I have just started to put a Nest system together on a vacation home we own. I have the thermostat, the smoke detector and the camera. They have all been easy to install and use. Seem to be high quality. They are expensive compared to other options but I feel they have been worth the up front expense.

Love it works great easy to set up and use great picture nice wide field of view would highly recommend it also cool you can talk through the it into the room

I have the original camera called the dropcam and loved it. This is a couple of notches better in quality and width of field for gathering information. A lot of camera's are in the price range but you cannot go wrong with this one.

I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the camera, the ease of it's instlation and the picture quality that I receive on my smartphone and tablet.

The nest cam really is a fantastic product. It’s pretty easy to setup and once online the video either through my laptop, iPhone or Apple TV is super crisp. The one drawback is if you plan to travel and plug it in elsewhere you have to unregister it then re-register a slight inconvenience but really not too much trouble. I highly recommend

I purchased this camera to monitor my business and get live pictures on my Ipad and android phone. It literally too me 1 minute to get it connected to the internet and the apps are great. The picture quality is HD as well. If you want a great product and easy setup than this is the camera for you.

I received this as a Christmas present and was glad to try it out. I took it out of the box plugged it in and scanned the back with my iPhone and down loaded the app. Now I found this so easy to use it was truly man friendly. It work without difficulty. The only thing I do joy like is the light which changed colors so you know when it is working. It is like a laser as I put it next to the tv. Easy fix with a small piece of cardboard taped over it which took about 2sec. I really enjoy being able to talk to that room and to have a response from the person. I have seen others for less but you have to plug them into your router or computer not just a regular plug which makes it easy to put anyplace with an electric outlet. The cord is long enough to make the placement easy too.

Its hot to the touch! which is a little concerning if it overheats that much even when Idle! I only turn on the camera when I am away from home. Whenever I am home its not on so it's a little odd that it remains hot. Perhaps my device is damaged or maybe its the same with all of them. Other than that the qualify of video is great. The night vision is fantastic!

I purchased this camera to monitor my apartment when I'm out of town. I also have owned several other Nest products including 2 Protects, a ring camera and a Nest smart lock so I have some experience with Nest Products. I give it 3 stars because it is good when it works, but there are some limitations with this camera for remote monitoring. The Pros are: 1. Camera looks good. 2. Easy to mount with the magnet in the stand. 3. Video quality is decent. 4. It covers a wide field and I can see most of the room where I have it setup. The big Con I noticed which is a major limitation: 1. This Nest camera will not come back online and reconnect after a power outage and power is restored. This has happened 2 times to me. You have to physically be there to unplug the camera and then plug it back in. This is a serious limitation to remote monitoring if you are traveling or out of town. Note I have other smart devices that are able to reconnect after a power outage and the Ring camera I had would also reconnect after a power outage so I consider this a problem with this camera's firmware/hardware. 2. I switched my account to Google but they increased the monitoring price ( from 5 dollars to 6 dollars a month ) plus its not very clear, but if you want to monitor and record video for 2 places/homes/apts with the Nest app I think you have to actually pay the subscription for both. 3. Support wasn't very helpful with the camera not coming online issue after a power outage/restoration. the only options they had was to disable and re-enable the camera in the Nest App ( didn't work ) or they told me to unplug it and plug it back in for a reset. But how can you do that if you are not home? So the camera remains useless and offline until you can get home and physically unplug it/plug it back in. So I am a bit disappointed as I paid 149 I think for this camera and it becomes useless after any power outage.

I carefully read the reviews and decided the Nest Cam was for me. It was easy to set up, even for an older person. I positioned the camera in an inside window but faced it outside so I can keep an eye on my property. Great resolution and great camera!

I purchased this camera to keep an eye on our cats while away on vacation. It has a large angle view (I think 130 degrees?) of the room you are monitoring. When the lights are on the camera provides full color views that are crisp and have good resolution. When at night (or the lights are out and it's a bit darker), the camera switches to infra-red mode and everything is black and white. So you can still monitor activity even at night.

So far everything manufacturered by Nest has been top quality. The camera only took a few minutes to setup and does everything I could want it to do and more. The only downside so far is the cost of the Nest cloud plan to save the data is a bit expensive. There isn't a way to save it to SD card or other storage at this time. The picture quality is amazing in both during both day and night shots. Being able to turn off the camera automatically using your phone GPS when you're inside the house is a handy feature. There are so many to count. Just buy this product and try it yourself!

Good mobile phone access. Ability to save video clips. Only drawback is that you must purchase an account with Nest for either 10 day or 30 day memory. Has a tendency to get warm so need to be sure and put in a location that allows it to receive air.

I already have a few outdoor nest cameras and wanted one for in the garage. We can now get amazon packages straight in our garage so this makes it nice to see them. The build quality is great. The picture quality is great. Setup is straight forward and easy. My one complaint is the cost. If Nest requires you to have a subscription for all their good features then they should lower the initial price or give me more free time.

I own several of these cameras for my home. My elderly mother sometimes is alone and I use these if I occasionally cannot reach her by phone. The picture is sharp and there is audio both ways. I can speak and listen through the camera with very little lag. Simple to set up.

I set the app and cameras up after someone tried breaking in. I get alerted any time the motion detection is triggered and receive a short video of what triggered it. It's nice to check in on the dogs too. No one has tried breaking in yet, hopefully they don't. But I have the piece of mind that I can call in a break in if one is happening.

Google's nest cam has got to be the easiest to set up. It also ranks with the top Tamara regarding picture quality. The Android app is good looking and simple to use.

The nest camera system is extremely simple to set up. Nest utilized QR codes to easily add a camera to an already existing system or set up a new system. The Nest application continues to be updated for better utilization. The app gives you the ability to view and monitor multiple cameras live feeds at one time. You also have the ability in settings to tell cameras to alert you for noise or motion. There are so many additional easy to use functions I could go on and on

I have several Nest products and I have been a user for some years. The cameras are great, they have very good image quality day and night. The points that I believe are against: the price is high, although I am very good products, in such a competitive market today, you find very good cameras for less money. The other point is: storage in the exclusive nice and cost for more than 24 hours. They should include the local storage option and lower subscription prices for the cloud.

Holy sh$%!!! I'm in love with this camera, if you have kids and want a camera that will let you keep an eye on your kids while they sleep or are home with a babysitter then THIS IS THE CAMERA to get. We've spent just as much or more ($99-$400) on a number of baby monitors through the year only to be disappointed. They always seem to lose signal and beep LOUDLY or show static while monitoring through the night. This camera doesn't have any of those problems, all you have to do is have your phone/ipad/computer on the night stand next to you with the volume up and it will notify you when your kid makes a noise or there is movement in your house/bedroom. You can leave it on all night or close it and let it notify you. You can check this camera anytime from any where as long as you have internet signal. The only way this camera would not be ideal is if you don't have internet….. so yeah everyone should be good.
