I needed ink for my old printer and it was so expensive that I decided to buy a new printer instead. Great decision. This is a superior product. I love that is completely wireless and prints using bluetooth. It allows me to have it set up without having the eye sore of wires running everywhere, etc. I have it in the closet a couple rooms away. The print quality is wonderful as well. It does it all, print, fax, scan, copy... Just great for my needs.

I've been using HP printers for many years. I've always been satisfied with their performance. When my current printer needed routine maintenance (more ink & both printer heads), which cost more then a new printer, I decided it was time to upgrade. I purchased the HP - OfficeJet Pro 8710 since it was the closest model to my existing printer. Set up was easy and it has not disappointed. I do not have any negatives to report, just observations on the future direction of HP and other company's use of cloud based applications. All of which I try to avoid. I'm speaking of the 'endless ink' promotions and the aggressive promotion and/or requirement to use cloud based applications. I am not a fan of having my printer communicate with HP to monitor my usage, mandatory purchase of HP ink cartridges, and/or other 'Big Brother' tactics. But this is not limited to just HP, it's the wave of the future. Other than this personal objection to an invasion to my privacy, I'm happy with my purchase.

This is my second HP printer. I have been using it for about a month or so. I had the last HP Officejet Pro for about 3 years. I really love how easy it was to install this printer! I had it up and running in no time. I also find the instant ink program by HP beneficial for my needs. I use this printer for homeschooling my 2 children and we print fairly often. We print from a Mac, PC, iPhones and iPads. It prints fast, and the image quality is great. The only negative thing and my reason for 4 stars is that I have to reconnect the printer to my WIFI before each printing session. I did not have to do that with my last HP. I have some more troubleshooting to do. This is annoying, but it may be fixable.

This printer was so easy to set up. The print quality is excellent. Prints documents quickly, too. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the screen is too small which makes it difficult to enter the number of copies wanted or fax numbers.

I have had this printer for a year now. It is very reliable and easy to change the cartridges. No issues at all. The only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is due to size only. Wish it were smaller, but it does everything I need.

Previously, I had a Canon MX 942. That printer had trouble maintaining wifi connection. It frequently needed to be restarted and settings restored. This printer has no such problems. It was easy to set up and it just works. Images are clear, printing is fast. Scanning is simple. We Joines HP Instantink and so far, we have no complaints. It is a big printer. Some may have an issue with its size. To my family, the most important thing is reliability and that the product works when you need it. So far, this printer is able To do that.

Easy setup and a breeze to use. It’s bigger than I had hoped for physically, but really does a nice job with every job and scan I’ve thrown at it. I’d buy again

Unlike the Epson printer we had before this one, the HP All in one 8710 maintains a reliable wifi connection to the network. Our Epson kept dropping the wifi, which made it most frustrating to use. This printer will scan and print wirelessly with Mac OS X. The trick is to use the built in scanning app in OS X, and NOT the HP software. If you do that (and you own a Mac) you shouldn't have any trouble. The ink is costly. $100 for replacement set of cartridges. But the thing is reliable, so we can't complain. Make sure you get the printer on sale, as it has been discontinued by HP.

I've owned quite a few printers. I purchased this one based partly on the reviews. I am happy with this printer along with the toner plan. The pictures that I print look great, the regular print jobs on paper also look great. I have only had some problems on a few occassion with the paper jamming when I print double sided. It doesn't happen every time though. I also love having the capability of printing from our phones, Ipads, and wirelessly on our computers. It has the capability of zooming a print job up to 400%. It's fairly quiet when printing too.

It prints very well. Easy to set up and to use wireless. The print cartridges last much longer than my previous printer. I love using the scanner.

I buy a new HP OfficeJet for my study every 6-8 years - not because the old one didn't work (because they run forever), but just to update features. The Officejet Pro 8710 is the latest in that purchase history and, with each one, they get less expensive with more features and easier to set up and work with. Simply put, the 8710 is a terrific all-in-one printer in the HP tradition and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. BestBuy, of course, had the best price around on it, and when I went into the store to purchase after asking a few questions, I found that I was talking to an HP rep (not a regular BestBuy employee) who knew the products I was looking at inside-out, and I was able to confirm that the 8710 was the right printer for me. Great product and an equally great buying experience!

This printer is incredibly powerful and prints very quickly for the price. I got it for 70 dollars off MSRP during the back to school sale. It's absolutely excellent for printing pretty much anything and is great when coupled with the 300 page HP Instant Ink plan. The Instant Ink saves a lot of money with this printer, especially when printing high volumes. Being an engineering student and printing 20 page lab reports every week, I found that the ink plan really lives up to its value. Not only that, the print speed (24 ppm) and the auto duplexer really help with printing double sided papers really fast before class. Honestly the best part was the seamless setup on my girlfriend's Macbook, my Linux computers, and various mobile devices I have in my apartment. Definitely recommend this to any college students, especially those in career-oriented majors.

This printer is awesome. It does 2 sided to 2 sided copies and scans. It will also scan directly to Google docs which has been invaluable for my school handouts. It was also easy to setup via Google cloud print. We have a Chromebook so this simplified printing as well as document management. We have also paired this printer with HP instant ink, which takes the most painful portion of owning a printer out of the equation, in my opinion.

This is a great printer, a little too big for my home office, but can not complain since I got it on sale :) at a terrific price! The quality is perfect, instructions are easy to follow and super easy to installed. Me and my children use it daily to scan, print, and fax documents.

It runs really quietly and makes beautiful copies! It is easy to figure out the commands!

I am an artist and need reliability for my prints. I had been frustrated with my epson's (good product but ALWAYS major ink clog issues if waited too long from print to print) SO I went back to HP. THIS printer is excellent! For an INK JET it performs very high quality!! (this is about the 10th printer I have gotten in my lifetime. HP has been most reliable over the years) Very happy with this choice. The multi-functions and wireless are user friendly to set up and I am very pleased with the ink replacement system. (I used to have a larger format printer but this is working fine. I have a graphics place down the street for the large prints I need once in a while). :-)

Easy to set up, easy to use, reliable, the perfect device for the home office.

So far this has been a very solid printer/copier/fax combo. This printer came highly recommended from both personal and site reviews and it has lived up to all of the positive praise. It was extremely easy to set up and use and it prints wonderfully in both color and black and white. I am certainly no expert on print quality comparison, but to me colors are vibrant, but not overstated and the black and white prints are crisp. Having wi-fi connectivity and the ability to fax or copy documents should the need arise has already come in handy. You can copy all the way up to and including A4-sized paper. The printer is a rather large 20x12x12, not counting extra width for the paper tray extension (another 9 inches), so make sure you have enough space for it. If you are looking for a solid inkjet printer at a great price, you could do way worse than this one.

This is the 2nd HP OfficeJet Pro printer i have owned. Nothing wrong with first one, this one is just faster and a little less bulky. Great for copying,faxing,scanning, and printing. East to set up and operate. Highly recommend!

We have been through many printers and did a lot of research before making this purchase. We are very pleased with this printer so far. Great quality and ease of use...and easy to set up wireless printing. We just ordered a backup stock of ink cartridges but still have a lot left in the sample cartridges that came with it (and we do a lot of printing).
