You can find other complaints on it in these reviews, YouTube (search "insignia refrigerator making noise"), etc. I spent time with warranty repair staff and they insist this sound is normal and fridge is fine. It's not a normal sound and super annoying. But because it took longer than two weeks to figure out the problem I'm stuck with this unit, and very disappointed.

We learned this the hard way after everything thawed out in the freezer within the first 6 weeks. Temperature settings are not very good. Overall, an average quality product.
