I've had this thermostat installed for about 1.5 months now. Installation was easy and its working as advertised so far. I tried a different wifi thermostat first and it just didn't work well for me so I took it back and went with the nest. It's learned my schedule and I live the auto away feature. I never remembered to adjust my thermostat when I was away, now I don't have to!

So far working great with my furnace. I have a two wire hook up and this thermostat uses power from the furnace to keep the battery charged with no extra wires needed. The app interface is good. Installation was easy with plenty of support if needed. Now I’ll know for sure that the temperature in my house is good when I travel during the winter. Has some other good bells and whistles but that was low on my priority scale.

It was so easy to have it installed and the app is so easy weather. The best part has been waking up freezing and using my phone to turn up the heat without getting out of bed

Definitely worth the purchase! We can already tell a difference on our electric bill. So easy to use, easy to instill, and a friendly app as well. It’s nice being able to adjust the temperature without getting out of bed!

Stylish, nice features, easy to install. I had been looking at getting one of these for a while but was waiting as they are a little pricey. I’m glad I decided to finally pull the trigger. Works great.

Really easy to install. No need for tools, tape, stickers or whatever, everything you need is in the box. You also need to know how to turn on and off the breaker for the air handeling unit and thermostat stuff, if not, just shut the whole house down for 15min because that is how ping it takes to install. Although, before buying this make sure your system is compatible. Anyway. Just an amazing product and a must have

It’s a nifty device, it is a learning device and it only takes one day for it to learn what your pattern of temperature settings are. It also recognizes when you leave your home and it automatically adjust the temp to reflect it. I like it because I can adjust the temperature from my phone wherever I am.

Thermostat is Easy to use, good value, and has given us energy savings

I recently replaced my entire home A/C unit which had the 1st generation Google Nest Thermostat. Simplicity is the name of the game here. The Nest Thermostat is compatible with 85% of home heating and cooling systems and the units are an easy DYI Install which is why I purchased the 3rd generation thermostats. With the Nest Thermostat on the wall and connected, setup is completed by letting the app know your schedule and temperature preferences. I have my home and away routines to help the Nest learn my habits and which saves energy.

I love this thermostat. This is the second unit I get and I installed it on the second floor. The installation was very simple (I saw the installation of the first unit and I was able to install it myself this time). The most tedious part is the wifi password since there is no keyboard and typing a long complex password with a turning hub is a pain. After that I just added it to my nest account and works like a charm. Things I like is that I can monitor usage, see usage history, set it to learn the most common temperatures. That I can see the temperature from my phone if needed and I can change it from anywhere. I can monitor temperature if I go on vacation. Things that I do not like is the price. I got my on sale for thanksgiving but I will have a hard time buying it at a regular price. so price aside. I love it.

Google nest thermostat is nice, small and sleak. I love the look of it and it very simple to operate. Mobile app is user friendly.

Great product. Super easy to install took about 20 mins to install following the in app direction. I’ve never swapped out a thermostat before this one.

We love our new thermostat. It looks really sharp in our living room and was very easy to install, even for a new home owner with no experience with electrical or HVAC.

Works wonderful and looks attractive with the mounting plate included in the box. It was fairly easy to install. I am pleased that I finally purchased this item after much thinking.

So, recently moved into a new to me home, and had a Nest in our previous home- LOVE IT. Although we didn’t install the first one, we thought that it would be pretty easy. To be honest, I think it would have been if I knew exactly what we had as far as HVAC system … we have an electric system with a heat pump… haven’t had one of those before buuuuttt the app walks you through everything… The app told me once that it was unable to determine if we could install the nest and once that it was not compatible. As I was getting ready to return the thermostat (so dismal), I decided to contact google nest support and WOW, they were so awesome. They determined that our system was compatible and sent me an email of how I should wire the thermostat. It would pretty well, no complaints so far! Love it!

After a few weeks of adjusting the temperature when we get up and go to bed, it totally knows our schedule. Having it track both of our phones, it also knows when we are not home and will adjust the temperature accordingly. So far, we love it. It is nice that it knows the weather forecast for your area.

Bought the Nest Thermostat hoping to save some money on our energy bill. Installation was the easiest thing possible, anyone can figure it out (just make sure you have the proper power switch turned off and check the wires for activity) When we first installed it, I actually thought I installed it incorrectly because the data being collected was telling me my AC unit was running for a good 14-15hrs straight daily!!...called my heating and cooling guy to make sure A) I installed it right and B) that my AC unit was functioning properly. when he checked my AC unit it was low on refrigerant. He topped that off and BAM my data (on Eco mode) shows my unit MAYBE runs 45m to an hour a day and even at times no usage at all for days!!!. I LOVE LOVE having a visual aid to my furnace/AC usage!!! Now we will just have to wait and see what the winter will bring... This product was pretty pricey and I even considered getting my money back before installing it because of it's cost. BUT, reading reviews and seeing how this thermostat could save me so much more money in the long run I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! I would highly recommend this product!!!

This is a great toy to have, it makes life easy especially when I travel and I'm not home for a weekend. A lot of neat stuff can be done with the thermostat so I recommend if you have extra money to burn. If I had to buy it again I would probably skip. Right now I live in the desert so I guess I'm get sufficient use out of it but once I move back to San Diego it will have no use...
