The only issue I currently have is as a hairy gentleman, the engraved Yoga logo on the side will occasionally pull hairs on my wrist. I'll end up throwing a sticker over that at some point though, so it's all good.

Lenovo Yoga 7i

I’ve had HP’s for a long time and was hesitant to switch brands. Speed is great. Screen has great resolution. Very smooth transition moving data over from the cloud. Battery life has been excellent. I purchased it on sale, and was very happy when I saw other models for more money, but this computer is superior.

Bigger student pick

The 14" was a student pick, but $200 more than the 16", so I went with the bigger screen. So far I enjoy it. I'm able to have multiple windows open and follow along easily while taking notes in class.

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect the device’s power output leading to enhanced battery life. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
Secondly, the Legion 7i allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Space app, Under the CPU and GPU Performance gauges you will find the option to toggle performance profiles. We suggest using Quiet mode which will lower the temperature of your Legion 7i when under load and reduce power consumption. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.

Way Better Than I Expected

I’ve been using it every day since it arrived, and honestly, it’s been great. Performance: It’s fast. I can have a bunch of tabs, apps, and videos open and it still runs smoothly. No loud fan noise, no weird lag—just reliable performance for work and everyday stuff. Screen: The 16-inch touchscreen is one of my favorite parts. It’s bright, clear, and the extra screen space makes a bigger difference than I expected. Touch response is super smooth, and I like flipping it into different modes when I’m watching shows or just browsing. Build & Design: It feels solid and well-made. The hinge is sturdy, the body looks clean and modern, and even though it’s 16 inches, it’s not too heavy to carry around. It has a “premium” feel without being overly flashy. Battery Life: Battery life has been surprisingly strong. I can go most of the day without charging unless I’m doing something really demanding. Keyboard & Speakers: Typing on it feels comfortable, and the backlit keys are a nice touch. The speakers are better than what I’ve had on other laptops—good volume and clarity for watching videos or listening to music. Overall: I’m really happy with this purchase. It’s a great all-around laptop—fast, reliable, and super versatile. If you’re thinking about getting the Yoga 7i, I’d say go for it. I’m glad I did.

Great laptop

It has all the latest features including backlit keyboard, ir camera (for windows hello), touch screen, 2 in 1 capability (turns into a tablet) and is quite stylish with a minimal approach. If you're like me and you read review after review of 50 different laptops before pulling the trigger on one, then save yourself the trouble. This laptop is easily worth the sale price. I wouldny pay more than that because then you are entering premium laptop land and that can be a slippery slope. The one commonality that I read in all the reviews and experienced first hand, and agree with, is the laptop is a little heavy. I bought the same size screen laptop (hp model) for my daughter for christmas and it feels so much lighter. For me, the weight isnt a deal breaker. Its not as heavy as a gaming laptop but heavier then similar sized laptops. I would say this laptop is worth the money and I would recommend it.
