This is what we like to see in gaming a lot of cores

I think this processer is slept on a bit because of similar processors that came out alongside it, however the great benefit to this one is the integrated graphics. Its a great work and multi task machine processer and fit my price range (especially given market conditions).

I paired it with b460 motherboard and 16gb ram, it runs fast and stable. I use stock fan and integrated gpu 630. It keeps everything smooth. I build this computer only for document processing. Good price for this cpu when I got it on sale.

this CPU is pretty solid for what I use it for, I have not seen any bottlenecking from this. at the time of purchase it was just a good value CPU. If you have a bit more money the 10700k is the optimal choice, as at the time it was the best performing to price ratio I could see at the time. but that cpu would be more relevant for a computer doing heavy processing work, as the 10400 is suitable for general use and gaming. I chose this CPU over AMD's solution at the time due to their terrible availability and overpricing of current and previous gen's models. Once their CPU inventory and prices are more stable, their series may be the better choice. onto the 10400, i am able to play games like dead by daylight, stream, and websurf without issue. the cpu is not bottlenecking the system. I would advise a aftermarket cooling solution as the fan shipped with this one, although it works, does run more hot than it should. something like a hyper 2i2 would be pretty budget friendly and would work loads better than the stock fan. overall the cpu has been in the system for about 3 months now and its working like a champ, I would recommend this cpu for budget computer builds or computers that will not see heavy processing workloads.

I bought this for a friend who wanted a custom-built Desktop. Very good value for the money. Works super-fast. You will not regret buying it. Trust me.

I was about to get a Core i3 for a cheap PC build when the i3 sold out. This was on sale, so an already good deal became an even better deal. Easy to install and includes cooling solution. Good value!

This processor is considerably faster than the one it replaced, but the most important part of the transaction was the price. It came in nearly $50 less than that familiar online vendor and the store is just a five-minute drive from where I sit. It took more time to uninstall the old processor and replace it with this new one than it did to go get it at the store. Both performance and price were nice enhancements. Get a better processor and your computer experiences are enhanced. Check out the prices at Best Buy before you make a purchase.

Got this on sale before Christmas just to have something before I get an 11th gen i7 or i9 but I gotta say, this one has a lot of power for an inexpensive CPU. People on YouTube sure do give it hell but it works great for me. If I didn't have that need to build better, it would absolutely do well with no complaints. Runs all the modern games very smoothly with an RTX3070 FE at 1080p. I'm coming from a Core 2 Duo or whatever the hell it was, so that might have pretty big effect on my opinion. Anyhoo. It's great!

Great value processor for gaming or for office use, integrated graphics worked like a charm, and low power consumption for 6 cores and 12 threads of hyper threading.

I managed to grab the last one on the shelf. Works great, low price. I paired with a liquid cooler because why not. Now runs under 50c and gets the job done for cheap.

works as expected. has more power than I need for gaming. You can't overclock it, but I knew this before I bought it. if you need to overclock than get the K version.

Great price and great performance this is my first 10th gen cpu and I love it. I dont have a gpu yet bit this cpu alone can play modern games in 30fps so pretty amazing.

Why do you need to spend more money when you have this excellent processor for an amazing price, good for general work not for gaming or 3D design.

Great processor for the price. I upgraded from a 5th gen I5 and still can’t believe how much faster it is. I’m also loving the 12 threads.

God cpu for the price. Works good no issues at all and easy installation.

Perfect mainstream CPU for me. I'll upgrade to a new CPU eventually, but for now, this 10400 does all I need it to. Was 164 when I bought it. Prob lower now. And, with a tower cooler, it stays cool in the low-mid 20's at idle, and about 40-45 while gaming (winter time).

The processor is a very good budget processor and works well with my computer. This one has 6 cores and integrated graphics as well.

As usual one of the better under $200 processors for gaming you could get. As long as the price stays around $150 you're in good shape.

Solid CPU for the price, especially considering it also has integrated graphics in case you can't find a GPU right now.
