Customers find value in the gram 2-in-1 14" Touch-Screen Laptop for its exceptional battery life, lightweight design, and responsive touch screen. Many users appreciate how light it is, with some even being surprised by its weight. The laptop's solid aluminum body is also a popular feature, with customers praising its beautiful design. While some users have mentioned concerns about the fan noise and issues with the microSD slot, the overall positive feedback suggests that these drawbacks do not significantly detract from the laptop's overall appeal.

|First Impressions|
Nice! When I opened the box and took out the laptop from the sleeve, I was excited. It felt like Apple quality but not heavy. It is beautifully made from a solid aluminum body. This could replace my tablet and laptop. It is thin with 16GB of RAM and the latest i7 processor. Snappy and fast to setup after the long initial boot. I think I was done with setup in less than 20 minutes including plugging it in and setting up Windows. The pen is a nice addition, and it feels a lot like an Apple Pencil but with Wacom performance. The charger is a proprietary plug, which I am not a fan of, but they do include USB C/Thunderbolt 3 which can double as a charging port. Speakers are bottom firing and very weak so I recommend headphones.
-=|Love|=-
+Integrated Fingerprint Sensor - LG has incorporated a reader into the power button that performs well… GENIUS! It works with Windows Hello and makes unlocking your computer super simple.
+Design and Build Quality - This laptop oozes elegance and minimalism.
+Pen and Touch Screen - I really appreciate the touch screen and note taking ability with this computer. It truly can replace your tablet and current laptop.
+Snappy Performance and Boot Up - If you never experienced SSD, you will be in for a treat. This is really fast and you will be spoiled.
+Battery Life - I got about 15 hours of confirmed battery life with a bit to spare.
+Minimal Bloatware - There isn't much bloatware to speak of. Just LG software functions that link to the keyboard and that is about all.
-=|Not So Much|=-
-NO GPU - At this price point not even an intel cheapie?
-Charger - We are in 2019. You make a laptop with an old charge connector while offering a C/Thunderbolt port? Eliminate the old chargers from 2005 and add another Thunderbolt port. At this price point I would expect at least 2 type C connections.
-Pen Battery - With AAAA being their choice, you better hope your replacements are nearby when it finally does go.
-Lacks volume buttons - Since this is a 2 in 1, it is trying to replace a tablet or feel like one. When in tablet mode, I find myself looking for volume rockers but there are none. You either have to fold the keyboard into laptop mode and use keyboard for volume, or you can tap the volume icon in the notification area to adjust volume. Not efficient to me.
-Speakers - These speakers just sound so weak. Being they are bottom firing doesn't help, but they sound good when you can hear them. Buy yourself a good set of headphones and that is fixed.
-=Verdict=-
Overall, this is a great laptop that doubles as a tablet. My recommendation is to skip this if you use programs that are CPU intensive and require GPU to work properly. If you are the average user who wants flexibility and function without sacrificing on build, this is for you. This is NOT a gaming laptop so don't even try. This can do Photoshop well but video editing/rendering is a struggle. Content creators look elsewhere since this is lacking in the graphics department.

Premium laptop here. I moved to this LG Gram from a 15 in 2 in 1 Dell. Grant it, this is about 2x the price I paid for the Dell a couple years ago, but it is simply a fabulous machine.
This unit is durable, very light and looks very clean.
Speed:
With the Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB Memory & 512GB Solid State Drive this 2 in 1 really screams.
This is my first run at a laptop with an i7 and I am loving it. It has been very snappy at every task I have thrown at it. Watching Hulu and other videos look great.
Speakers:
Speakers are alright for a thin laptop, located on the bottom toward the front, not real loud, but I usually use Bluetooth headphones or speaker anyway.
Screen:
The high def screen (1920 x 1080) resolution has a great picture and color quality. Text is nice and sharp as well. The screen is made of scratch-proof Corning Gorilla Glass as well, so it is also tough.
Keyboard:
The keyboard has a nice feel with backlit keys. There are 2 brightness settings. I do wish there was a slightly brighter setting though. There is a power button to the right of the ‘Delete’ key and has a great fingerprint reader. This is one of my favorite features.
Connections / Ports:
You get one USB Type C 3.1 port, two USB Type A 3.1 ports and headphone jack. You also have an HDMI Standby button and mini SD card slot. Thank you LG for at least 2 standard USB slots!
Power plug feels slightly wimpy. I worry about long term durability. LG could take a page out of Dells book here and use a larger connection with light up cord.
Battery Life:
Battery life is fantastic. I have not used it consistently for a whole day, but I believe it will go 7-8 hours.
Pen:
LG bundles its Stylus Pen to help you handle all your writing and drawing needs. This pen functions very well and it a nice add on for tablet mode. The only drawback is there is no place to store it. Not sure why companies overlook this feature.
Wi-Fi:
The Wi-Fi is fantastic. Did a test on my home Wi-Fi and got a full 200+ Mbps download.
Pros:
Light Weight
Fast
Great battery life
Tough
Included Pen
Cons:
Maybe the keys could light up a little more.
Power plug feels slightly wimpy. I worry about long term durability.
No Pen attachment
Conclusion:
I hope I didn’t miss anything in the review above. I will say this is a great, lightweight and tough 2-in-1 laptop. Great for personal or business use. Normally you get either power and all the extra’s but have to settle for terrible battery life, with this LG gram you get it all with excellent battery life.
I would highly recommend.

Great battery, smooth transition to tablet mode.It lives up to its name "gram" for weight
Con- charger pin is very tiny and afraid of breaking it. SUCKY SPEAKERS- i guess that the trade off for weight.

I really like the matte finish and obviously that LG Gram is so light. I don't know yet if the battery really holds the charge as advised, but it would really make a difference in my travels.

Love the features, love the weight, love the style. the only complaint would be that there is no holder for the stylus (pen) but other wise, ive been using it for work and play and love the speed. to start up and log on it takes about 6 seconds. great bang for the buck. I'm very pleased.

This computer was great out of the box. Light and fast. I've had it for 4 months or so and it now freezes all the time, software crashes, etc, etc. LG's customer service is pretty rough and hard to deal with.
If you need a serious computer, I wouldn't recommend this machine.

One son bought an LG Gram 13 because Consumer Reports ranked it right after Apple's offerings and it's about half the price. Second son wanted more power and RAM and chose this LG Gram 14. Both sons have found these LG Grams to be excellent performers.

To start there is the bad touchpad scrolling but that I decided to live with because this laptop had everything I wanted. The first one I bought after about 2 weeks the micro sdcard slot stopped working, so I sent it back and ordered another one. I've had this one for 2 weeks and guess what? same thing micro sdcard slot stopped working today. My first computer there was something wrong with the keyboard, after calling LG they told me it must be a hardware issue that has caused my laptops to stop working. Now that just makes me believe that Best Buy might just be the problem. Every time I buy something super expensive from Best Buy I always have way more problems than I should for "new" merchandise.

LG GRAM

Let me start my review on the LG Gram 2 in 1 14 inch touch screen laptop, by saying I'm not a professional PC or laptop reviewer. I am an average user, so i will review the LG Gram from that perspective. First off, the case on this thing is beautiful. LG says its a composite metal, but it feels like a nice aluminum case. The finish is like a bead blasted look, this does not hold fingerprints. I like that. Moving on, the speed in which the LG Gram loads is real fast. My last laptop was taking about 10 minutes to load from off. This unit is loading from off, in less than 30 seconds. Also the LG Gram is super light. This thing could be carried all day by anyone. The Gram seems lighter to me than an average book. This laptop also flips around in reverse to become a tablet. This feature is quiet nice for watching videos etc..
For the most part the LG Gram is a great laptop. This unit has tons of power for what most folks will use it for. This laptop does not have a disk drive, but it does have multiple USB ports. So it's possible to connect a external drive. The keyboard on the LG Gram is actually pretty nice to use. (I'm using it right now.)
In conclusion the LG Gram is a great laptop, with lots of power. It is easy to use and light weight. The keyboard is nice and the track pad is very sensitive. The Gram is beautiful with a nice finish on the outside. It also has a stylus that works great to keep fingerprints off the screen. It has a nice weight to it like a good ink pen. So if you are in need of light weight laptop, give the LG Gram a try. I think you'll like it! 5 stars from me.

I waited several days for the LG Gram to arrive. As soon as I turned it on it went to a blue screen. I had to return it. It was not fixable and no replacement in stock. I did not have time to shop for a different computer in store. This is very inconvenient and disappointing. Best Buy should have done something since they are the only retailer.
