The software is much faster as well as the installation. The weather feature is excellent and display is brighter.

Could be better with Matter support so it would work with Apple Home. Google's cheaper thermostat supports Matter, no reason this one shouldn't. It has all the necessary hardware for it.

I was comparing multiple other thermostats and bought this, It really is a helpful in many ways. Specially controlling the temperature thru voice assistance is a best part of it. Google commits to bring users the same feature and software support you’ve always had. However, we made the difficult decision to stop support for Nest Secure and Dropcam starting April 8, 2024 but not on Nest Learning Thermostat. Will pay for itself quickly due to the fact I can keep the heat and A/C low and then remotely adjust temperature just before I get home.

We travel quite frequently and this thermostat has made all the difference. It isn't just peace of mind, and the ability to check on it remotely. It really does LEARN!
