Great microSD card for everyday use and 4k video!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Insignia 64GB microSDXC card is a perfect everyday-use memory card for most people. I have been using it in my Canon PowerShot V1 camera, and it's been perfectly stable when recording 4k video at 29.97 fps. The card's specs are not the absolute highest on the market, but great for everyday needs. the write speed is listed as V30, which means it should write a minimum of 30 MB/sec, enough for 4k video. Insignia actually lists the write speed of this card a 70 MB/sec, which is more than adequate. In addition, the "A2" on the card means it is good for use in the random read performance necessary to run apps from the card. This makes it perfect for smartphones and video game consoles like the Nintendo Switch. I haven't tested mine in a phone yet, but I'm confident it would be great. Other than that, there isn't a ton to say about this card. It works well, holds what it says it will hold, and comes with an SD card adapter for use in multiple kinds of devices and a small plastic clamshell case for portability. I recommend this card!

Perfect for my Dash Cam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this Insignia 64GB microSD card with adapter to use in my dash cam, and it has done exactly what I needed it to do. Once I installed it, I pretty much forgot about it, which is exactly what you want from a memory card. It records continuosly without any errors, skipped footage, or corrupted files and I've not had issues retrieving videos when I've needed them. The 64GB capacity provides plenty of space for my daily driving before older footage is overwritten. While I don't know know how to measure the advertised read and write speeds, transferring files to my computer has been quick and hassle free. I also like knowing that the card is built to handle heat, water, shock, humidity, magnets, and even X-rays, Since my dash cam spends every day in the a hot Florida vehicle, the extra duribility gives me piece of mind. If you are looking for a dependable microSD card for a dash cam, security camera, Go-Pro or for everyday use, this one has been a solid performer. It has been reliable from day one, and for the price, I think it's an excellent value. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one when I need additional storage.

Good all-around card
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a V30, A2, UHS-I, Class 10 card, meaning it should have a minimum sustained write speed of 30 MB/s, which it does meet (performance details below). This should be fine for Android smartphones, action cameras, drones, dash cams, Raspberry Pis, trail cameras, and the 1st generation Switch. Please note that this card will *not* work in the Switch 2. 4K video recording should be fine in most cases (like drones and GoPros), but some higher-end cameras will use higher bitrates that might exceed this card. However, 1080p HD video recording should be fine. Using the benchmarking feature of the "Disks" app on Linux, the card came in with: - Read speed of approximately 88 MB/s - Write speed of approximately 86.4 MB/s Of course, these results can vary depending on the hardware in which you use the memory card. This is a good everyday memory card for storing videos, photos, music, documents, and game saves, but if you need to record a lot of 4K 60fps videos on a high-end DSLR camera, you might need a faster card than this one. The card also comes with a full-sized SD card adapter, so you can use it as a regular SD card instead, for example if you only have a full-sized SD card slot on your device.

Value priced microSDXC memory card w/Adapter
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With all the counterfeit SD cards being sold in online marketplaces, buying from a reputable brand and seller is important, thus buying the Insignia from Best Buy becomes even more important. The Insignia 64GB microSDXC Memory Card is part of Best Buy’s house brand lineup and performs well in use cases for a V30 UHS-I class card. It does mention Read speeds up to 200 MB/s and write speeds up to 70 MB/s. My benchmarks with a UHS-I micro SDXC reader built into my laptop yielded 97.22 MB/s reads and 89.72 MB/s writes (the writes which was higher than mention in the specs). Given that it is a V30 UHS-I class card claiming a speed up to 200 MB/s seems a bit of a stretch as that is where V60 UHS-II class cards come into play. Without getting overly into the nitty gritty of SDXC card standards, this card delivers for the most part. V30 UHS-I cards are good enough for recording video at 4K resolution 24 or 30 frames per second at a standard bit rate, good for most consumer uses. What this card would not be good for is 4K 60 or 120 frames per second video or RAW burst frame photos from full frame cameras, or non-compressed video such as RAW, ProRes, BRAW, XAVC‑I. Also, if you have for example an Insta360 X5 or another 360 cameras, this card would not be suitable in that use case as that records 8K video and produces very large files. So, for basic 4k video use cases this card would suffice in most cases, also for standard PCs with UHS-I readers. If you have a MacBook with a full size SDXC UHS-II card reader the full throughput of that reader would not be utilized with this card (also the micro to full size SDXC card adapter that is only rated for UHS-I). >>> Pros >> good for most 4k 24/30 fps video >> reliable brand/vendor >> good value <<< Cons << not sure about the claim of up to 200 MB/s Read speeds as that is above the V30 UHS-I class

Affordable option and works perfect.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been purchasing quite a few games in the Nintendo store for my Switch Lite as they have been having many sites. But j ran into an issue where i could not play them due to storage issues. So i have been on the market for a micro sd card. Best Buy had this Insignia 64gb micro SD card and it was the perfect solution. The insignia micro sd card is blue, which matches my switch light. I know this seems trivial, but i still think it is a nice touch. The Insignia card is also a very affordable option. It includes the sd card adapter, which many of today's micro sd card are omitting. I just simply popped the micro sd card into my switch light and it automatically recognized it upon my next boot up. At first i felt that 64gb was not going to be enough storage, but then i realized that most of my games were only 2 to 3 gb max. This means i will still have plenty of space for future games. Overall, i highly recommend the insignia micro sd card, as it is a perfeft option for expanding storage on your devices. Especially a Nintendo Switch Light as it is working out very well for me.

Quality microSD card and reliable for transfers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microSD card with SD card adapter is very reliable. I have been using this in various devices and it has been working properly in each of them. This microSD card in its 64 GB variant works well for my vehicle dash camera, flying drone, home security cameras, and digital camera. It is a very simple plug and play microSD card. So far I have found it very reliable to record data onto it. I am then able to transfer that data over to my computer with the microSD card itself, and also with the microSD card adapter, which allows me to have a little bit more versatility and flexibility on recording and transferring information. This Insignia version of the microSD card is a little bit more budget, friendly but works just as good as a standard name brand. I have found the transfer rate of data to be adequate and everything has been recorded onto this card accurately for 1080P video footage and also 4K video footage. Overall, I would recommend this microSD card to anyone because it is reliable and does the job it sets out to do.

64GB microSDXC – Availability Uncertain
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BACKGROUND: Over the years I have owned and used numerous microSD and SDXC cards with most brands still performing well without issues. (Only one brand gave me issue with early hard failures. Oddly, it was a major name brand…) Anyway, I had intended to use this 64gb microSDXC memory card in one of my home security cameras that is placed inside of our garage. But due to this card’s maximum temperature limitations, I decided to use in one of our mobile phones. ACTUAL USE: This is replacing a 32gb microSD card in one of our Android phones. Its primary function is for adding additional photo and video storage. To that end, I was able to format and move about 25 gigs of data files over to the larger card. So far, I can access the files just fine. I will also mention the inclusion of a microSD to SD card adapter. Nice... VALUE: I own and use several Insignia branded products (HDTV’s Soundbars, Mice, Power Adapters, etc.) And although I consider this an “economy brand”, I have never experienced any major or minor issues. Overall, Insignia is a reliable brand. And can save yourself considerable money, which is always a plus, especially if you are on a budget. TEMPERATURE LIMITATION: Under Specifications, Environmental: it stated Maximum Operating Temperature: 85 degrees Fahrenheit. And Minimum Operating Temperature: -25.0 degrees Fahrenheit. I can live with the -25 degrees, but the +85 degrees is way too low to use in an outdoor security camera during the summertime months. I had submitted a question regarding the low maximum operating temperature but have not received a response. We’ll see if this gets updated, corrected, or removed. AVAILABLE? The Best Buy site for this item states in red “This item is no longer available in new condition. See similar items below”. But the actual Insignia 64g microSD card received for my review was new in the original sealed bubble package and is dated 2026. The model number (NS-MSX064BF130) on the back of the package does match up with the web site information. Just not certain why it reflects questionable available? RATING: After using for the past 4 days, I believe this Insignia 64gb microSDXC memory card earned itself a 4-Star Rating. And you can add another Star if the maximum operating temperature is actually something much higher (example: 145 degrees Fahrenheit or higher) and the Specs are updated to reflect accurate information. .

Best Buy's Private Label
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually do not have any issue with a private label trying their hand at offering something for consumers to try. That item needs to at least attempt to fill a gap or maybe fit a lower price range. For it's current list price, it is in line with some comparable 64gb micro sd cards offered on Best Buy's site. As a call out, for some reason this card is no longer being offered by Best Buy on their website. I wanted to run the typical memory benchmark tests. For reference I am using a ROG Zephyrus G16 laptop that supports UHSII, allowing for theoretical maximum transfer speeds of up to 312 MB/s but I expect reliable, sustained read/write speeds ranging between 200 MB/s to 260 MB/s. Well to my surprise, I capped out at a max of 95.6 MB/s to 92.4 MB/s Read/Write speeds via Crystal Disk Mark benchmarking tests. I've attached photos of those results in my review. Now for the the user that expects the high end of these speeds, I am thinking 4k and fast FPS shooting modes for video and photography.. There might be more faster cards that you would utilize for professional work. This card is aimed more towards the cell phone or gaming device user that needs to store phone videos, photos, games.

Solid SD card for the job
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had some time to use the Insignia 64GB Micro SD card. I’m currently using it with my DJI Osmo Pocket. It been pretty solid during use. I like to film in 4k 30/60 depending on how long the clips are. I can get about 1:30 hours of footage and it’s great for smaller events and quick run and gun. Out of the box it was easy to get up and running. It does come with a standard size SD card adapter, so you are able to transfer easier to computers with only the standard size slot. Also you as you have the adapter you use it older devices as well that utilizes the standard SD card size. Which is great since I still have an older Canon DSLR that it would work perfectly for. Transfer speeds are pretty fast and makes for a quick workflow when transferring from SD card to your computer. Absolutely needed for the bigger files sizes I have to transfer at times. Definitely a solid micro SD card that insignia has made. It will be great for any job you give it whether it is in a camera, a video game console, or in a 3D Printer

Good all-around memory card
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia Micro SDXC Memory card is a general purpose storage solution that is good value as well. It checks all the right boxes in terms of specs: 64 GB of storage space which is pretty decent for a wide range of use cases, and in terms of performance: UHS-I, Class 10 speed class (and U3/V30). A SD card adapter is also included for convenience. I have been on the lookout for a memory card for my drone that I have been using quite extensively recently. And for that purpose this particular Micro SDXC card is a good fit. Since it's temperature, water, shock, and humidity proof, it fits quite nicely in my outdoor drone usage. Since it's not rated for high-endurance and I don't see any specifics regarding out continuous outdoor usage, I wouldn't suggest using it for outdoor cameras or even car dashcams unless getting some certainly from the manufacturer. But for my occasional use case I feel quite confident, as it's more time-limited exposure, and I'm definitely not flying my drone when it's raining/snowing. And so far, with my usage for last one week, it worked perfectly. As for the storage limit, for me 64 GB is a nice balance - it's enough to capture 4k videos for a few sessions, and compels me to get the videos out and exported to my computer instead of procrastinating. I also have a backup card just in case, but lately I'm just using this one almost entirely on its own. As for performance, it's rated for 200 MB/s read and 70 MB/s write - which is mediocre but adequate, especially for my use case. Of course faster feels better, however it's not a major bottleneck for me. All in all, the Insignia 64 GB Micro SDXC card is a decent general purpose storage card and works pretty well for a good value.

New life for my aging 3DS.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Name brands vs Store brands, big names, vs budget brands etc. Best Buy's Insignia brand is generally a budget brand that you can tell is a budget brand. The advertised speeds for this card are up to 200MB/s read, and up to 70MB/s write speeds. It's not going to sustain these speeds, but it looks like yea, it reaches those maximums for short bursts, good enough for cameras, or something like a raspberry pi. Like any other Micro SD card, I would expect it to be the most reliable storage media, so make sure to backup your pictures/data on a regular basis. Myself, I'm using it to replace the 32GB SD card I was using in my 3DS that has started to have corrupted sectors. (the card is like almost as old as the 3DS itself, so not entirely surprised lol) It's working just fine for me there. Loading times for games installed on the SD load just the same as they did before. If they are slower or faster, it's not by any meaningfully measurable amount. I think the best thing I can say here, is that it's a working product that performs as I expected. The included micro SD to SD adapter and hard case are nice to haves you dont always get when you pickup SD cards. With how the tech market has been going I think a lot of peopel will be looking at brands like insignia so they can keep living their lives as best they can despite costs going up everywhere, knowing that these work just as good as that shiney name brand option hanging 3 hooks over from it is a bit of peace of mind. I can't prove it, but I'm sure that one of those name brands is behind the manufacturing of these anyway, worse case is they have a shorter number of write cycles compared to the big-name brands, but unless you are completely filling and erasing it incredibly often I doubt you would really notice.

Fantastic memory card!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia 64gb microSDXC Memory card is a fantastic memory card that works great. The sdxc memory card comes with both an adapter and a storage case making it easy to travel with. The memory card can be used both as a micro sdxc card or you can put inside the included adapter to make it a full-sized memory card. It has a capacity of 64gb has a Ultra High speed class U3, Video speed class V30, and C10 which makes this a great option for drones, dashcams, video cameras etc. The memory card has transfer speeds up to 200 MB/s and has write speeds up to 70MB/s. I tried out the memory card in my drone and recorded footage in 4K. After that I inserted it into my MacBook Pro and transferred the footage over. The transfer speeds I was getting was around 200mb/s which is exactly as advertised. I was very impressed with the footage, as recorded perfectly. Overall, the Insignia 64gb microSDXCD memory card is a great choice for anyone looking for a memory card. The transfer speeds where consistent at 200mb/s. The memory card adapter and storage case are great addition. I would highly recommend this memory card.

Gets the job done
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This micro SD card works great. It’s exactly what I would expect from a memory card. I find that it doesn’t lag when taking pictures using a camera. It doesn’t do that with video either. Video recording is smooth with this. Playback is good as well. Using it with a drone as well works flawlessly. I record on 4k120p as well and this handles that as well. I used this with a game console as well and it’s able to handle games on it just fine. Using this to transfer data around from one PC to another works great as well. There wasn’t really any slow downs or bottle necks. I found that from practical testing, it was yielding the speeds that I expected. The general build quality of it doesn’t differ much from other brands. It feels durable and it does come with a case as well. I’m sure this can survive a drop or even some water but I wouldn’t test those limits unless it gets to it naturally. Overall, it’s a decent micro sd card and it should serve any sort of daily purposes. I still wouldn’t fully expect it to last as long as major brands but it should last a long time.

Solid memory card, perfect for video capture
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to have another card for my GoPro and so far it's been great. The camera has no issues recording video to it and reading from it. Read/write speeds are perfect for content creation with a video camera, or drone where you are recording large volumes of data. I've always liked the Insignia brand and have had good experiences with the brand overall. Comes with a case and performs just as good on the camera as the other brands that I have in my bag. Read speeds definitely make a difference when you are dealing with files that are several GB and the 200 MB/s speed makes transferring files from the camera faster and smoother. So far it seems with the correct reader, you can get better performance than a typical 100 MB/s card for sure, and I'd recommend it if you have one of those slower cards. In all, I would recommend getting one of these if you need additional memory for your GoPRO or Insta360, or drone camera video based on my experience it performs just as good as other cards that I have.

Just what you expect
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Insignia 64GB microSDXC UHS I Memory Card in my drone, and it has performed far better than I expected for a budget friendly option. The biggest test for any card in a drone is whether it can keep up with 4K video recording, and this one handles it without a single hiccup. No stuttering, no dropped frames, and no buffering issues during long flights. Even when capturing fast moving shots or high detail scenery, the card keeps up consistently. File transfers are smooth and reliable as well. Moving large 4K clips to my computer is quick enough for everyday use, and I haven’t run into any corrupted files or read/write errors. The card also stays cool, even after extended recording sessions, which gives me confidence in its long term durability. While it’s not marketed as a high end U3 or V30 card, it still performs at a level that makes it perfectly suitable for drones, action cameras, and other devices that demand steady performance. For the price, the value is excellent. If you need a dependable card for 4K recording without spending a premium, this Insignia option is a solid choice.

Exactly as advertised
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a lot to say about this, if you're in the market for a 64GB SDXC card this will do. It's small, quick, works as it should when inserted into a device and formatted appropriately. Appears to be of high quality. Best Buy is known for using major name brands to manufacture their in-house Insignia branded micro SDXC cards so you should be in good shape buying one of these, though it's possible that it is a lower binned part than the name brand counterpart. In doing testing with the card I was able to transfer at the advertised speeds 220MBps down/74MBps up ( advertised as 200MBps down, 70MBps up) so it does fall in line with expected performance. It's not a terribly large memory card but they do carry it in other sizes if you need it. Works in a pinch without being as expensive as some of the higher end cards from the name brands, though bear in mind this is not an SDExpress card so it will not work in devices like the Switch2. All in all it's a good card, gets the job done and I recommend it.

Average, economical MicroSD card
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just your typical Micro SDXC card. Comes in the standard plastic storage case along with a full size SD adapter. I ran some benchmarks on this 64gb micro SDXC card in a couple devices, it claims read speeds up to 200/MB/s, but I never saw that. I saw speeds faster than a similar card rated to 100/MB/s but not double. In reality though, I used this Insignia SDXC memory card in a phone and an action camera. Even at higher speeds and resolutions on the camera I didn’t see any signs of frame drops or other anomalies to indicate it wasn’t capable of keeping up with 4k video recording. On paper it might be a little optimistic with the read speeds, but in reality it works just fine as expected and at a reasonable price. I have no reason to doubt the V30 A2 ratings. I haven't had any errors or failure to read yet, it's just worked as needed. Provided the card continues to work for a reasonable time, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more. Other Insignia branded products I've purchased in the past have worked well for me and held up.

It's not overly fast; the best read speeds I got were around 185 MB per second, while the best write speeds were somewhere between 30 and 45 MB per second, depending on the file type and size, and using my USB 3.0 SD card reader on a Ryzen 7 7800X3D-based computer. It was dependable though, even surviving my kid leaving his Nintendo Switch in the back of my car on a hot summer day with temperatures in the car likely exceeding 130 degrees fahrenheit. To set this up, you'll pop it into the device you wish to use it with. If you're using it with a device that uses full-sized SD cards, you'll need the adapter it comes with. Almost every device has a built-in formatting tool, and everything I threw this card at (Eufy cameras, Nintendo Switch, GoPro cameras, Android Phones, Raspberry Pi-type systems, and even a SD to SATA adapter) just worked with this card. My only real problem with it is the relatively atrocious write speeds I got. I'm not sure if it was card reader I was using or if it was the card itself, but the only files that seemed to write at faster than 35 MBPS were disc image files. Not that it was a huge problem, but installing different distros of Linux on an RPi took longer than I cared for it to. Still, considering what storage of all kinds currently costs at this time, the Insignia 64GB Micro SDXC card is a pretty good value overall as long as you don't need something to record high bitrate 4K video onto.
