Works as advertised - wireless HMDI

Needed a wireless HDMI solution as my 25 ft HDMI cable in the wall went bad. This works as advertised and I am not sure anyone can tell the difference between the wired picture before and the wireless picture now. Very easy to install. It takes about 5 seconds for the receiver and transmitter to communicate and establish a connection when first turned on but after that, it is like you are wired. I am hooked up to a Pioneer plasma TV, ATT Uverse cable box, and Yamaha receiver.

We used this for our TV outside. Easy to set up and the signal works well from a distance of about 15 feet. There is a slight delay when changing channels, etc., but overall it works as advertised.

Avoid long HDMI cords or more cable boxes

I needed to connect my HD/DVR cable box to a new HD tv located in an adjoing room 30 feet away where I have exercise equipment. I did not want 30ft HDMI cable running on the floor. I bought the IOGear and it works fablously except for one annoying problem. I have to pull the receiver power cord to reset the system every time I turn the work out room tv on. The reason this is required according to tech support at IOGear is that the cable box uses a format of 480i which is lower than the minimum of 480p. The tech said some older cable box equipment is not real compatible. He suggested trying to set the cable box to limit the format to 480p or higher or change the box out for newer equipment. I haven't tried calling the cable company yet, but will soon. The reset annoyance is way overcome by how well this system works.

I have owned at least three Receiver/Transmitters for my backyard TV's. The IO Gear is without a doubt the best performer. The other systems were plagued with interference. The Io Gear's picture is crystal clear and there is no interference. I highly recommend this unit.

I have a bad grounding issue in my house which destroys my TV. I needed a wireless TV signal. This one does not have any detectable lag and the screen is steady.

We needed to get our cable signal to the TV but also didn't want to have to run 25' of wire from cable box to TV. Our TV is located over a fireplace. We didn't want to have cable box sitting below or around our fireplace. So the wireless transmitter was our fix. Two problems I have with the system. 1- There is a delay in getting the sound to play. Not that it is off from the speaking people. When you first turn on or are watching DVR when it first starts there is a 2-3 sec delay. So you always need to press play before you want to hear the sound. 2- When first coming on it sometimes loses signal and has to reconnect. Wish it was 4K.

i go through a floor and about 20' and it dropps out all the time. For the amount of time that I have messed with it, I could have just ran a cable. Not worth the $$. It is worth maybe $50

One of the nice folks at Best Buy put me onto this product after I explained that I wanted to be able to watch tv on a second set that was not connected to cable. The only issue is that this unit is not controllable remotely. HOWEVER, if you have Xfinity cable you can download a remote function onto your smartphone or tablet which gets the job done nicely. I'm happy with this setup and especially that I won't have to rent another cable box.

This product does what I needed — allows me to get cable wires out of my living room by moving things to the basement and sending HDMI signals wirelessly through the floor of a 91-year-old house. I notice no lagtime other than being a bit slow to fire up. The only issue I have is sometimes when everything starts there is no audio, only video. I then have to restart the transmitter (but not my TV or cable box), which is a bit of a pain.

Was going to buy another but this was recommended by salesman. It works fantastically and as expected. Outside tv with no new cable box cost! Very Occasional interference 'pop' in sound but I'm running it through one interior plus one exterior wall.
