Great quality and sound. I submerged it in water several times and it continues to sound as good as the first time I used it (over a year ago). This charges your phone quickly, but drains the battery in the speaker just as fast. Not a big enough con to take a star off in my opinion. This portable speaker provides the best combination of performance and price that I've been able to find.

Great bass, great souns, water resistant, durability and high sound quality

I bought this on sale for $99 during the Christmas season. I have it on a shelf in my bathroom. I bought it for my wife who likes to listen to music while showering, doing her hair, or hanging clothes in the closet. I charged it a couple of weeks ago and both of use it for about 15-20 minutes a day. It's still has at least 75% charge. The default volume was already plenty loud with the bluetooth connected device at 50-75% input volume. Bass is fairly deep and responsive. I am very satisfied with the overall audio quality. It's perfect if you like to take long hot showers because it's waterproof. So the steam shouldn't be an issue. I thought about putting a shelf in the shower to make it more accessible, but found there's no real need to do so.

Portable, great volume, great bass, especially considering the size. Definitely waterproof. Product was used at beach. It was dipped in the ocean several times and still came out with no issues. Long battery life.

I wanted something to use with my iPad to listen to blogs in the large room where I work. This fit the bill nicely. I can play it as loud as I like and the sound is clear and free of strain. I also like that I can stream music to it from my phone or iPad in my car. It's a decent substitute for the expensive car stereo setup that I just can't justify. I tried out the Bose Soundlink 3, but it wouldn't connect to my TV. I like playing the TV to the JVC while I use my treadmill so the sound isn't drowned out by the noise of the treadmill (I can put the JVC right next to the treadmill). Actually, I'm glad it worked out that way. I like the sound of the JVC at least as much as the Bose, and at half the price I regard it as a great value.

Having owned many different bluetooth speakers, I was weary of purchasing this one, as most don't last very long or had lackluster sounds. However, I had heard good things in passing about this item, and I've used JBL for years in the music and automotive world. Sure enough, the sound from this speaker was amazing quality. The range of sound is very rich, with excellent volume, and the bass it produces makes people think there's a full sound system in the area. Battery life is also a lot longer than I expected. And the fact that it is water and dust proof means we bring this on the boat and to the beach or lake regularly. I definitely am happy with this product and am debating buying another or the next step up soon.

This is a great sounding, tough, very portable speaker with good battery life. I've used it a lot, and have had no issues. It connects easily and quickly, has great sound quality, and it stands up to my abuse. I left it outside one night in heavy dew by mistake. No issues and continues to perform well. I love it.

The first was a gift for my dad on Christmas and he LOVES it. It has great sound and it gets loud which is nice cause his hearing isn't the best, it's easy to carry around and the subwoofers on the sides have some really nice bass. It does well at lower volumes, when he isn't home and doesn't have it with him, I use it to play music while I fall asleep. Seems to hold it's charge very well and he hasn't run it down yet. Seems like a better deal for the price as compared to UE, Bose, and Beats, the only ones I've found that could contest are Sony's and even their bass isn't as good because they're lacking in actually subs. Definitely one of my favorite things I've gotten hear and will be buying more for sure.

I love my JBL Charge 3! After watching several Jim's Review Room videos on sound quality tests on several brands of bluetooth speakers, I decided to buy this JBL Charge 3. Even through the YouTube videos, it was apparent to me that this speaker had the best bass in the $150 range class. I received my speaker in the mail this morning around 10am, and as of this writing it is 8:34PM, this speaker is still going at about 50% volume. This speaker packs a lot of punch, definitely gives you more bass than a Beats Pill+ or Ultimate Ears Boom2. This is the second item I have purchased that has outperformed expensive big brand names like Beats and Bose. This speaker deserves its 5-star rating from me. My only complaint on this purchase was the month-long shipping. As an Elite Plus member, Best Buy doesn't always honor its two-day shipping through UPS, USPS or FedEx air shipping services. Instead Best Buy opts to use the ground or parcel shipping method. That's my only complaint of this order, other than that, GO OUT AND BUY THE JBL CHARGE 3!

Musicians and audio professionals have long trusted JBL to meet their needs for live music amplification, and JBL's jump to the consumer audio scene has been a welcome one. The JBL Charge 3 is the best sounding Charge yet. The highs are clear, mids punchy, and sound is balanced. I have long given up on getting satisfying bass response from any portable bluetooth speaker, but the JBL charge 3 impressed me in this area, delivering audible, balanced bass that I sounded and felt good to me, particularly when well placed and the sound is allowed to fill a small to medium room. Good marks, I recommend it. Great battery life, easy to connect, and waterproof to boot!

This small, portable speaker has a really Big sound to it. The vocals are very clear and the Bass is amazing without that muddy sound to it. I don’t really see myself dunking it into water but it is waterproof so I guess no worries if you’re cooking out and the speaker gets caught out in the rain. One of the other features that I love is the connect+ which actually allowed me to connect to my Harmon Kardon Omni 4. Together these two speakers sound amazing. I definitely want to pick up another Charge 3 since the battery life is mind blowing plus it can be used as a power bank for a phone charge. Great job JBL!!!

I got this speaker as an upgrade from the 808 thump that I originally got to just test the waters with. I never dreamed I'd use it as much as i do. From streaming music on my patio while I grill out to podcasts I'm listening to inside, this speaker is great. The sound quality is fantastic. I stream mostly classic country music and 80's rock outside on my patio. At half volume I get crystal clean sound that sounds great as much as 20 feet away outdoors. It will get a little distortion at full volume but i can't see a reason to run it that loud. Bass is full and has good tone for the kind of music i listen to. Battery life is great also. I haven't actually kept an exact log of hours played on a charge but i used it quite a bit on and off for over 2 weeks before i decided to charge it and it was only down to 2 bars out of 5. Speaker phone function is ok. Have only used it twice when someone called in while i was listening to music. But it seemed to work fine and went back to my music on it's own after the call was over. I have not used it to charge my phone with yet so i can't comment on that. But i dont know why that could cause any issues other than it obviously using up some of the speakers battery life. I got mine on sale labor day weekend, but if I had known then what i know now after using it, i wouldn't have hesitated to pay full price for it.

I bought the Bose minis sound link first. I liked that speaker a lot. I wanted something to bring by the pool and bring with while camping by the lake. This speaker is awesome. Great sound and loud for a speaker this size. I brought it by the pool outside and it was plenty loud enough for all of us to enjoy. The battery life is amazing. I haven't submerged it but did get it wet and it worked fine. I would highly recommend this speaker not just because it's waterproof but because it sounds amazing!

I've been running this speaker on job sites for nearly two years. The clarity is still very good. It has enough low end that it does not sound flat. It is surprisingly loud enough to be heard over most construction noise. The bluetooth range is exceptional, somewhere around 100 feet. A coworker liked mine so much that he went out and picked one up for himself. Linking the two together is easy and sounds even better. They can be set up in stereo or mono. The battery usually lasts about two full eight hour days at near full volume. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Sounds really good. Great bass. Easy Bluetooth connect to iPhone. Seems to be very durable. Battery lasts a long time between charges. Just what I was looking for.

I was shopping around for a portable speaker for my boyfriend for a stocking stuffer for Christmas & a couple of employees helped tremendously when choosing which one & comparing all the different brands. I am super happy they recommended this one because it is perfect! The sound quality is great, Love the bass & the fact that it is water proof makes it great for taking outdoors. It fills my 2 story house with sound & holds a good charge. Thanks for the awesome recommendation & help at the Salinas, CA store! This is why I am so loyal to Best Buy. Purchased this for my 15 year old son for his birthday. His friend had one and really liked it. Good sound, rich bass. Not as clear mid and high as Bose, but waterproof, which was desirable for outdoor use. Got it in blue to be a little different.

Fantastic portable Bluetooth speaker. Amazing sound, great bass. Was surprised to see a non-Bose product perform so well at this price point. Love the waterproof feature as I use it by my pool all the time. Just go buy it now! Very satisfied.
