    Best Portable Bluetooth Speaker!

When I first saw this speaker, I knew it must be good, coming from a brand like Harman/Kardon, but I was a bit skeptical. I did some research and found that not many people consider this speaker when looking for a bluetooth speaker because of the price! (I obtained this speaker from Best Buy on Black Friday, heavily discounted for $150.) I compared it to other speakers in store and to my friends speakers and it is BY FAR the best out of all of them. The Bose Soundlink Mini II sounds shallow and lacks the deep-reaching quality of this speaker. The Bose Soundlink III sounds worse that the Mini II in the bass department, if you ask me, and it also sounds shallow and worn out. The new Beats Pill+ massively lacks the low ends as well compared to this speaker. Also, the Fugoo speakers are very bad in my opinion, and as soon as I played one song, I didn't consider them again. The only speakers that came close to comparing to the Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio 2 was the JBL Xtreme and the Sony XRS-X7 and they are both $300 and almost never discounted! Also, JBL is part of the same audio company, Harman, that Harman/Kardon and superior companies like Infinity are part of. Inspite of having a dedicated 62mm subwoofer, the Sony XRS-X7 reaches just as low (around 60 hertz) as the Onyx. At the end of it all, I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to purchase Harman Audio products. If I had to go through this process again, the only other speaker I would consider looking at is the Klipsch Groove, seeing how Klipsch is another big audio company, but no stores carry the Grove so it didn't have a chance. I don't think it would've sounded as good as this speaker anyway.

This is a nice unit and works well. I don't like the fact it doesn't have a remote control. They told me download the app , so I did, and it sucks you can't control the speaker with the app. The only option it has if you want to play mysic but no controls for volume and such.

Probably best sounding bluetooth speaker you can get. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long. It can no longer play without plugged in because battery is not charging. The back support legs are meant to be broken as they are very fragile. And it's hard to replace/repair once it's broken. It happened all once the warranty ran out (barely after 1 year). Also bluetooth disconnects when you switch between AC & battery modes and you have to re-connect - what the heck is this?? I would love to get a newer model but am afraid how long it will last.

Advertised as if it’s loud, like you could use it outside. I realize that’s a tall order for a portable speaker but it’s advertised as being great for outdoor use. I returned it and got the Sony size equivalent and it’s great!
