Good router

It is a two story with about 2600 sq ft. I did some research and found that this unit for a little more money was a good deal. I installed the unit in the same location as the previous one and found we could use more wireless devices at the same time. My wife works from home sometimes and has not had any more issues using the laptop.

I changed the router name to match my old one and gave it the same password, so that I did not have to change any logins on my wifi devices. It has good coverage in my 2400 sq. ft. home and connect to my modem at a higher speed than my old router.

Wireless Router

This router replaced a CISCO router which died after 4 years. My new Linksys took no time at all to connect or set up. It is literally a plug n play router and I'd recommend it to anyone. With my Linksys my WiFi range also increased dramatically.

Plenty of power with a broad range

The salesperson helped me determine which model would be best for my use, and she nailed it. The range and speed are fantastic. I just wish I had made this purchase a year sooner.

The range is not what I would have expected, 925 sq ft home and the signal degrades alot by the time it gets to the front of the house. I do like the 5ghz signal for my smartphone. The guest log in is a plus, I dont have to give my password and then don't get full access.

• Position the router away from windows, thick walls, and move it to the floor where you're most likely to use Wi-Fi.
• Adjust the router’s wireless channel to avoid possible interference in your network. Use the Wi-Fi analyzer app. It helps you to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router.
• Update or re-flash the firmware.
