We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14 laptop. First, be sure the issue is not with the restricted site you are accessing. Even if you have registered at this site before, it will not necessarily recognize the new computer and you will need to enter your registration information again. If that is not the issue, it is possible that resetting the computer back to original factory settings may correct the problem. Here is a link to information about resetting a Windows 10 computer back to original settings:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17085/windows-8-restore-refresh-reset-pc. Finally, if the issue continues, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14 laptop, model number 81VS0001US. Windows 10 S-Mode should not freeze. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with an update to your Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14 laptop. It is possible to rollback a Windows 10 update that does not work properly. Here is a link to instructions for rolling back a Windows 10 update:  https://www.howtogeek.com/235474/how-to-roll-back-builds-and-uninstall-updates-on-windows-10/. If you are unable to rollback or uninstall the update causing the problem, resetting the computer back to original factory setting may clear the update issue. Here is a link to instructions for resetting a Windows 10 computer back to original settings:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/recovery-options-in-windows-31ce2444-7de3-818c-d626-e3b5a3024da5#ID0EDD=Windows_10. If for some reason you are unable to reset your computer in this manor, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the Micro-SD card slot on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

Let me preface this review by stating that you are buying a sub $300 computer. I purchased this for the night class that I am taking and I wanted something lightweight and portable that could handle word documents and some web browsing. The initial setup took me about 30 minutes to start using the machine. The first thing I did once setup was complete was to uninstall McAfee and some of the other preinstalled software from the machine. Note: windows antivirus is already installed and takes up less resources than McAfee. Next was the painful part, I ran windows updates which took over an hour. Now to the actual machine, I have been very surprised by the responsiveness and speed of this machine. I am not sure what people expect when you purchase a laptop that is a third of the price of their phone but for the money I feel this laptop offers good value. The size is great, the weight is low, and the overall design is good. There is limited memory 64gb so you might want to get a flash drive or an sd card to save your files. If you plan on doing more than web browsing and word documents I would recommend you spend more money and get a higher end machine.

It's honestly a decent machine. It's not a fast computer, it took me a few hours to get all the Windows and App Store updates done. Once that's done though and the computer can settle down, it works quite well. It does not have the power to multitask so when updates are being installed just let it alone until they're done. I bought this machine just to have a laptop to complement my beefy desktop. I don't expect a lot out of the machine, more or less something to handle my email and web browsing when I'm away from the desk. It's working well so far for the price. Considering it comes with a year of Office 365, it's a great value with that bonus. It has a better keyboard than a $2000 MacBook Pro. The webcam and mic quality are passable, not great. I ran a test Zoom call in the browser and it did a fine job. Don't expect a fast laptop that will play games or multitask tons of apps at once, but for basic web browsing and Microsoft Office it'll do the job fairly well. The main hindrance with machines like this is 64GB of storage is not much. After I ran all the updates, I'm left with somewhere around 30GB of storage remaining. That's fine for my needs. You won't be storing movies or lots of photos on this machine, unless you add an external hard drive or microSD card though. If you plan on storing a lot of data on this machine and buying external hard drives, SD cards, etc, I'd probably recommend you look at a different laptop altogether. By the time you start adding on extras to laptops like this, you're getting closer and closer in price to better equipped choices. This laptop comes with pretty good WiFi and Bluetooth. I have bought other cheap laptops that came with very low-end WiFi chips (the current Gateway laptop from Walmart that has similar specs to this machine is one such example). I was glad to see that Lenovo put a good WiFi chipset in this machine. The screen is a little dim and washed out, but not as bad as I expected given the price. Battery life seems to be decent as well, although I have not had the machine for long (less than a day at this point). I don't expect any problems though. Overall, I am happy with the laptop for the price I paid. Make sure that you have good expectations - this is not a hidden bargain, you're getting exactly what you pay for here. However, if your needs are simple and you don't want to spend any more - enjoy it. It is built surprisingly well and is sturdy. As I said, the keyboard is great. A joy to type on.

This was bought for the sole purpose of participating in Google Meet sessions and for that purpose it works great. It would do well as a client for Google Drive or Onedrive. It has very little storage space for offline data, but has a microSD slot. It is noticeably slower at startup and I wouldn't rely on this machine for anything more hardware intense than word processing and streaming. For 120 dollars it was a great bargain.
