Great laptop I love the copilot option on it! It’s helped me on editing some of my guitar work and I also love gaming on it.

I love this laptop, it doesn’t have all the internal storage I need but overall for what it’s worth I have no complaints and would purchase it over again!

The HP 14-dq3000dx is a basic and entry-level computer aimed at a younger crowd or those who want simple device. If you’re looking for a speed machine then this device is not for you. That said this HP laptop is a 14 inch laptop being in the middle of large and small laptops which is the sweet spot for me. The housing is termed snowflake white which actually reminds me of an older computer named after a fruit. At least it’s not in the usual black or silver. It is powered by the older Celeron 4500 chip which is not really fast enough for heavy computing. But still it is sufficient enough for general use. However it only comes with a measly 4GB of RAM which is not really that much and may hinder performance. Had it come with 8GB of RAM performance would much be better. Also, it comes with 64GB of eMMC. Again this is not the fastest. Like most computers of this class, these would not be expandable. Then again I surmise the target market of this computer is not really going for expansion options. This computer comes with Windows 11 in S Mode. For those who are not familiar with S Mode, this is the version of Windows that only allows apps to be installed from the Windows store. This is done for security purposes. But for those who want to install apps outside the Windows store, there is a way to set the version of Windows to the regular version. This version is the Home version. And once you switch to the Home version, there is no way to revert back to S Mode. Lastly, this laptop includes an initial subscription of Microsoft 365. That alone is more than half the cost of this laptop. Do note this applies only to new users only. Connectivity is fairly good for this class as it has two USB B ports. I am not sure if these are USB 3 compliant as there is no documentation regarding this and both do not have blue markings on the ports. It does have a USB C port which is new for me regarding this class of PC. And lastly, it does have an HDMI port and an SD card reader. Lastly battery power is fairly adequate since it has three cells which would last you between two to four hours. Your mileage may vary depending on use. Overall this is a decent laptop for its price. Again this is not a fast machine but it has its target market. I’d still recommend this laptop.

The laptop came well sealed, in excellent condition with a charger, it's like new, no damage. It was very easy to set up, I did it by myself following the instructions. The only problem i have the battery drop a little too fast. It's nothing I don't use it every day. I Added Photos for reference. If you need a second laptop, this one is a good choice (4GB memory, 64GB eMMC), great size, not big, good price.

The staff was very professional, friendly, and showed great patience with me. I was able to get the laptop that I needed for school. I appreciate all the help!

Decent laptop for the price. A few things need to be disaabled and jailbroke to make it fully functional for me. The lack of lightning capable USB-C was annoying.

I received the HP 14" Laptop with Intel Celeron 4GB Memory and 64GB eMMC. The laptop is thin, lightweight and modern looking, It can fit easily into a backpack or tote, which makes it easy to take anywhere for reliable computing on the go. The keyboard is a standard keyboard, but does not have backlighting which is especially useful in low-light or evening work, It would have been a nice feature to have. The layout also does not include numerals on the right side which also would of been useful. The Led screen is basic, no touch screen. There are plenty of built-in ports, including USB Type A , USB Type C, HDMI, headphone/mic, and the charger. The laptop comes with the typical HP power cord and port. Battery life seems to be averaging about 5-7 hours before needing to charge it. It has basic hardware, a Celeron N4500 processor, 4Gb ram, and 64Gb storage, which is not really that much and may hinder performance. Overall, this would be great laptop without all the bells and whistles for beginners, seniors, or younger students.

I have had difficulty choosing between a Chromebook and an entry level Windows Laptop. Chromebooks typically work quite well, but they feel limited in functionality as they are designed around the Google programs. This HP Windows PC is less restricted [than a Chromebook], but often feels prohibitively slow. I ordered the computer for my 10-year-old son to use mainly for school - and also for a bit of entertainment. For an entry level PC, the laptop is decent - but does leave a lot to be desired. After installing a whole slew of updates, the speed of the computer did improve, but it can still feel frustratingly slow fairly often. Opening systems & programs take so long to open that the user begins to doubt if the request has even registered. My son is convinced that his school Chromebook is noticeably faster at opening web pages and programs. It is slow enough that I genuinely worry that he will avoid using it. While I like that the lid has a webcam built in, I do not like that there is no camera cover. I also do not like that the laptop only has about 15 gigs of free hard drive space. Thankfully there is an SD card slot, but this means more money will be spent to ensure he has enough storage to save documents, projects, pictures, etc. Seasaw does function for his schoolwork, and he is technically able to play Roblox - although it does not run consistently smooth. Even light games like Candy Crush lag at times. I am still torn when comparing with a Chromebook. I still like having the open availability of Windows and I do like that it comes with a dedicated CoPilot A.I. button, but I wish the computer would run more smoothly. If you choose a Windows Laptop over a Chromebook, save up for as much computer you can afford. This HP works and will get you through most tasks, but you'll have to be patient through lag and slow load times. Pros: + SD Card Slot + Dedicated CoPilot button (A.I. chat) + Pin Hole Microphone does a fantastic job at capturing quality audio + Lid features a small tab to assist with opening + Light weight + Some nice stylish details such as the subtle design around the keyboard & trackpad Cons: - No camera cover - No fingerprint reader - Keyboard is not backlit - Keyboard feels spongey and cheap - Only comes with about 15 gigs of usable hard drive space - Does not charge with USB-C - Extremely limited graphics capabilities

nboxing - The laptop comes boxed with a slim AC adaptor and setup card. It’s easy to set up - Just plug it in to charge and hit power. Windows 11 will walk you through all of the initial options. I appreciate the the packaging is entirely recyclable. First impressions - It’s a budget laptop, similar to a Chromebook. The build is mostly plastic but the chassis and screen do not have much flex in them. The screen feels adequately protected to be placed in a standard backpack or notebook case. The screen has accurate color and is quite bright. Once set up, I noted that the viewing angle sweet spot on the screen is quite narrow. This might present challenges if you have more than one person trying to watch a streaming service on the screen. The keyboard has quite a bit of flex in it but feels quite tough overall. Battery Life - I did not check the official rating or expectation, I found I could play through three feature length films and have 20-35 percent battery left. I was able to surf and read for hours without significant or fast drain. A few hours of Netflix was also possible. Connectivity - Wifi of course and also bluetooth. I was able to connect bluetooth mice, a headset and other devices without issue. Overall performance - Quite good for such a “low spec” machine - It’s always fun to use a laptop like this for everyday tasks and Have everything open quickly or play perfectly. Windows S Mode ? - Windows “S” mode is enabled out of the box. This is effectively windows home edition with extra safeguards in place where apps can only be installed from the windows store. I tested this and it worked as expected but ultimately disabled it to Install additional applications like visual studio code, openoffice and Blender3d. If I were setting this laptop up for pre-teen or inexperienced user - I would leave it in “S” mode. There is no cost to turn this mode off and windows becomes “Home edition”. Windows Recovery - If you want to restore this laptop to out of the box condition, it can do so from a hidden image on the internal storage. It can also be backed up and restored to a 128GB or larger USB drive. What I love ! Full size SD card slot to add storage Performance fine for daily tasks Great Battery Life - Plays through 3-4 movies ! Room for improvement - A backlit keyboard would be appreciated

This laptop seems to be designed as a basic device. I would feel it is intended as an economical choice for young students, or someone at home doing just the basic tasks - such as emails, light surfing, and videos. It is not intended for gaming, photo processing etc. It has basic hardware. A Celeron N4500 processor with 2 cores running at 1.1GHz, 4Gb ram, and 64Gb storage. The case appears to be all plastic, an attractive white that doesn't attract fingerprints. But, the case and screen felt sturdy enough, and the screen maintained its position well. There are a number of things to like about this computer. It is a good option for everyday tasks, and can open some multiple apps at the same time. It will also manage a few multiple browser tabs open at once. There is a good selection of ports. There is one USB C port, two USB A ports, HDMI port, headphone jack, power port, and a SD card slot. The SD card slot allows the card to be almost fully be inserted – it does not stick out, and be in the way as with some other laptops. The keyboard has good travel, and typing was easy. But be advised, the keys are light colored with gray lettering, and there is no backlight, so typing in dim light is not an easy task. The track pad worked well, but felt “plasticky” when clicking. The sound output from the speakers is adequate, with enough volume and reasonable tone from small laptop speakers. There are also some negatives. The screen has poor color rendition, it is only HD with 1366 X 768 resolution, and appears to be a TN screen - with poor off axis viewing. If the screen is tilted horizontally or vertically only a few degrees off center, it washes out. Also, I did note that while charging and updating, the bottom right area got quite hot. As received, it is running Windows 11 in S mode, which limits what apps can be downloaded. This can be oped out, but once done, it cannot be returned to S mode. However, to install “non microsoft” apps, you have to opt out... The storage is extremely limited, with only 64Gb as received, and after updates, there is only about 16Gb free. This is extremely small, and an SD card is an absolute necessity for storage. Overall, this could be a good choice for basic computing needs, if you keep in mind the limitations of the computer, and do not expect gaming performance.

How this computer for not even a month and it is the worst computer

HP has been a manufacturer I mostly trust when it comes to laptops. I mostly own higher-end models, but sometimes, all you need is a compact laptop that doesn't sound like a landing Boeing 747 and can handle simple tasks. No need to break the bank when all you do is shopping online or going through your emails. That is something that this HP laptop can do. The first aspect I'm going to discuss is a technical one, the heart of any system: The CPU. Intel has been known to develop low-end processors for quite a while. Their most successful one was the Atom CPU, which you will find re-branded to Celeron (which used to be a different tier of CPU's) inside this machine. It's not meant for heavy loads but is relatively cheap to produce. This HP laptop contains a "Celeron" N4500 which probably doesn't tell you a whole lot. Suffice to say that its dual core setup won't allow you to play much else than solitaire. The memory and storage follow the same path, with very limited resources to keep the price down. There are 4 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of eMMC storage (a sluggish type of mass storage which is cheap to produce). Thankfully, instead of using a regular Windows 11 flavor, HP decided to go the more efficient route and use Windows 11 S, which is a stripped down version of Windows. Considering the available memory and storage, it was a good choice. I would argue that a Linux distribution would probably do a better job, but that also depends on which distribution you'd use. The biggest problem is the fact that Windows S does not allow you to install random software, as you must use the Microsoft Store to download what you need. Surprisingly, this little laptop comes with a nice amount of ports, including a Type C and a HDMI, along with the classic USB A and headphone jack, and to polish it off, you even get a SD card reader. The power adapter - sadly - isn't going through the USB port. Not that it matters much but it's harder to find replacements if it burns out. The screen is fine, nothing out of this world. The resolution is 720p which is pretty low and the colors and the contrast aren't great. The sound is what you would expect from a laptop of this caliber (even though it sounds alright using headphones). The materials which make up this laptop seem solid, maybe a bit too rigid which in return tells me that it will break easily without a protecting case or sleeve. The trackpad is just mediocre and feels wobbly. It's also rather small. The design is sleek and simple, the hinges of the screen are nicely tight. To wrap this up, let's just say that you get what you pay for, which in this case is a decent value for your buck. It's not built to run much else than office software, browse online or check the latest Youtube channels. That's pretty much it. So if you only need a compact laptop to do just that for a solid price, then go for it. It's a very good value.

I prefer to write short reviews, so I will try to keep things short, but there's alot to cover. So the TLDR version is: Good battery work laptop, ok at youtube/netflix, no gaming. Firstly, this is a simple laptop to accomplish simple tasks. It's light, it has low storage space low memory intentionally to keep things economical. So don't expect this to be running any video games or video editing When you first turn it on and start up, it's going to take about 2 hours. My gigabit wifi, I was able to download all the updates in about 20 minutes, but after initial update, there's more updates, and with the amount of updates, it'll take a while. Wished it came with a more updated Windows, but it's pretty standard in the industry, it's fine. Just know it'll take about 2 hours. Once you're up and running, the first thing I notice is the color / contrast of the screen. You can watch movies or youtube videos, but you're not going to get cinema grade reproductions here. Which is fine, but just know that's what you're getting. The contrast is mediocre at best, poor blacks and grey transitions. This coupled with the 1366x768 resolution 60hz refresh rate, this is a document/excel machine, with a touch of AI, not a cinema. Immediately, noticeable also is the speed of the computer. It's a laptop, so saving on power/speed is versatile to keep the laptop going, but it can bother some people. I think the stuttering bothered me a little bit, and although it voids your warranty, if you're comfortable this does have a user upgradeable memory. I had an 8gb DDR4 module laying around so I opened it up and immediately felt an improvement, but still stutters every once in a while. I included a photo of the layout if anyone needs to use it as reference. The case is easy to remove, just follow some guides. Speaker wise, nothing noteworthy, it's simple, enough to get the job done. Having the negatives out of the way, there are a few things I do appreciate on this guy. The battery life, out of the box (the power management settings, the brightness, etc, I left it the way it is) I was able to get 10 hours of use, give or take. I didn't hold a watch to it but I was able to get through a work day and then a few hours after work with this laptop. The machine is light, easy to carry, easy trackpad to work with, with a little AI button to top it off. I would recommend this to a friend if they knew they were getting a work laptop.

A solid little machine if you need something functional and lightweight. It handles everyday tasks like email, browsing, and the slim design makes it perfect for travel. If you are looking for a bare-bones, decent quality, and highly portable little laptop, this is a good choice. From a users standpoint, this is for very basic use. Wouold be great for a student. Certainly capable for using basic business suites (spreadsheets, word processing, basic visual presentations etcetera) as well as basic internet browsing. As for the portability I mentioned, it is thin and lightweight. Slips easily into a backpack and won't weigh you down. It has a quality feel and an attractive look. Another nice thing, it is really quite inexpensive, mso if you mare traveling or it gets lost or stolen, you not losing a $2000 souped up gaming mmachine. The processos is an Intel Celeron N4500 @ 1.1Ghz. Certainly a capable core for the thinngs I mentioned previously. It has 4 Gb of RAM. That's about the smallest and bare minimum in this day of age. One frusturating thing (and it's not a hardware fault, but rather a software {Windows, anyone?}) issueis the default "S Mode" in the Microsoft App store. This "disallows" the installation of any non-approved apps; So if you prefer any other browser (Chrome, DuckDuck Go, Firefox etc) youneed to turn off "S Mode". And in classic Microsoft fashion, they don't make it intuitive at ALL to do. As a techie guy, it took me a bit to fuigure it out. I looked MS support pages, and nothing they presented to turn it off was accurate. Again, not an HP hardware issue, but a Winows issue. In all, this is a great choice for basic, basic use.
