Awesome sound bar the Dolby Atmos is amazing! for select movies and games this sound bar really brings the room to life! I've gone to the movie theater now and have been disappointed because i get better sound at home with this sound bar!

Perfect to pair with the 65” LG 4K OLED tv. It looks nice below the screen and has a modern look. Great sound quality with Dolby atmos. I’d recommend measuring your tv stand, because the sound bar was bigger than I expected.

I am no home theater connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination However, having been fiddling around with this sound system for 3 weeks, I can say this is great. We have the rear speakers as well for a true surround sound

I was very skeptical of transitioning to a sound bar but was wanting to reduce some room clutter and simplify the number of remotes that something as simple as watching a movie had been requiring. I’m not going to get into a lot of the technical talk others do – I’m sure many are smarter than me and I did follow the main advice of downloading the app and updating the operating system first thing. I’ve set mine for the sound that’s features the Meridian technology (sorry can’t recall which one that is – consult the manual I guess – I think it might be called standard?). I thought I had a very nice 5.1 system before with a Denon receiver and Pioneer speakers but personally this sound bar out of the box on night one first movie I thought was an improvement.

Generally sounds very good. Two issues - dialogue in Dolby Atmos is a bit weak on some streaming services, but sounds great on Dolby Atmos Blu-Rays. Wireless Soundbar is not 100% reliable - other Wifi devices including routers can interfere with the signal. Takes some trial and error to find proper placement.

This sound bar is fantastic. The sub has very deep bass response and the audio quality is just great. The atmos feature works well and you feel as if there were rear speakers. One note: This soundbar is BIG. It's recommended to use if you'll either wall-mount or place on top of a furniture or mantle. I tried using it with a soundbar mount (that hangs from the TV mount) and it was too heavy for it. The only con is the ugly remote that comes with it, but that can be easily solved by using an universal remote or simply controlling the volume with the TV remote (when using ARC or Optical connection)

Love this sound system. It’s the priciest sound bar I’ve ever purchased, but the best at the same time. Use in it concert with the wireless subwoofer and satellite surround speakers, which work great, so long as you have unobstructed space between the SoundBar/Subwoofer and subwoofer/satelliteSpeakerReciever.

The product sounded really good but sometimes there was a disconnect in the bass module which was not a good experience. So had to return the product and order a new one. The new product was really good and didn't have the disconnect. Overall this is a very nice sound bar for the LG TV's.

Bought to replace my Sony Surround Amp and speakers. No problems, easy set-up. Instructions lacking as is information regarding use of HDMI-ARC to allow Dolby Atmos. I first used Optical connection was not satisfied and changed to ARC. Still not sure this is the ultimate situation. YOU MUST DO SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD prior to using the soundbar, until you install update you have no center sound on movies and CANNOT hear dialogue. Update was easy but must be done on LG speaker app on your phone.

Awesome sound system, very nice quality and easy to use. The different features are great. Sound bar is large, but is still aesthetically pleasing.

This is my first Atmos bar and the sound quality alone is crazy good. Like someone else mentioned, download the “LG Wi-Fi Speaker” app to easily change settings and speaker output. I had some issues when I first set it up, but that was my own fault. Worth noting that the Atmos feature isn’t “in your face” apparent. However, my room is not perfect for it, so there’s that. It is there though, and is a welcome addition. I’m running it with my Xbox One X and LG B7A. It passes through 4K and HDR. I am going to add the SPK8 rear speakers in the near future to sweeten the deal.

I recommend the LG SK10Y with reservations. To achieve optimal sound, inputs must connect to the soundbar and then soundbar ARC output to the TV. Also, all audio settings must be controlled through the LG phone app. All connected devices such as blueray and the TV must have audio settings set to defaults for ATMOS. Additionally, LG recommends using high-quality HDMI cables with Ethernet capability. The sound quality is great; I rated this down only because the device was difficult to set up and the sound output is extremely touchy if the device is not properly connected and set up.

Nice design and nice quality sound. The The simulated Dolby Atmos surround sound doesn't work as well as we hoped and seems more like a gimmick. We have gotten better sound quality from a cheaper soundbar.

Happy with the functionality of this soundbar. After the firmware update it really did perform. Hopefully LG will continue to keep firmware updates coming over the next year or so. A little spendy for non DTS compatibility but the dolby atmos works for my living room setup

Good matchup with lg 65 inch OLED. I was able to purchase sound bar for considerably less when bundling tv purchase,tech support and sound bar.

So as someone that has had several surround stereo systems throughout my movie watching life, I've attempted to get away from constant upgrades of bits and pieces by focusing on just using a central soundbar and the LG SK10Y with Atmos support sounded like the pinnacle of all those hopes and dreams. Unfortunately, those hopes still await the next bit of technology as this soundbar did not satisfy the desire to have an all-in-one solution. As has been notated in several other reviews, dialog that coincided with background noise was complete mush. Utilizing scenes from Civil War, there were entire segments where you could not understand what anyone was saying during a pivotal fight scene. Along with this is a distinct lack of oomph to the subwoofer. Another review described it as punchy without any rattle but part of the premise of Atmos is a sense of immersion. Without any of the feeling of the sub you're left with a clinical representation of bass that you can recognize with your ear, but when Optimus Prime lands on an aircraft carrier and you're questioning why it sounds like someone just threw a metal pipe onto the floor there's definitely something wrong. In terms of input definitely make sure you're utilizing some sort of HDMI input and not just pulling info from the TV through arc. If the sound was a bit underwhelming this became doubly so using the TV to stream movies and pass the sound to the bar. This was quickly rectified by testing with an Apple TV 4k, PS4 Pro and a 4k Blu-ray player. All in all, I'd say this might be a great fit for those that aren't desiring that deep visceral feeling of bass (aka you don't like what movies are like at the theatre). If you're looking for highly accurate sound or instances where you need to be quieter (shared walls?) this may fit the bill as I couldn't hear/feel the bass from the next room over. In my case, I'll stick with my LG SH7B for now until I can test a couple of other soundbars or throw in the towel and go back to individual speakers.

This soundbar sounds amazing, especially on dolby atmos movies. I have it paired with the LG rear speakers and I couldn't be happier.

I've always followed reviews before making purchases however sound bars are different in every room. It was a perfect item for my living room as the sound is definitely immersive Im an avid theater moviegoer and the sound is on par with the theater quilty I'm used to. Great item as it does Dolby Atmos very well in my home the sound bounces and goes to levels of high quality audio. I've had a 15k tower sound system and other high end sound systems not mentioning any names. so I'm not exxagerating lg has made a great sound system imho.

Got this open box for around $300 in good condition. One of the best you can get for a sound bar experience.

Excellent sound. The Dolby Atmos is an advanced product. The sound bar could not be attached to TV and therefore was mounted just below and looks perfect. However for a large room with high ceilings consider additional rear speakers.
