overall really happy with the printer. I've used all its functions and they are pretty easy to figure out. It's not the best ever photo printer but is fine for my needs. Prints everything faster than my previous all in one including photos. Only quibble is the two paper trays. Have to unload the full size one to use the 4x6 for photo paper. Should be an easy way to select like on all the other printers I've had. There were other comments about a loud whine but I haven't experienced it. It does clack loudly but briefly when it starts to print. Wouldn't work for a room where someone was trying to sleep.

After purchasing cheap printers and dealing with them breaking often, I decided to make the purchase of a higher quality printer. It's been over 6 months and it's the best decision I've made on a printer purchase. Very easy setup. Fast, quiet, and reliable. The wireless feature is great for printing items from my iMac, iPhone, or even a school chrome book.

I got this printer and I love it, It is so easy to use and prints really fast. It takes up little space on my desk. Great Printer and great features.

This printer was easy to set up and works as advertised. The print quality is good. Works with iPhone. Send/receive fax works nicely. Scans and copies too.

This printer does everything. I really like the print as well as the fax and scanner. The wireless is a plus, it always works. Great product for the money.

My previous HP Photosmart was 5 years old and wouldn't print consistently without cleaning the heads every time I used it, so decided to upgrade. Pros: wireless - I can connect everything, including my phone and print from it. Speed - fast for both black and white and color. Clean - all of the things I've printed were clean, no smudges, accurate, and exactly what I was expecting. Setup was fairly quick, a few items to actually read the manual for, but overall, very nice. The only con I have is that it is slightly bigger than other printers I looked at.

I bought a new iPad and iMac so I need a wireless printer. It is so efficient, like it has it's own brain. It was easy to set-up. Performs like a professional printer. Excellent copies, holds a good amount of paper. I like the fact that I can print just black and white copies, and use color only when necessary.

This is a great printer, (and it doesn't hurt I got on sale for a great price) I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the printer tends to freeze every once in a while whenever I attempt to scan a document on the flatbed scanner. I literally have to unplug the printer, wait 10 seconds and then re-plug it to clear the system. Aside from that, the printer is great, I can print pictures directly from my iphone or ipad, and MacBook Air. The set up was very easy. The prints (both pictures and documents) are clear and very high quality. One of the best printers Ive owned!!!

Had to replace my old HP printer that let me down after many years of use. It was the noisiest printer I have ever used. I guess the gears finally froze up after grinding so much. I am impressed with the multiple functions of my new 7640. Got this model because of the all-in-one features, along with the fact that it has to fit in a relatively limited space in a cabinet where depth and height were at issue. This 7640 came closest to replicating my old HP 5520 dimensions. The 7640 is relatively quiet, especially when I found out how to turn off the "happy note" chime it can play after each use. Only two negatives so far. First is the pop out paper holder. Great feature however when I forget to close it, I often hit it with my head when I stand up from the cabinet chair (it can be locked in unextended mode if I choose to). Secondly, I am not a big fan of the color ink being in a single cartridge. I much prefer three separate color ink tanks but can live with the single as I generally print in black only. By the way, BestBuy price matched THEIR OWN online price which was about $50 cheaper than their in-store price. I found the discrepancy a little unfair for potential buyers who may fail to do or are unaware of doing online research beforehand.

The printer is nice and small. Easy to use. Ii takes longer than I expected to print out a page but the printing is great. Perfect for me.

This printer is great very easy setup process right out of the box. I just pluged it a put the disk in my computer and followed the steps and it was done. My favorite part of this printer is that I can easy print from my phone without having to set it up just make sure your on the same wifi as your printer and it prints anything you want right from your phone.

The printer is really quite good. Easy to connect, and set up wirelessly. All our computers and phones and iPads and tablets easily connected and printed on the first attempt. This was not true of our previous HP wireless printer. Print quality is excellent for documents. Good for photos, not great. Maybe it's my paper. My only negative for it is actually with the HP software. It's keeps locking up my laptop. Otherwise awesome!

This is a very good printer for the price. The functions are easy to use and setup was very easy. The quality of the printer is very good.

Love the touch screen menu display. This printer was easy to setup and includes a set up CD or you can download the software from HP, this is all covered in the "Start Here" guide in the box. The printer communicates via my network with HP to take advantage of the HP Instant Ink program, also my printing needs are minimal so it's plenty fast enough for my home use and the print quality is excellent! The printer will go into standby mode or will turn itself off when these options are selected. I would definitely buy this printer again!

I am happy with this product. I bought it by accident thinking it was color but am super happy that I am saving ink now and only print color when needed on my older printer. It took a little time to set up with Windows 10 since the disk is outdated now but HP website is very helpful these days and can detect your printer and find the driver you need right away. I can print from all of my devices now and love it!!

For the price, you can not beat a nice compact all in one printer that allows one to also scan and fax. Easy to set up and easy to print from off site places, such as your local coffee shop. Compatible with MAC devices. Easy to print for all devices, MAC book, iPhone, and iPad.

We purchased this printer after our previous printer started having issues feeding paper properly. Our previous HP printer was a workhorse, such so that we couldn't remember when we purchased it. Our printers get a lot of use, especially from our college grad student who prints a lot of class documents and study guides. Set up was very easy. After it was powered up, printer immediately found our wireless network. Put in or secure passcode and we were up in running in minutes. It is already getting a lot of use. Very satisfied.
