A huge upgrade from my $20 router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a huge upgrade from myt $20 router that I had before. I always wondered what difference there could possibly be since they all transfer the information. It doesn't fail, and really shines when transferring large data files over your network.

Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems to work well enough. We use multiple devices and when the router is in a central location, things load quickly. Streaming through the TV isn't as fast or clear as I'd have expected, though that may be something else.

Posted .Hi Mxwm,
We appreciate the time you spent in sharing your experience with us. We suggest that you adjust the router’s wireless channel to avoid possible interference in your network. Use the Wi-Fi analyzer app. It helps you to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router.
Once accomplished, observe the connection for a day or two. Should you need further assistance, you are always welcome to contact us via email at [email protected]. Please include your contact details, location, and the link to this review for reference.
Regards,
Linksys Support

Took a while to work out the kinks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup was easy. The phone app to manage is nice. It took me an hour or so to figure out how to configure the channel. The router defaults to a auto-channel pick, which is cool, but so do the other 20 routers in my area. My channel was switching too often for any of my devices to stay connected. Once I set it to a specific channel, all the connectivity issues went away. After a little learning curve, i definitely enjoy this router. I have not tried to hook anything up through the usb, though. I'm sure it will work fine. Probably a little too much for what my needs are (eg. Video streaming, console gaming, internet browsing, etc.)

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This set up in a matter of minutes with no problems. I like the fact that I can select any device it sees and put restrictions on one or all of them. Makes it nice for not allowing young children to access certain sites, or even Internet access at set times.

New Router when old one not getting job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old router not enough power for Wi-Fi when multiple other routers in apartment building over powering my older (6 yrs.) Linksys router. This one plugged in quickly and easily. On-line instructions and setup worked quickly and setup in about 20 min.

Excellent value router for home use
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: 1. Very easy to set up, it literally takes only about 10 minutes. 2. Coverage: Dual antennas is enough coverage for our 2,800 sq ft. two story (even though the router is in the basement, not an ideal placement). 3. The USB 3.0 port provides an easy way to connect external storage (such as a portable hard drive) to the network. 4. Power consumption: about 4 watts (excellent). Highly recommended for home use. Easy to set it, and forget it.

Good for smaller spaces or 2nd access point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to supplement the marginal WiFi router that came with cable subscription. Neither one has ample coverage for the entire house. Problem is now there are two WiFi networks in the house. Next time will spend a little more and invest in a mesh network for a single WiFi network and automatic switching between the access points with the stronger signal. Overall, pleased with the purchase as it met the immediate need.

Great router for one-story. Not so great for two.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router as a replacement for the cheap router you get with Verizon FIOS. I was told it would be fine for two stories, but my floors must be thicker than normal because the signal strength was significantly reduced from the 2nd to the 1st floor. Upstairs, next to the router was awesome. All though out my room was great. My roommates room was still awesome. But downstairs there were relatively frequent dropouts. I tried adjusting the antennas a few different ways to see if that would help, but there was not much difference. I personally liked the user-friendly, simple GUI with linksys smart wifi. Not hard to understand and easy to customize the few settings you can change. I ended up returning this and upgrading to the WRT1900AC. Best decision I made.

Linksys Router a Massive Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my G band router from the dark ages with this Linksys, and it is amazing how much better coverage it offers for wifi at my house. Set up was easy and intuitive, and it has yet to crash, even with power outages.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After I bought this at Bestbuy I started reading some reviews and some were good some bad. extends my wifi system through out my house
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the basic router and wireless system that comes with the cable company service. I have to keep that router because I have land line phone service as part of my cable package, but it has a very limited wifi range. I bought this router so that I can use my internet more than just one room away from the cable router. It has worked very well for me for the last 18months or so. I thought the price was right, and it was easy to install. It's password is easy to use on my wireless printer, cell phone, and tablet.

Fast, range is what you’re paying for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fast if you’re in the same room. Paying for 250mb/s and I normally get between 200-250 on the 5g. I live in a town home and I have this set up in the living room. On the opposite side of my 1400sq ft home, I get closer to 15mb/s (likely due to the multitude of walls between me and the router). Great for a small house or apartment if it’s centrally located. If not, I’ve found a powerline adapter is much more economical than going up $200 in price

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't know how to set it up on Mac but I called tech support and they helped out perfectly. Now it works all around the house and I'm happy plus my roommate 2 yay for Best Buy guy for helping me. Give him a raise what ever his name is :-)

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a great product with an easy to use interface. I used it to bypass my slower wireless router that is attached to the cable box. I just turned off the wireless transmitter on that to reduce any interference.

Good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 2 months ago and haven't had any issues with it. It's more then I wanted to spend but so far it's worth it. I installed it myself was a little confused but I got it figured out pretty east and fast.
