Been using for 2 years now and enjoy how easy it is to use. Can set heat and cool to keep house at any temperature range you want. Helps with the spring and fall days where it can be hot one day and then cold on the next day. Appreciate being able to adjust through my phone to change from another floor in the house, or adjust when on vacation.

Looks nice on wall. Works great. Love being able to set everything from my phone. Don't have to worry about forgetting to set when I leave home. Haven't had long enough to see savings on electric bill but as well as it works I'm sure I will. Also considered the "ecobee" but liked the way the Nest looked.

I bought this mainly to get on the same ecosystem as all the other Nest devices in my house. It's pricey, but it turned out to be an incredible upgrade over the previous EcoBee. Since the first few weeks I haven't had to adjust the temperature manually a single time. Directions were very simple, but I'd still recommend watching a video on YouTube before installing it if you've never done it before.

Replaced my old Thermostat with this and I can say it is worth every penny. I have it paired with Alexa it is pretty nice. I can change the temperature before coming home. My wife loves! It is a good addition to my smart home.

I was excited to get the nest thermostat so I could change my thermostat remotely from my phone when away from home. It looks great on the wall, has multiple settings to show different info (weather, clock, etc.) when you walk by, and it learns daily patterns via a motion sensor and connecting with the gps on your phone. I was a little creeped out at first that it knew when I was home or not, but it uses that info to help save power. I am completely satisfied with it.

Let me start off by saying this is my 2nd purchase of the nest thermostat that alone should let you know i love this item. I had the 2nd generation nest and although it worked perfectly fine i bought the new one. I love the bigger screen. Thinner frame and the far sight feature. the furnace analysis is an added bonus. I love it. only wish i could have brought my schedule over from my 2nd generation

I have 2 - extremely simple to install in about 15 minutes and made our old RobertShaw thermostats feel completely archaic. I’m sure the same is true with any smart thermostat but I’m a sucker for the Nest design and the ring based interface. Learning and scheduling couldn’t be simpler and the interface with google assistant and home hub is flawless. Highly recommend home hub as a remote control option.

Bought this to replace a thermostat that was barely functioning, it feels like such an upgrade. The set up was easy, the nest tutorial explains clearly how to wire properly. Then the wifi and remaining set up only takes a few minutes. It's an attractive unit and works so well from the Nest app. I love being able to schedule when we want to heat the house based upon when we are home/away. Would gladly recommend!

Perfect. No complains what so ever!!! Easy to install yourself. Very elegantly look on wall. I got the Black Mirror one. Very eligible led screen. Easy to navigate. Just perfect all around!!! Plus the ability to control it,turn it on or off with your phone makes it a dream to turn it on on a hot day at work. By the time I get home it’s nice and fresh! Love this device. DEFINITELY recommend!!!

We love our NEST! It was easy to install and we can set from our phone when we have been away or if we forget to turn off the heater.. Everyone should install this as their thermostat!

Great smart thermostat. Easy to install and set up. Works without a c wire, but performs a lot better with a C wire because it guarantees the charge to the thermostat. Without proper charge the thermostat can run out of battery, or not get enough battery power to do any system updates. Overall seems less buggy and problematic than the ecobee 2.

This is simply the most beautiful thermostat you can buy. Oh, and it works too. I use mine in heat-cool mode which makes sense to me as there's two to three weeks during the year when I can have the heat on in the morning and the A/C turned on in the evening in my three-story townhome. Nest says that all the learning takes place inside the first week or two but it's been three weeks and mine is still learning. This could be my fault however as my schedule has been somewhat erratic. Last week we had the 4th of July holiday so I worked from home. Well, Nest knew I was home the whole time because it knew where my phone was but now, one week later, it is still saying I'm at home even more than two hours after I've left, just like it did on days one and two so maybe it's started reprogramming itself? I do wish it had real geofencing capabilities. People have written in reviews that it has but I have yet to see it. It knows when I leave and when I'm home by my phone's location but its fence, then, if it has one, is only limited by the bounds of my wi-fi signal's reach, not any real location per se. I'm confused by this as there's an "Early On" feature that's supposed to predict when you're coming home and turn on the HVAC if needed before you get home but maybe that only happens once Nest has set up a schedule for you. There's a third party app I may try which is supposed to operate with a real fence in this way as I'm not at all happy with this feature which doesn't seem to be working yet. I'm willing to give it more time though, until it's finished learning. I had Best Buy install this but it looked pretty simple. It comes with a faceplate which is good because what was beneath my old thermostat was a messy wall. It works with Google Assistant just fine performing all the commands you would like. Using heat-cool mode is tricky though because the target temperature you set will change your boundary temperatures at either end which may not be your objective. Oh, and speaking of the boundaries, here's typical behavior for my thermostat: It's set with a range of 72-76 degrees. You'd think this would keep the house at 74 degrees year round but it does not. When the temperature reaches a solid 77, the A/C will come on and cool the house to just under 76. It works similarly with the heat so the desired temperature of 74 degrees is never reached. I think it may operate differently in the heat only or cool only modes but to me, this is the best way to use a smart thermostat. It's a pricy unit, 'tis true. But I found it on sale on a competitive website and Best Buy matched it. Then I got $50 back from the state of Oregon for buying it plus I can save another $50 a year from the electric company by enrolling in the Nest Energy Rewards program. I haven't had a chance to use that yet - we haven't had a heat wave, and I may not like it but I'm willing to give it a try if I can save more $$$.

One of my best investments, and I'm talking not about energy savings! I mean that it's easy to install and really great in use! It's quite expensive and I'm lucky that I need only one! The manufacturer dropped the price right after two weeks after my purchase, so I was disappointed a little... But it worth every penny! Great product with useful futures, such as remote control from your smartphone and motion detection. But my favorite fiture is the way it feels when you manualy adjust the temperature - it clicks like a premium safe:) Well build, feels very solid! I'm skeptical about energy savings, because I have free work schedule and someone from my family is always at home, so the AC is always on... Will check my energy bill at the end of this month.

This is actually the second Nest we've purchased. The first one was held captive at the house we sold and the owner wouldn't relinquish it back to it's rightful owners! We purchased the second nest after I got an electric bill for almost $300 for a 1400 sq ft house. Installed the next day and our bills have been no more than $150 a month for an outdated AC/HVAC system even in the height of summer. The Nest installed easily - my husband was able to do it with minimal electrical knowledge. It's amazing how it learns the patterns of the household. It's really neat that you can use the app to change the temperature from anywhere. If I know it's going to keep it warm during the day and it happens to be a super hot day, I'll turn the air down earlier than the programming to adjust for the extra time it will take so it's nice and cool when I get home. I have no complaints. This thing does the thinking for us. Also, if you are watching Netflix and are too lazy to get up and turn the heat on when it's cold, you can do it from your phone and keep being lazy. It's a win/win! Don't balk at the price, you'll get it once you've had it a couple months...

It really works very well and is not at all technically challenging. Quite easy to use. We installed our own with help from their tech support that sent a personalized wiring instruction but could have guessed it - it's that easy. (Instructions for getting the wiring instruction were in the box.) Not sure yet if it will lower costs but it appears to have so far. Best of all, we can turn the thermostat down if we leave town, from our phone.

I'm pretty amazed so far. It was an easy install as well as syncing and connecting to it. After downloading the app, the instructions walk you step by step with pictures. It looks and feels smooth, I just installed a couple of days so I havent had much experience with it yet but I'm loving it so far.

Easy to install. Love that I can control thermostat from my cell phone. I can control the temperature when I am away from home or just sitting on the couch. It looks stylish on the wall.

My electric bill in my 1 bedroom apartment has reached over $100 and I don't even run my AC too much. So I've had my eye on the Nest ever since the came out. It was time for me to invest so I could save. It's easy to install and set up. I love it. I know when I'm saving energy because the little green leaf shows up. It's got some pretty interesting features and you can tell it was designed by smart engineers. Leaving the fan running after the AC has turned off to get all the cool air from the coils to get the best use of your AC is just so awesome. I had bad habits when starting to use the Nest when I first got it. But as I try and adjust how I cool my apartment the Nest takes time to adjust to what I want. It's got a cool away feature that puts your nest into energy save mode. If you have pets at home you may not want this is your place gets hot easily, you might come home to a heat exhausted pup.... then again you can set the settings to what max temp you want it set at. They suggest 85 degrees when leaving the house. But you can set on your phone when it knows you're coming home to have your place cooled to your desired temperature when you come home so you don't have to wait for it to cool down when you're trying to get settled in when you're home. I hope next month my bill will be lower. They have a new fan that's called the Haiku that I received notice of through an email. That's my next option. The fan works with the Nest to give you maximum comfort and save the most energy. The fan looks pretty awesome too.

Great thermostat.It has a convienant dial that's smooth and fast.it turns on ver fast ,it's very simple to install and operate.I love the look and feel of the product,very well made.It looks very modern and sleek.You cannot go wrong installing this.I love it.try it you will love it too.
