Like in the summary, the phone is a piece of junk. I bought this phone on March 17, 2018 and I have already had to call in twice and the second time is because my phone completely glitched. Don't waste your money on this. Go with a Nokia or something.

the phone is great! but that Cricket SIM card and 40$ refill card is a joke and waste of time. It would help if the local pick up location actually activated them before handing them off. Now I am stuck with a $40 refill card? that doesn't work? could have bought this elsewhere and will look elsewhere in the future.

    Way Better Than Expected

So I am a Samsung fan and I had the S8+ that was recently stolen and I did not have insurance so I needed a quick replacement until the S9+ releases. I came across this phone on Best Buy and decided to give it a try. I am really impressed. For this to be only $229 this phone is awesome. The screen is nice and crisp and I am always turning the screen in in amazement as to how clear it is. The speaker is decent, sound quality is great. I can download themes from Huawei and the Google App store. I have not experienced any lag and both the front and back cameras take really good photos. The fingerprint scanner is quick and responsive. I am impressed with this phone for the price I expected way less in performance and screen quality. I will definitely keep this phone as a back up. I was deciding between this one and the Asus ZenFone Max Plus M1 but I am very satisfied with my choice. This one has dual SIM (or single SIM and MicroSD) capabilities. It's always a plus when a phone has a notification LED which this one does. Only things I miss is the Always On Display and double tap to wake the screen function which I am sure there are apps for that. They even give you a clear case. Beware it does not have USB type C charging but the older micro USB but on the plus side it does have fast charging capabilities Battery is really good, gets me through a whole day with juice to spare by bedtime. Also has the 3.5mm headphone jack.Well worth the $229 price in my opinion.

    Amazing Value

I should start by saying that I use a TON of phones, including the likes of the iPhone X, Google Pixel 2 XL, etc. I decided to pick up the Huawei Mate SE as a backup phone and one to kind of play with because of it's price and features. Let me tell you, this is probably the best deal on a new smartphone you're going to get right now. The display is colorful and crisp, battery life is great, and call quality is great on AT&T. For a mid-range phone the camera is pretty impressive in good lighting, though as expected it's pretty terrible in low light shots. If you're a big Android nerd and care about getting Android updates on a timely basis, this probably isn't the phone for you as it probably won't get any updates. Either way, this phone is worth every penny you pay for it and more.

Don't waste your money. Most of the time the notifications do not sound off, the screen won't show a call coming in and things open that are no where around. Day 15 of purchase is when this started...so I'm stuck now.

Lets put aside, politics and US government suggest to big carriers to not to take a phone.... This Phone rocks and i mean really for 230$ is peace of beauty.... Screen, Speed, Design you name it. I have phone only a day but do you need more to hold onto it to say good is good? Noooo. Everyone who buys this phone will be happy fellow... 230$ can't beat that. Good bay LG , HTC one plus or whatever company makes now days... Huawei is new kid on the block together with Samsung and Apple. End of Story

    Great Phone For the Price

went from samsung s7 edge to this mate se couldnt be more happy, s7 edge kept freezing and dying super quick. With huawei mate se battery lasted me a great full 21 hours of power with average to demanded use with 22 percent left camera is solid what can i say during the day its amazing, night time kinda struggles with low light but, will do for the price. Screen is plenty big, speaker is great too. Only down fall i can see with this phone is definitely the charging takes a while to charge, no fast charge available something i was use to with the s7 edge. If you are video chatting or doing something that is power consuming its gonna be like a fight to charge. final thoughts, although a couple of set backs cant complain to much for the price. great budget phone would recconmend this phone to someone who is looking to have a all around phone for a low price.

Great phone, Honor 7x with extra 1gm and 64gb

This phone is identical to the Honor 7x except it has extra gb of ram so goes from 3gb to 4gb. Also has more internal memory of 64gb vs 32gb. the phone is crisp clean and light. has great camera, fast fingerprint scanner and great battery life. The phone has no lag and has very good response. it comes with a gel case that is very nice. I would recommend getting a screen protecter, not a glass one because the screen is curved. It doesnt have usb c or wireless charging but is a great phone overall. i had no issues connecting to android auto in my car. The call quality and signal have been the same as the s8 active i was using. my favorite thing is the battery, it seems to last forever. I have had the honor 6x and this phone is definitely a upgrade.

No flagship but still a great phone

I bought this phone after researching the specs and decided to take a shot at a lesser known hardware name in cell phones. While its not a S9 or X flagship, for the price, this phone does everything you need. The fingerprint scanner is quick, the screen is nice and sharp and the camera takes above average pictures for this price range. My two complaints are, no USB C and the speaker is on the bottom and not great. If you can get past those two things, don't hesitate. Pick up this phone and you will be glad you did.

Just bought this for my daughter as an upgrade to her old Moto X, and am very pleased (so is she). Pros: -Great build quality, all aluminum -Large, clear screen -Headphone jack -Fast finger print reader -Nice dual lens camera, for the money -64gb storage, expandable also. -Fast, smooth operation -Large battery -Comes with case Cons: -No USB C -No fast charging -Probably not the best option for graphically demanding games -Limited options for screen protectors and cases, although some Honor 7X accessories work for this. -US Moto G and variants are more flexible for multiple networks (CDMA/GSM) and can do things like WiFi calling on T-Mobile (we're on Cricket, so that's not a concern for us) Other thoughts: I know that EMUI is unliked by some, but I've personally found it to be perfectly fine on both this and my Mate 10 Pro. In fact, I really like some of the added functionality, and really haven't discovered any real annoyances, from my point of view. You can instantly see and feel the downgrades from something like the Mate 10 Pro, but that's to be expected. I perused reviews for a long time before settling on this. I think the only other appealing option at this price range is the Moto G Plus, and I don't really like their styling. (I'm not counting Xiaomi, even though they have some compelling options, because they're missing some LTE bands for the US market and that rules them out for me). Overall, if you're looking for a GSM phone in the $200-250 range on a network that uses AT&T's towers, or are on T-Mobile's towers in an area with strong reception, this is well worth considering.

This phone is to good to be true. With that being said...att and Verizon have stopped using Huawei phones. I found out why and so even though I love the phone I am returning it due to a Government warning on this manufacturer. You can read for yourself online. I hope they are wrong so not taking any chances. Please don't tell me it is a conspiracy with Samsung... iPhone and LG.

Picked up this phone at Findlay, Ohio Best Buy. The phone is awsome for the price. Screen is clear and crisp and the first full day I used it i got 6 hours and 22 minutes of screen on time with it and still had 34% battery left when I went to bed. I would definitely recommend this phone to friends.
