Looking for a new thermostat without the huge price tag of a nest? The lyric is for you. Geofencing, wifi enabled and Alexa compatible. I have young children at home all day so I do not need the learning function. Everything is set to schedule. If I feel the need to make minor adjustments, I have Alexa assist me. No hassle of logging in through an app. Setup was super simple. Just make sure you have a C wire.

We love that we can adjust the temp of the house from our phones even when we are away!

I did a little research about the "C" wire and with that it made the install very easy. The programing is very simple and I love being able to turn off/on wherever I am at via phone. Plus I received a $100 rebate from Consumers Energy. So I paid $8 for this item.

This thermostat works great and with the geofencing I dont have to even think about my thermostat at all after the initial pre-programming which was very easy. During the hurricane and loss of power the thermostat came right back on service without a glitch.

This is a great basic thermostat. Looks great and works well.

Love my new thermostat I can now control my house temperature even out of town

Cheaper then the Nest and just as many (maybe more functions then the Nest). Installed it myself, took about an hour but I was lucky enough to have most of the wires already in place. Check your utility company for rebates, got 75 in rebates for myself.

You get the features of a more expensive Thermostat without paying extra.

Once you have a "C" wire that supplies the 25 volts needed to power the thermostat, it is a piece of cake to install, program, and use remotely. You can even ask Alexa to change the temp or what the current setting is... slick.

I purchased this unit to begin the home automation process. Not only is the unit easy to install for someone that is not handy but the app is very user friendly by using a thermostat image for most functions. I highly recommend this product.

I am not very tech savvy but this was very easy to use and set up, I like the fact that I can see on my phone the temperature in my home when I am away traveling or at work and adjust the temperature if necessary.

This is a very nice looking thermostat. It is easy to use and works with a phone app. Phone app works great also. Initial installation was a bit of a pain, but being patient and actually reading the instructions helps.

I bought two of these to replace the outdated thermostats in my home. Set up was very easy and they look great. I love being able to monitor the temperature at home from my smartphone when I'm away. I also very much like the geofencing feature that automatically adjusts the thermostat when both my wife and I are away from home and then goes back to our preferred comfort level before we arrive home. It isn't a "learning" thermostat like the Nest, but then our schedules don't work well with a learning thermostat like the geofence does.

Easy installation and easy to control with app on smartphone!

Great product for the price vs nest. Installation was easy as long as same wire setup as the one you are replacing. I had to add a c wire but worked out fine. Ease of use is good. Works well with Siri.

I already owned one of these prior to purchasing another one, just in a different color. They work great and offer a great set of features, and make a great addition to any smart home setup.

Bought this as a gift for my 24 year old daughter. She had never hooked up anything like this herself before. She easily took out her old dial thermostat, installed, and set this one up using the supplied instructions. I already have a wireless thermostat but may replace it with this one.

So I'm hooked on technology. I got the Echo Dot for Christmas and have had fun with it. My wife has one now. So, what other gadgets can we get? I'd been looking for a new thermostat for a year and didn't want to pay an exorbitant amount for the "bird's home", if you know what I mean. The Lyric T5 was much cheaper than the competitors. I didn't want anything too "smart" and complicated. This one was offered at a decent price and had wifi connection and works with the Echo Dot. Installation? Not a problem. I didn't have the C wire that is required, but I was able to run one myself without much trouble. DIY and save a bit of money or hire an HVAC pro. Setup was a breeze. It connected to my wifi and my Echo Dot found it easily. Now I can tell Alexa what I want the temperature set at and viola! It's done. It even has geofencing so it sets my desired temperature automatically before I even walk in the door. It does everything you want without any complications. I certainly recommend it to any technogeeks looking for more gadgets.
