Easy to set up, just follow the instructions on the screen of the TV or monitor that the Chromecast gets plugged into. Obviously, this requires a HDMI port on a TV or monitor. The catch is that this also requires having an available power outlet, as the Chromecast does need external power, which can be a challenge at an entertainment center filled with electronic devices.

It is super easy to stream Youtube, my videos, etc.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! I´m a college student and it is terrible. I bought one, and it was very easy to install. About 3 weeks later it stops working. I keep getting a message saying that it is connected to my network but cannot access the internet. I´ve tried a hard reset, but nothing works. Google doesn´t even have help line that you can call. All you can do is look through forums. If you decide to buy one, keep your receipt, because you will need to return it after 3 weeks. I can´t return mine because I threw my receipt away after 2 weeks. Do not buy this product!

This product it's great I can watch my YouTube videos on my tv.

This was my 2nd Chromecast that I have purchased & this is now a must-have TV accessory in our household that is enjoyed by everyone (even our kids). Initial set-up might take 5 minutes, but is quite easy to do so if you can read & follow basic instructions. More & more websites with video now seem to be supporting Chromecast, which is a great trend.

This is an awesome idea! Google made it so you can turn any HDTV into a smart TV without the ridiculous price tag. I now have a Chromecast on all my TVs in the house.

After a year of ownership, I have found limited use for the device to playing YouTube videos. The Roku 3 handles Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Instant Video much more smoothly. At least it didn't empty my wallet when I purchased it. Hopefully more apps will be available in the future.

Most convenient decide that will work with all your devices

Like all once Startup8 was installed $5. I also got a small trackball. Soooo nice to have this ready for work in 4 seconds! It handles my ridiculous numbers of live chart plotters and 5 other running office programs better than my 6 core desktop built in 2013

Although the amount of applications for the chrome cast are not cast, there is work arounds and new apps are emerging. If you can stream it on google chrome you can see it on your Tv. simply drag and drop files to your browser. This dongle has a lot of potential.

Just got it, and will return it. I had Logitech Google TV and on my opinion it is a great product, but recently had to find a new google TV, Logitech is no longer making google TV. So I got Chromecast and I though to use it as combination with laptop and iPad. What can I say, don't buy it, if you are planning to use it for browsing. Netflix works, youtube works. But any video from chrome browser is impossible to watch. Picture is jumping, even if you are watching video on netflix through chrome browser. So averall, don't buy it if you are planning to use it for browsing and watching anything but netflix and youtube.
