This was a graduation gift for a young man heading off to college. Chose this one for its sound quality, portability, and water resistance. Don't know how useful the charging port will be, but it can't hurt, I suppose. The graduate reports that it sounds great and is easy to set up and use.

While it's really compact, the bass response is better than you'd think! Pretty impressive for its size anyway. The waterproof part will really be nice at the pool. For the dollar I'd say this is your best bet for a Bluetooth speaker. Anything that sounds good is never really cheap. Seems very durable as well!

This is a very powerful speaker and lives up to its high rating. It's a tad heavy for easy carrying around (e.g., compared to the AllTec Mini) but the sound quality is really superior and it is compact and easy to use.

Waterproof, sandproof, lifeproof!I've taken this everywhere! It even makes yard work tolerable! This is a small speaker with BIG sound! Just enough volume for me, but not my neighbors. Works great with Pandora, I heart radio and Amazon Music. Use this thing anywhere. Best purchase I've made in a while!

The battery life is as advertised 20hr. Sound is clear with good base. I have used it in home, out in the park, beach and pool. It truly is great for pool side use. It truly is waterproof. What else can I say you will not get a better product with all of the features of this speaker. JBL is outstanding quality.

Bought two of these as gifts for people this past Christmas, and i have to say that they sound good and have some punch to them. The one person i bought this for, cleans cars and is always using water. Since this speaker is waterproof, i thought it would be a good choice. This is a good mid-range speaker.

The sound from this product is great!! It is water resistant so we don't have to worry if it gets wet.

I've been using this for a year on the boat, in the garden, in the classroom, on the playground and around the house. I don't know how many times it's been dropped on had water splashed on it and it still works like new! We link 3 together and have surround sound for outdoor parties.

I bought this for my husband as an anniversary gift as he has been wanting one. This speaker is awesome and plays super loud. He uses it for everyday use and you can hear it from far away. To top it off... he can connect it with our kids JBL speakers and become synced. Love JBL products.

I waited for this speaker for a while. The best of everything: waterproof, great battery life, jbl connect (I connected my flip3) and great sound quality. I have reviewed several speakers, Bose , beats , UE and I love the Bose mini sound in low volume environments this is a great outdoor/indoor louder speaker

Absolutely love the JBL speaker. The sound is very clear and loud. It was easy to connect to my phone.

Small enough to be portable. Loud enough to crank some Van Halen. Bluetooth connects nicely to all my devices. Music is clear with some good bass.

I work construction. The sound carries great, sometimes too load though. Has no distortion that I have noticed. Battery life is great it runs all day long. Best features are being able to charge your phone and it being waterproof. I have not tried the linked speaker yet so I can not comment on that.

I’ve had many Bluetooth speakers. This one hands down is the best. For over a year now it’s been my sidekick for kayaking, camping trips, pool days, and everyday listening. Still great battery life, sound quality is amazing, and it’s definitely water proof. You won’t regret it..

This wireless bluetooth speaker was super easy to pair to my phone, ipad, wife's phone and computer. The sound is fantastic, battery last for a long time. We had a backyard party and this little guy provided music all afternoon and way into the evening for us.

So far battery is pretty great, sound is plenty loud for a speaker you can carry around with impressive lows. Not gonna be bumping or anything but like I said impressive working speaker, love it can charge my phone and work with my phone, pairing is cool option too.

I bought this as a present for young man who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. I was looking for a portable speaker with a good battery life, that was water resistant, and not too bulky. And, oh yeah, great sound. The JBL Charge 3 delivered on all points.

This speaker has a lot of really good features which all work very well. I was deciding between this and the Bose color cube and decided to keep both of them. However this JBL Charge 3 speaker has the best sound quality and is the best overall value. One of the most surprising features that I didn't know it had is the speakerphone. Excellent quality on a Conference call instead of your iPhone. The built-in microphone is very good at picking up my voice and the callers can hear me well. I use it for business phone calls to bring to Customers sites. The sound is rich and clear at all volumes when listening to music or speech. The only slightly negative things that I can say about this is the weight and size but it's worth the trouble of bringing it along. I also bought a carry case accessory for traveling. I plan to buy another one to use the iPhone app to make a stereo pair which is a feature that not many others have. My kids are very jealous and I've got a feeling I'll be buying more of these as Birthdays and Christmas coming along.
