Good as the first gen . I own all gen I don’t regret at all to get this one . Really easy to use , to install , and even better if you can add it to google ecosystem HUB .

Bought the Nest Thermostat hoping to save some money on our energy bill. Installation was the easiest thing possible, anyone can figure it out (just make sure you have the proper power switch turned off and check the wires for activity) When we first installed it, I actually thought I installed it incorrectly because the data being collected was telling me my AC unit was running for a good 14-15hrs straight daily!!...called my heating and cooling guy to make sure A) I installed it right and B) that my AC unit was functioning properly. when he checked my AC unit it was low on refrigerant. He topped that off and BAM my data (on Eco mode) shows my unit MAYBE runs 45m to an hour a day and even at times no usage at all for days!!!. I LOVE LOVE having a visual aid to my furnace/AC usage!!! Now we will just have to wait and see what the winter will bring... This product was pretty pricey and I even considered getting my money back before installing it because of it's cost. BUT, reading reviews and seeing how this thermostat could save me so much more money in the long run I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! I would highly recommend this product!!!

We are very happy with our 3rd generation Nest Learning themostat (model T3018US). I was very skeptical about this product due to the fact that our home is very old and does not have a "C" wire that is required for most smart thermostats. Google Nest has a great website that walks you through their products and asks you questions to see which thermostat will work best for your home. This one popped up so we gave it a try, after putting this off for many years, for fear of having to find an electrician to install (which is difficult to get for a small job like this). Once we had the product at home, it took us under an hour to install. It was super easy. Google has mastered their step by step instructions online. As you complete each step, you click next and it brings you along with pictures and well written intructions. We noticed after about a week how efficient this thermostat is. Our home temperature has been more stable and we don't hear the heat going on/off as often as it was. The smartapp is also very easy to use and monitor or modify the temp when you're away. The one minor thing we noticed is it can be hard to tell what the room temperature is when looking at the thermostat. On the app, you need to click into it and you'll see it (see picture showing 67 in the middle which is the "set" temp; 69 on the top, which is the actual room temp). The actual thermostat on the wall appears black until you walk into the room. Then it shows the set temp with the room temp so small you can't read it unless you're up close (see 2nd pic). You can chose other settings for the display, but you will lose the actual temp when you do that. Lastly, when you click into the thermostat, the display only shows the actual room temp. (3rd pic) A little weird but not an issue. Im summary, we love this thermostat and are very happy.

This is a great toy to have, it makes life easy especially when I travel and I'm not home for a weekend. A lot of neat stuff can be done with the thermostat so I recommend if you have extra money to burn. If I had to buy it again I would probably skip. Right now I live in the desert so I guess I'm get sufficient use out of it but once I move back to San Diego it will have no use...

I’ve always wanted a Nest thermostat ever since they released. I became a homeowner this year, and this was one of the very first things of adding to my new home. The installation went smoothly, and it helps having all the instructions very nicely detailed. The thermostat works as intended and even has cost saving features, turning on the A/C only when necessary. It’s also nice to be able to control it from the app on my phone. And I always enjoy passing by it and making the display come to life.

I love that I can change the temperature on my phone so I dont have to get out of bed. It looks super sleek

Very happy with this thermostat so far. Very easy to install and replace my old manual one. Was able to set up a schedule and keep track of when I replace my filters. Also very convenient to be able to adjust when not at home through the app. Will be purchasing another one for my other A/C unit soon.

I’ve had it for almost a year now and it’s has worked amazing! The app is super easy to use. It notifies you whenever you need your filter changed and sends you monthly reports for energy used as well as gives you acces to control your thermostat from your phone or tablet. Their customer service is amazing! And it looks so sleek and modern on my wall. This comes with one year warranty so Nest has you covered. Really recommend this thermostat!

This works perfectly and I save 12% in electricity after I install it The intelligence and learning function is perfect It memorizes the hours in which you need to have the right temperature so that you feel comfortable I recommend the purchase you will not regret it Great thermostat

So far, I’m really liking the nest thermostat. It has integrated well with the rest of our Google Home gadgets, it looks great on the wall (which is unfortunately in my living room) and I’m hoping it makes a difference in my utility bills.

I was hesitant at first but now I love it. So easy to use from anywhere. Home & office I can control and manage the thermostat. Plus it was so easy to install.

I upated mt thermostat to google so that i had abikiry to control home temp from phone. I also like the fact that this thermostat studies your habits with using A/C and/or Heating. I definitely recommend to homeowners to test it out and see if it can save you money on energy.

Following installation and set up instructions was very easy and clear. Their web site makes finding the correct thermostat for your system a no brainer. Don’t forget to take a photo of your old wiring before starting installation. As soon as it was set up and I also bought the remote temperature device, it seemed that the HVAC comes on quicker than before. I’m anxious to see how it works while we are out and also see if the ECO feature saves us money.

Looks sleek, replacing an outdated thermostat. Really like the app, and ability to control the temperature from anywhere.

Bought this on sale to replace an old malfunctioning thermostat. Very easy to install. It came with all necessary tools, a face plate to cover marks left by old thermostat so no need for wall or paint repair, and a built in level. All set up in maybe 30 minutes. I can view my energy usage from the day before and adjustment my cooling/schedule accordingly all on my phone. I also like being able to set a fan schedule to promote air circulation even when it's not actively cooling. Be sure to check with your energy companies for rebates; in the end I got mine for less than half price.

I like my Nest thermostats and think the app works well. Nice to be able to change them when I’m not home. I had three at my old home and never had any issues. I have two currently and one stoped being able to connect to the internet. It was pretty easy to talk with support and they sent me a new one. But unfortunately it’s been a couple months of it working and now the same thing is happening again.

This is the best thermostat I have used, and had purchased one 6 years ago for another home I used to live it and worked great. I had gotten this one for my in-law because it works with older heating and cooling units. I had tried the cheaper Google Nest Smart version and it didn't work because you needed to run a constant power wire.

Not hard to install, quick. Love that I don’t have to go upstairs to lower or raise, eco mode is great and you can set if you are away!
