Beautiful picture out of the box. Very easy to setup but I’m still on directv, so it was as simple as plug and play. Has nice sound for a TV these days. It is very lightweight and easy to hang on the wall.

This may be a premature review as I hooked this telly up just a few hours ago. Initial impressions can be helpful though. I bought this after a couple of weeks researching 43" UHD Smart televisions. This was priced very reasonably and is a perfect size for the bedroom or smaller den. Tons of nice features,set-up is a breeze, very intuitive, that's good because the owner's manual is not overflowing with information. The video exceeded my expectations, audio isn't an issue as I use external speakers. As a matter of fact,I haven't heard the built-in speakers at all.Very nice TV so far though....

Clunky GUI, ridiculous stand, snowy starts

Great picture, overall construction quality is good, very light unit. The 2 legs acting as a "stand" are ridiculous and UNSAFE as the TV will fall with a wisp of wind behind it. We don't have satellite, just wifi so every time you turn it on, it doesn't remember the last input and defaults to the input with noisy snow on it because there's no cable/satellite hooked to it. WiFi needs to be <30 feet away otherwise no connectivity. GUI and remote control leave a LOT to be desired. Frustrating in 2020 to see such poor design choices.

After more than two weeks of comparing reviews of several 40-43 inch LED televisions from several brands including Sony, LG, Samsung, and house brands, I chose the LG 43 inch UHD 6 series TV. Curb side pickup was easy and efficient. Packaging was easy to remove and protected the unit from damage. Guided by other reviews noting the tiny feet that were prone to tipping the set, I purchased and attached a heavy metal pedestal that offered a stable base for and easy rotation of the screen. With power and antenna lines attached, I used the remote of turn on the TV and allowed it to run an initial set-up routine that identified available channels in my "out-state" rural area. I selected a channel and began watching the evening news. Later I began to explore the many options that were provided through use of the remote. I found the printed manual inadequate as a reference for what those options might entail. Eventually, with many attempts to pursue settings that would fit my preferences, I managed to explore some of them in detail. After two weeks of viewing I am beginning to sample on-line content from the LG as well as other sources, have connected both VCR and DVD units, and linked the set to my external audio system. Picture quality is very good, Audio quality is good within the limitations of the two tiny speakers and modest in-set amplification. No failures have yet appeared. My only concern is the inadequate printed documentation which I prefer over on-line or internal demonstrations. I fear that may never discover some of the unit's features for months to come. Nonetheless, it is vastly superior to the 1986 Hitachi 19 inch TV it replaced. s features

I originally bought this TV after tons of research and I loved it so much we bought another for our sons game room. I have had one glitch where the picture went black, but the sound was still audible. I looked online and found where this can be an issue with this model and the fix is simply to unplug the cord and plug back in and all better. This only happened once after 3 months of use and it has been about 3 months since and it hasn't happened again. Even with this minor glitch I would recommend purchasing this model for the picture quality, sound, ease of set-up, price point, and available apps.

The LG 43" Class LED 6 Series has so much to offer. I actually like LG products and this is my first time owning an LG TV. I replaced my First Generation Samsung Smart 22" tv with this model and am really happy with the functionality. Set up was relatively easy. I am still exploring the functions at this point. The instruction sheet is easy to follow for setup. It is very light to handle and not bulky . Impressed with the availability of over the air channels without having to attach a digital antenna. One hundred channels were pulled in as opposed to my digital antenna with reaching 11 channels tops. That's a plus. Setting up U-verse was simple. The remote control is easy to use. There are two types from what I gleaned from the instruction sheet. For this model the remote is a basic remote. All functions are on the remote and are easy to follow as well. There are navigation buttons for Netflix and Hulu at your finger tips. No running through a hub to access those. My Samsung model did not have the capability to access any of the streaming shows. The color for this model is crisp and clear. I watched a Netflix series and the picture was nice and substantially clear. 20 watt speakers has just enough sound with out raising the volume beyond 45 to hear when I am in my kitchen which is a plus. My Samsung tv's sound did not project as loud and I always had to adjust the sound beyond 45 to actually hear it if I wasn't sitting directly in front of it. The model can be mounted with a VESA 200x200 mount which I plan to do in the future as soon as I figure out my wall space. For now I have it placed on my coffee table. Notifications for updates become available on the screen which is a plus which can be immediately attended to. The set can registered with LG. Price point is great.

Very satisfied for an inexpensive 43" LG Smart TV. Originally was going for a Samsung series 7 open box, but there was some disconnect with what was listed online and what could be found from the curbside pick up. So I went with the LG that was carted out. Picture and sound quality are very good, comparable to our previous but broken Samsung. My only complaint is that this LG model doesn't allow a direct connection with HBO. I can't download the app, have to stream it from my iPhone. I may cancel HBO as we hardly watch it now with Netflix, Crackle, Dish, etc.

I ordered this tv for a friend and it has all the features someone who isn’t too tech savvy may want and need; it has apple airplay, decent picture and sound quality, all the streaming apps you may need such as Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV, (HBO MAX was recently added). It’s simple to set up and has a lot of the software features the higher end LG TVs may have, contrast/picture quality is good but not comparable to any higher end tv, it does lack Dolby vision and Dolby atmos but the HDR is pretty solid.

My wife and I bought this TV to put in our bedroom, we weren’t looking for anything too big but I still wanted great picture quality. We decided on this one after reviewing others and we’re so glad we did because it is awesome. Its got better picture quality than our 55” TCL in the living room, and its smart tv software is actually great too. Typically I’m not impressed with the built-in software of smart TVs, but this one is great and easy to use. It’s not our biggest TV, but it’s our favorite!

A great upgrade but LG's webOS is too slow

I finally replaced my Sharp 32" Aquos HD (1080i/780p) set with this LG 43" 4K Class 6 Series and I love the picture quality. It's great, but the LG's audio sucks compared to the front mounted speakers on my Sharp. I didn't expect the amount of degradation in sound quality. The LG has much more treble and very little bass. I'll most likely add a sound bar to improve the audio. I am using LG's HDTV tuner for OTA (over-the-air) content and it pulls in all my stations in the Twin Cities area, no issues. I had started using DirecTV with my Sharp and is worked out well. Eventually, I cut the line and replaced it with an AppleTV 4K with streaming Youtube TV which I was satisfied with on the Sharp. Once Youtube TV jacked their prices in August 2020, I bundled my TV with Xfinity saving money, but Xfinity doesn't support Xfinity Stream on Apple TV. This forced me to upgrade my Sharp to a new smart TV from LG or Samsung. Since this TV isn't our primary setup, I wanted to get the best TV that I could for under $500 that would fit the space of my Sharp. I narrowed it down to the LG and Samsung 43" models and after reading good things about the LG, I ordered it. I really enjoy the Apple TV 4K with the HDR support on my LG. I installed the Xfinity Stream (Beta) on the LG and it works, sort of, but it's really slow and the user interface is difficult with the LG remote and only supports 1080p. I know that I could have added another Xfinity X1 box but then I'd be paying monthly for something I didn't want. I got around my dissatisfaction of the Xfinity Stream under webOS by adding all the apps I wanted for streaming content on my Apple TV, using my Xfinity account to enable them, which works great and I'm very happy, except CBS All-Access still requires an additional subscription (which I'm refusing to add). So using my Xfinity account to authorize my Apple TV Apps is working great on my new LG 43" 4K Class 6 Series TV. I'm actually happier than I expected with this setup now working. I really like the Apple TV interface over LG's webOS or the Xfinity X1. I can operate everything with one remote control from my Apple TV, which is a huge plus in my opinion.

I bought this 43" LG for my bedroom to replace the past-its-prime 17" 720p TV I won from a Bingo game eight years ago. The difference between the two TV's is like Dorothy walking into the land of Oz. The picture is bright and vibrant, the sound fills the room at the 15 level, so I'm waiting for a day the house is empty so I can go full mancave mode with Avengers: Endgame! I've paired the set with an LG 4K Ultra BluRay player, and they work seamlessly together. When I switch on the BluRay, the TV automatically switches to the player as a source, and often times when I press the play button, the BluRay will bypass the main menu. It's a little thing, but it makes a huge difference! I've had the set for about a month, now, so I've had a chance to navigate the remote and download the apps I need. I'm currently running Spotify, (Janet Jackson's The Velvet Rope; Marian Hill; Les Nubians) and it just sounds amazing! The tuner pulls in over-the-air stations, while online services such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. The result: a cable/satellite experience at about 1/10 the cost. I've tried the web browser on the set with a mixed bag of results. I've found difficulty streaming video on some sites, while others are easy peasy. This hasn't occurred on my laptop, so I think it's just an LG thing. I've been using the remote to go from site to site, so needless to say, it's a pain to use the virtual keyboard on the screen. I'm pretty sure a bluetooth keyboard could remedy the issue-- I'll update this once I do. Aside from this, I love virtually everything on this LG 43" 4K TV. I'm currently waiting delivery of my Sony Xperia 1 II, and I'm still mulling over whether Alexa or Google Now is better suited to my personal needs, but the way things stand now, the LG is a great TV. It's perfect for my room, and stands to be a beautiful centerpiece to my fledgling smart environment.

I like my new LG TV. Great picture and easy to setup. I'm replacing a similar size Toshiba TV that lasted less than 4 years. My new TV has all new features. Connection to wifi was easy and painless. It also has lots of apps so you can get your TV in other ways than cable TV service. It was also nice to shop online and pick up my TV at my local store. I had ordered another TV online at Walmart, but it was damaged during shipment. They did not have the pickup at store for the TV.
