Solid performance for the price

I had been looking to upgrade the size of our primary living room TV for a little while and when this went on sale it was hard to pass on it for the price. We've had it for about 9 months now and I am fairly pleased with it's performance. I've found that the blacks aren't quite as dark as I'd like or seen on other higher priced TV's, but again for the price, I can't complain. Is this a high end OLED type picture quality? No, but I also wasn't expecting that since I paid a third or less of what one would cost.
The packaging it came in was great, well supported and protected. Be advised though, this TV is heavy. Mounting the whole unit was definitely a process, be sure you have your mount well anchored if you are electing to mount and hang instead of using the provided feet.
All in all, we are pleased with this TV and it's hard to beat the price for the size and quality.

Got this 85” beauty a few weeks ago and I’m absolutely impressed by it. Super easy to setup n use. The picture is phenomenal with excellent sound built in. The value for your money is unbeatable as for the same money you can only get a 65” or 75” of other brands with same specs. Definitely a top buy. A no brainer. Surely there are better 85” out there but prepare to spend at least a thousand bucks more and only get slight and insignificant improvements. I’m super happy with this purchase!

Best TV at the price point

This TV has an excellent picture quality. Compared to the Samsung and LG TVs (I own them as well) for around $2K, the picture quality is better with deeper blacks and better bright room viewability. Sure it doesn't have the same picture quality of the $3K TVs, but this one has been on sale for $1K. Untouchable at that price. You do need to go into the settings and disable the Enhanced Viewing or you will contantly get a pop up on the upper right corner saying it's optimizing for something you aren't even watching. It has a much better speaker than Samsung which tends to cheap out on their more basic models. Watching WW84 in 4K with 7.1 surround sound and sitting about 9ft away is really better than being at the theater. It may be hard to pay $1700 when it was offered for $1K a couple times, but it's still better than the on sale Samsung and LG models at this price point. And, yes, it's a heavy TV. But, it's not like you are going to be moving it around all the time. Heaviness is the cost of full array backlighting I suspect.

I’m a Samsung guy. Was in Best Buy for an hour to get the best bang for my dollar on an 85in tv.
Well after watching the Samsung, LG, and Sony quality. They all looked great under 4K input demos. ....... but this Hisense came through Bc not only did the picture look astonishing but did I tell u I got it for $999 on cyber Monday!!! Go get this TV. Times have changed. And tv technology is now at its best. Don’t look at this brand. Look at the picture, the quality, the price..... and yes size always matters.

It is a great television with a great price. Very good quality, excellent brightness. it has a sound I would say too loud but with a sound bar it is more pleasant ... not ideal for gamers since it does not support vrr ... good investment for movie nights

If you’re not a TV expert (like me) who knows everything about refresh rates, viewing angles, mini leds or quantum dot differences… and you just want the biggest, nice looking tv you can afford, I can tell you this is the TV to get. There’s nothing else at this price point. The image is sharp, vibrant and it has good sound. If you buy it, you won’t regret it.

Great the 1st 3 years then the screen shut off and we can’t get it back. Luckily we have 5 year geek squad warranty, which always helpful. Will update once repair is done.

Good TV, bad support

The TV itself is excellent for the price.
The first TV I received had a bad pixel. Hisense support is worthless (yes I followed their process, and they kept confirming they received my request and that a "level 2 tech" would be reaching out) and I'm confident the 1 year warranty is indeed worthless as well. After several calls to Best Buy, they finally did come to my house to exchange with a new unit.
The TV is bright and sharp. I can't comment on the internal apps as I have it hooked up to other devices. If you are watching in total darkness, the black levels leave something to be desired, however with any lights on, the picture is excellent. When I set out looking for a TV of this size, I was considering a unit at 3x what I paid for this. For the quality/price consideration, I couldn't pass it up.
Overall, this was a good purchase.

The TV worked fine for a while and then it stopped working and would not turn on. Just a blank screen. I am glad I purchased the Geek Squad protection plan.

I was surprised, when seeking to set up this TV, that I needed an Internet connection to do so. I prefer stand-alone devices, like a TV that all one has to do is plug it in and it works. I guess what I missed, as I focused on its great price, was that it is a 'smart' TV... Additionally, in seeking to set it up, I had to agree to Google's terms of service, which included that Google wished my consent to listen in to conversations that could be overheard by that TV. This aspect I do dislike. Google informed me, that if I declined to accept their terms of service, then I should return the TV to where I purchased it. I did agree, and leave this TV unplugged when it is not in use.

Got the TV during sale and its been great so far. Make sure you have a huge truck if picking up since the box is humongous. It's also very heavy at 100+ lbs so if you're planning to mount it, good luck on that. If I will need another TV, I will not think twice to get this under-appreciated brand.

Best than Sony XBR900H

Don't hesitate to buy. It's way better than the Sony 900H! Much brighter too. We tested the 86" LG 8570 ($1600), the Sony 85" XBR900H ($2000), and the Hisense 85H6510G.
The LG was instantly bad. Very dim and soccer looked terrible. Returned to Costco.
The Sony had amazing colors, motion was pretty good too. Not bright enough at all. Missing features that were advertised 4K120hz, ALLM, etc... Not bright enough is the main reason I wanted try the Hisense (and it's half the price @ $999)
I brought the Hisense home while the Sony was still mounted on my living room wall. We set it up using the feet so it could sit on the floor directly below the Sony.
My family and I gathered around and played 4K YouTube, YouTube TV, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+, HBOMax, etc.... Using each TV's integrated apps, A FireStick 4K, an AppleTV, and a PS4 Pro.
All content looked much better on the Hisense when compared to the Sony. Not even close.
I have three large windows in our living room and I can finally watch TV without closing the curtains. Nighttime viewing also looks GREAT!
Best bang for your buck that I can find after looking for 6 months, checking deals everyday. I'm finally done looking.

I was a little nervous buying the tv since I wasn’t familiar with the brand. All of our other tv’s are Vizio. However, it has a great picture! We watch movies/sports, and play our gaming consoles on it and have experienced no issues. It was easy to set up, but it does take 2 people. The price was great and if I had room I’d buy another.

Biggest 85 inch TV I have seen under $1000

This was the first 85 inch TV I have seen priced under $1000 (Early Dec 2020) on Bestbuys deal of the day so I bit on it craving one of the largest practical large screen TVs of today. I haven't had it long, but so far not bad. It is an upgrade tv for my bedroom from a 70 inch Visio 3D TV. One other thing I like about the new Hisence is that It cooperates very well with a Fire cube TV unlike an older Android TV I own that seems to want to start up its Android OS and have me switch to the Fire TVs input. This new TV let's me start right from the HDMI Input I left off at upon startup and skip Android. Only thing that would make it better in my opinion is if it actually had the Fire TV OS vs Android since that's all I ever use but in this day and age it is impossible for this size. Still an Android Os is better than the old Visio OS that stopped updates a year after I bought it.

I was a bit reluctant to buy this TV at first, but I wanted a bigger TV than the 75" I had in my living room. When the price hit $999.00 I went all in. After a bit of research, I found out the Hisense brand makes components for many name brand TV's. It took a bit of tweaking to get it to my level of satisfaction. I also found the android smart TV functions better than the apps on my 75" TV. It has built in Bluetooth and great speakers. All in all it was well worth the money.
