cast from my phone to the TV. Overall am very happy.
