I was impressed with how easy it was to add this router. It basically figures everything out by itself. The cloud control panel has many great features. It's design is simply but the cords that came with it could of been longer.

Overall its a good router but I have two main issues with it. First it runs hot, so in an attempt to get a little more circulation on it I have rigged up a little stand to lift it up so air can get to the bottom of it. Second issue is that every few weeks its seems like I have to reboot it as it has dropped the internet. May be due to the heat issue or it seems to happen when I have a lot of devices/people in the house on the internet.
I guess time will tell.
I did not intend to buy this router but the one I wanted was out of stock so I got this one and took a chance.

Does what I need, solid gigabit speed over wireless! My connection is only 130mbit and does that steady over a Ac867 wireless dongle! No sudden dropouts or hickups just a great Linksys product as always!

My internet had been lagging and on the slow side for awhile when I decided to purchase. It has made a significant improvement in not only my speed but preventing my internet signal from dropping :)

I do not have any devices that use AC band yet, but all my N-band devices connect very well, it covers my 2,000sq ft business great. I bought this to replace another router, but the problem turned out to be with a switch elsewhere in the system. I liked this router, the former one was about 2 years old and decided to keep the upgrade rather than wait for the old one to fail. Works great so far (2 months into ownership).

Router was so easy to set up. Took longer to get it out of the box than to set up. We loved all the options to controll the shut off time for kids tablets, and options for guests to use and not need the password etc.

Good router- easy to setup and provides good wifi signal throughout most of my house. The back yard is a little spotty but I will buy a signal booster to get better coverage outside.

This router seems to be doing a great job. All of our devices seem to be working well with it....ipad, kindle, notebooks, directv. It replaced an old Linksys that died. The lady at the store recommended this one. Satisfied.

I got this to replace my other router that failed me. So far it is working very well. I get great signal all over my house, and we used it as a hub for 3 other switches during a LAN party with no latency at all. It's great!

This router is high end for the price paid and has worked great since installation. Should you need help with customer service, be forewarned, Linksys outsources customer service to the Philippines.

This is a good router for a big house. You will have a good to great connection for sure. The app Linksys recommends to hook it up was not easy to do. In fact I just used the starter CD instead.

This is a great router for its price. The dual channels is a nice feature and works well with the various streaming devices (Roku = 4, AppleTV = 2, iPad = 2 and an iPhone) connected at any given time. Setup was not as simple as I had initially anticipated and I had to actually call the support desk but it was all sorted out within a few minutes. An added bonus is the "Guest Access" feature which is easily accessible with the free App for iPhone and Android. I also use the App to renew the IP Address and to reboot the router from time to time as was recommended by my ISP. All I all I'm quite pleased with this router and have had no issues whatsoever since it was first installed.

This router was recommended by my son who is a computer network analyst. We've had it a short time now and it has worked well. We previously owned Linksys products and they have never let us down.

Hard to Set-up. Log-in Troublesome

After it died, I had to replace my 10 year old router. After reading reviews, I went with this Linksys. My old router was a Linksys and worked great. This one came with no instructions in English and the box says it's so easy you don't need directions. When I called customer service, they had to put me on hold for 5 minutes because they had to talk to a manager to figure out how to set it up. One key is a minuscule password on the bottom of the router. I have 20/20 vision and I had to try a few times to get it right since an i or l but a 1. It's like 3 point print aka one-fourth the size of normal print size. In addition to the set-up hassle, I find that I keep having to log into the router. My old router automatically logged me in on my computer. The nice thing is that you can partition a guest log-in, but the problem is it keep routing me to Guest (which is a slower connection) and forcing me to reselect the main router. I am also finding that at times my download speeds are really slow aka non-existent. This was never the case with the old router. Since the only thing that has changed in the last week is the router, I can't help but blame it on the new router. I wish there was a "maybe" option on the "Recommend this to a Friend" box below.

Hi, Jeffrey,
Setting up the router should be easy. It can be done through Smart Setup or through selecting the Manual process. Moreover, to resolve the issue on your computer, it would help if you remove the saved network profile on your previous router. Once done, just simply connect to the new network and save it.
If you're unsure on how to do this process, please don't hesitate to send us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com so we can help. We would like also to check the issue you've mentioned regarding the download speed. Indicate your contact information and the link to this review for our reference.
