At the recommendation of a sales rep, I got rid of the router provided by Comcast Xfinity and replaced it with the supposedly more powerful Linksys AC 1200. It does provide a better signal, especially upstairs where I placed it (because the sales expert said the signal travels better downward than upward), but it still is not powerful enough to get through the floor (ceiling) from the upstairs level of my townhouse to the downstairs. The unit was easy to assemble and use, and it clearly is better than the $10/month garbage that Xfinity was renting me (it did not get through the floor at all) - so in that regard, I'm better off. And the sale price made it an even better deal.

Was having speed and connection strength issues with old Wi-Fi unit. Have XBOX ONE, tablet, smart phone, laptop. DSL internet service is all that is available in my area. This Linksys unit recommended by sales associate cleared up all lagging issues and works great with all of my products.

So far the router has worked well. My only issue with best buy now and before is that store employees seem to hide when you need one. They're constantly in the back or as happened to me personally they are busy texting or talking amongst themselves and make you feel like your bothering them when you ask them for assistance.

Time Warner wanted to rent me a router but I found this Linksys router at Bestbuy and the clerk helped me find the one that was the best price and type for my needs. This item has been perfect and I recommend it for anyone currently paying to rent one from Time Warner or any cable company

For the price it works good it was easy to install

Easy setup, good user interface and a great price point make this a good value for most home users. It plays well with my wireless printer, phones and other WiFi devices, and I am pleased with the overall performance.

My previous Linksys router came with network magic software which made home network setup a breeze. This unit use the cloud which I'm not as used to. The router itself has very good speed pass through and a much longer wireless range. Both of which were the most important factors when I was looking for a new router. So far I'd say i'm very happy with the unit.

Full disclosure, my old cable modem and cable lines on the street were causing problems that we're not caused by this router. Because there were moments when it seemed like the router was causing buffering issues but it is most likely a cable modem/cable line problem. But the setup of this router was incredibly easy, the interface was great, the performance was excellent and all for a great price! I really wish technology in the WiFi space didn't advance so quickly because it seems like the hardware keeps upgrading and I wish there was a router that had a ton of built-in hardware that could be activated over time by software updates, but alas that will be the day.

The Linksys - 802.11ac Smart Wi-Fi Gigabit Router incorporates the new 802.11ac protocol and the Beamforming technology seems to work well for our mobile devices -- laptop and tablets. Had lots of dropped signals with our previous Netgear, though it did its job for 4 years. Easy setup. Like the Smart Wifi access interface for setup and management.
