While I still think Roku is the best price for the most to offer there are things I can do with the Chromecast that I can't do with Roku, so I LOVE IT! so worth the $35!

If you own an Android device, this is a must have!

This basically takes video from your computer and shoots it to your TV via WiFi. So you need a computer that works and WiFi. If you have those two things, this product is amazing, especially for only $35! Stream netflix, HBOGO and more at the press of a computer button

There are many apps that do not offer the Cast option. Xfinity Go for one. If you have a Samsung S4 or S5 the Chromecast app can cast anything on your phone to the Chromecast. Suddenly all apps are available on your TV. Sorry iPhone people, you can't do that :-(

Had trouble getting it to install... Comcast was no help... Love it once installed.

This dongle makes my youtube experience even more pleasant to a whole other level!

The Chromecast is simple to setup, easy to use, and a great value.

I did a lot of reading on this product and figured it would be perfect for my desires. We watch a lot of YouTube and Netflix in this house. I was not aware that I cannot hide my SSID if I want to run this device. That doesn't sit too well with me because I like to remain hidden from all the lackies in my area. Aside from that this is a good product. It doesn't support Pandora or Amazon Instant Video yet, however I can stream them from my browser. For $35 it's a decent choice. Google does need to do something about the SSID broadcasting issue. Once they take care of that I would give this device 5 stars across the board.

I love this product easy to set-up and to use I needed something for the bedroom and for traveling and it was free thank you( reward certs.)Now I wish it was supported by more companies like CRACKLE,EPIXHD and some APPS Angry birds on a big screen would be AWSOME!!

This little device is awesome, for the price beats Amazon Fire tv stick for sure

This works perfectly with all the apps which are bundled with it like Youtube, Google Drive and the Chrome browser (technically, you'll have to download some during the installation), but once you try casting a video file from your HDD (or USB), the lag is quite noticeable - even with a great WiFi connection in your home. I used a computer that was set-up right next to the TV and there was still lag. It was so bad that I nearly returned this item, but then I discovered a Chrome app called "Videostream" on the Google Play store that "cast" video files (mkv, mp4, avi) perfectly without any lag whatsoever. It's taken what was a novelty item and made it fantastic. I'm not surprised a big company product was saved by the little guy. ;)

I was looking to cut the cable cord, so i bought this. Perfect product for what it does. Only drawback is you can't ever then it iff, Jay unplug it. I cut the cable cord and went with the Firestick.

I have a Google Chromecast for each of the tv's in my home and love them!

I bought these for my company to stream a webcast only football game on our TV's from some laptops. While they do work, the quality of the broadcast itself is dependent upon several things: your machine, your wireless network, and the actual media that is being played displayed. I found out that these do not work on Cisco Enterprise WAP's without serious configuration on a wireless controller and I had to resort to using a "dumb" WAP for home use. It wasn't really up to the task to stream the game and so it was choppy at times. This also was to do with the machines that were streaming the game as well so just be aware that you'll need decent equipment to make the stream up-to-par in terms of HDTV broadcast level picture quality.

I love this item. I can stream online shows from Hulu or Netflix to my tv.
