Installation was fairly simple, it took longer to find the right fuse for the thermostat than it did to actually install it. Love that I can change the thermostat from my phone, but even better, within 2 weeks it had programmed itself to our everyday habits, so eco mode while away, and the house is comfortable by the time we get home. I definitely recommend the Nest system, its amazing, all in one app.

My system had 7 wires and after 30 minutes on chat, they had me a diagram that worked. Hooked it up and it's working great. Love it so far but hard to tell if the savings are due to the thermostat or the cooler weather. Little bit of a learning curve but love the app and being able to put our heat pump on a schedule.

That is sort of ridiculous to have to wait a month for it to populate online. The Nest has around a 24 hour wait period so it can capture data but allows you to see how long the system was on for. I am happy with the decision and like the learning features of the thermostat. Easy to hook up within 10 minutes and we were ready to use. Lots of great features and easy menu system. Still working on finding the sweet spot with the green leaf but will keep working on it. Senses when we are away so it automatically puts the system in "away" modes and changed it to "home" when we arrive. Plus it works off the schedule you can customize. Very pleased with this and would recommend it!

They work together seamlessly to provide even heat throughout the house. The best part is you can set it to learn your setting preferences or you can schedule the temperatures on your own. It also knows when you are not home based on the GPS in your smart phone. When you are away it drops the temperature to the ECO setting you chose at installation. This save you money. Love, love, love this thermostat and highly recommend it. Best purchase ever!

Having a C-Wire (Common Wire) routed from the furnace to the thermostat is highly recommended. Without the C-Wire, the Nest thermostat can constantly run into "Low Power" issues since it cannot charge the battery at the rate which it drains.
