I've had this refrigerator about 6 weeks. I haven't even taken the exterior plastic protective covering off as I am painting soon. It is spacious for a counter depth plus it runs quiet and is super cold.

Our only real complaint is that there are no extra slots to adjust the height of the shelves, and there are only four shelves on the door. Our previous refrigerator had six door shelves plus a soda can rack. This one has a wine bottle rack but it's only a couple of inches above the next shelf. Seems like the space could be used more efficiently.

I learned this from my last refrigerator purchase, a Samsung that literally died after 4 years. Paid about $1800 which I thought was a decent deal for a quality item. This did not turn out to be the case. This time we go with highly recommended Kitchen-Aid and pay over a thousand more. First impression is SOLID. One change we made was to go with a side-by-side instead of the freezer at the bottom. We like that better. In summary... plenty of space on both sides, love the ice maker, and overall quality seems to be there.

Have had this fridge for a month now. Compared to my past refrigerators it is super quiet, I measured it to be 42-43 decibels when in active cooling mode. It is a good size for my 2 person household, and buying Costco size produce, salad kits and freezer items. Yes, the plastic for the drawers seems thin/cheap and the drawer glides are definately not luxurious, but so far so good. The glides do seem to run more smoothly with the drawers loaded up rather than totally empty. Door shelf layout options do seem suboptimal. I plan on seeing if I can buy an extra shelf. Note: stainless doors are easy to get smudge free IF you wipe with the grain of the steel which on these is horizontal rather than vertical. As main kitchen is still under remodel, I haven’t yet connected the water and run the dispenser & ice maker. The doors came unlevel to each other by a quarter inch or more, and didn’t self-adjust under weight of food and ice in doors as mentioned in the manual but the Geek Squad came out and got them perfectly level a couple days after the delivery.

My husband and I bought KitchenAid Model: KRSC503ESS 22.7 cu. ft. counter depth side-by-side refrigerator approx. 4 months ago for our family of four. It replaced our 25 year old Whirlpool refrigerator that was still working. KitchenAid Model: KRSC503ESS has a terrific feature that is not available by any other brand and was a necessity for our space that is 36" wide with a wall on the freezer side. The doors are constructed just like a built-in refrigerator. When open, the doors protrude only slightly in width from the refrigerator cabinet. We never thought we would like the in-door ice/water dispenser as much as we do. The freezer is nice and large. The refrigerator is a good size. We like the bottle rack and always use it. The refrigerator is sleek, beautiful, and quiet. It is very easy to keep the stainless steel doors looking beautiful with stainless steel polish.

I hate to shop for appliances and this was out of necessity instead of a wish list. We had a 6 year old Kenmore Elite that I had despised since we bought it new, and it died. I was not about to try and repair (since I did not like it anyway) so we went shopping. Best Buy was having a sales event so we went there and narrowed it down to 3 units that fit our criteria: size, stainless, dependable and on the lower end of price. This fit all and the sale went quickly. Delivery was within 3 days and it FIT. PROS: It cools quickly, is quiet and has the ability to conform the space for our needs. CONS: it shows smudges and fingerprints more than I like but that option put it out of budget so trade off worked.

We replaced a GE Profile refrigerator that was about 15 years old. The GE refrigerator was a problem right from the start. We had to make repairs almost every year - problems with temperature control, ice, water freezing in the door and towards the end it was very loud. This refrigerator we have had for a little over 2 months and we absolutely love it. For the counter depth it is laid out in such a way that we feel that we have so much more usable space than we did with the GE counter depth. The lighting inside is GORGEOUS - it looks like a magazine. Plenty of room for drinks and food in the door and the inside space is very usable. The ice maker is great (LOVE the shape of the cubes) and the refrigerator is very quiet. Only downside is there is not temperature gauge for the inside temperature. I bought a refrigerator temperature and it seems to hold an excellent temperature range - keeping food nice and cold and the freezer is very stable. We are thrilled so far. Highly recommend!!!!

Had this fridge for 5 months and I have no complaints. Timeless simple design with less “not needed functions”. All of my appliances are kitchen aid and they are great.

Refrigerator/freezer is spacious and looks great. The refrigerator compartments are spacious. The freezer has several drawers that store vegetables and meat efficiently. The refrigerator also has nicely divided areas for food storage. I like the built in air freshener as well as the water dispenser and ice maker. A nice clean stainless look!

This refrigerator is gorgeous inside and out! It's spacious interior is nice and the wine rack is great! The freezer makes the best ice cubes too!

Ice maker is of average speed, but cubes are great. Lighting is great. Storage is above average.

So many refrigerator descriptions say that they are counter depth but they are not much different than any other refrigerator as far as depth. This one is truly counter depth and looks great in our remodeled kitchen. The reason that I did not give it 5 stars is the ice maker is noisy in that when the ice comes out and it fills with water it sounds like I am filling a 5 gallon bucket. Also when getting ice it makes a lot of sound and everyone knows you are getting ice. But in the scope of things that is very minor. All other aspects of this frig has been as expected.

After having this installed for several weeks, I can positively say this is a great refrigerator. I was a little apprehensive as I was going from a 25 Cu Ft french door style with drawers, but I found that with this being essentially a big open chest, it provides more usable room than the fancy looking one with all the extra compartments and the associated dividers that waste space. The ice maker works great, unlike the one in my previous fridge that had issues because it was mounted in the door of the refrigerator compartment and not the freezer. If you need ice dispensed from the door, I would strongly encourage getting a side-by-side just so that component can be in the freezer section to avoid problems with the ice freezing together and defrosting over and over causing the mechanism to jam up. Time will tell on the reliability of this unit, but I did buy an extended warranty for peace of mind. I'll update my review if things go bad, but I am very optimistic that this was a great purchase!

Have had the fridge for only 2 months, otherwise would rate 5 stars. Quiet, energy efficient, well laid out, nice 5 bottle wine rack. Ice maker and water dispenser working fine. Personally glad we switched from French door bottom freezer to side-by-side. Very quick delivery from Best Buy (better than Home Depot or local appliance stores). Installers did well but I did have to stabilize the fridge myself (simple to do, and I'm not a handyman). Don't miss the box you have to check for removal of your old fridge. Created a slight headache, but ultimately taken care of by Best Buy.

I LOVE this fridge. Counter depth snd a little wider and taller so sq footage holds up to many non counter depths.

Sleek, quiet, and has all the bells and whistles we're looking for. Originally, planning on the model with the bottom freezer, and I'm so glad we didn't. In store, this model was made much sturdier, no clanking, drawers or piling food on top of each other. Also, got the matching microwave and dishwasher, love them.

We love our new fridge! The counter depth size fits our space perfectly. The storage accommodations are well designed. The ice/water dispensers function very well. Be sure to have some stainless steel cleaner and finish handy... Does show fingerprints, but overall so happy with this product and would highly recommend!

This refrigerator is always very quiet and keeps things at a stable temperature. There are just a couple things that could be improved: First, since the doors are flat, they show slight imperfections in the finish, especially the freezer door. If you look at certain angles, you can see waves and ripples in the steel. Secondly, the drawers could be quieter and operate more smoothly when pulled out fully. Overall a good refrigerator compared to chearper and noisier models.

Great price for quality product. Looked at a lot of refrigerators and this KitchenAid was best all around for the price. Stated dimensions were right on. Only one limitation: shelves are removable but not adjustable.
