Adjusting the router's wireless channel could improve the wireless connection and range. Try channel 6, 9, 11, or 1, for the 2.4 GHz band. For the 5 GHz, try 161 or 157. You can actually tweak the channels and choose the one with the best result. Relocating the router and upgrading the firmware could also be of help. Check this link:

It is fairly powerful and a good value for the features. Unfortunately, because of a completely different issue, the problem was not solved and I had to return it.

After I called the help desk and some of the default parameters were changed it worked right away and has been trouble free ever since.

Replaced and Upgraded Dead Router

And I was not disappointed. Not only did it deliver what the specifications promised, but the signal is so strong now, that we could get rid of a signal extension auxiliary router I needed with my previous product. I would recommend this Linksys - AC1200 without doubt.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Due to numerous issues with a NetGear modem and router combination and NetGear Support I decided it was time for a change. I have used Linksys in the past and never had issues so I felt comfortable using their products again. This router works great considering I live in an RV on my Daughter's property. I also added an access point to help with making sure I could pickup the wifi since the RV is approximately 100ft. from the house. For the cost of this router compared to some of the others it works great and I have not lost connection once.

Especially the ability to control it remotely from anywhere. However, if you have more than one level and any size to your home you will want to extend the 5ghz portion.

Found a RavPower FileHub that works for multiple things for only $40. No, it doesn't have 5.0GHz, but for my current needs that's ok. If I need all the bells & whistles, I would re-purchase this one
