So far my experience with this router can be best characterized as good. Initial set up was a bit of a pain because it did not want to connect to the internet. However, once it did the router was great. It definitely is noticeably faster and has decent coverage throughout the house.

I have had the router for almost a month. The reason i choose to upgrade my router is because my devices in the home kept disconnecting because i had to many devices on my router that it could not handle the work load. Now all my problems are gone and everything stays connected even with the 6 security cameras in my home. I am not much of a gamer so i dont use the killer so u can set this device to work how u want it to. I highly recommend.

With my smart home and multiple computer/smart tv household I wanted to upgrade from an AC1200 router that wasn’t able to keep up with the demand. After some troubleshooting I was able to get it up and running, now prioritizing certain devices over others, and couldn’t be more pleased

Works smooth like a wet dream. Plugged it into my modem and instantly went from 60 mb/s to 150-200 mb/s! This router has awesome features like prioritization and VPN. When you login into the router gateway you can personalize and control everything. Highly recommend this router.

Before I started using this, I was very happy with the Linksys EA9300... so when I switched over to the AC3200, I was STILL very happy with the overall performance. I have a total of 22 connected devices, 2 PC & 2 PS4 given the priorities over all others devices and haven't experience a lag under Spectrum's 100MB internet. Great range, very user friendly interface, and a great looker. Thanks LInksys for ANOTHER great router.

Firmware issues

Router was working wonderfully until the latest firmware release, which seemingly has bricked the router. Wifi works for about 10 minutes after a router reset before either one or both channels become unresponsive and refuse to be connected to. Linksys also does not have any kind of firmware downloads online, and the one firmware version I could flash to did not fix the issue, let alone their support doing more than telling me to change the wireless channel and "turning it off and on again"

Lack of Features

I had traded in my Asus RT-AC3100 for this router since my Asus messed up and was still under warranty at Best Buy. To set up the router was simple and it seemed to work fast. It is much faster than the Asus RT-AC3100 and a longer distance. My biggest issue with the router was the lack of features when logged onto the router. I could not pick which Ghz to connect to. I can only see devices IP address.I cannot see how much data a device is using and I believe it lacks VPN, there is more, but not enough time. I needed a lot of details and features to prevent unwanted guest from using my network since it has been an issue for me and this guest is tech savvy.
If you want something just to plug in and will not be using any advanced settings than this router works for you. I ended up picking another Asus just for more features for a cheaper price tag. It is upsetting because the router has promise but NOT at this price tag. This router is very basic and does the same as a router in the lower 100's price tag.

Hi, Angie,
We value your feedback on the features of the router and this will be relayed to our Product Management team. As for the wireless networks, if the wireless devices support dual-band connection, then they should be able to detect both frequencies. To isolate this, tweaking the wireless settings could help.
Please get in touch with us at [email protected] with your phone number and the link to this post if you still have the router.

This was a skeptical buy at first but when I tried it out it was amazing. It’s a great router if you have a killer mobo and have to play wirelessly like I am. You must be patient and go into the advance settings and make sure if you don’t have a killer mobo to set prioritization and make sure to lower set anything you don’t want to make you experience lag.

Horrible Wifi Dropping

I was so excited to get this router, as a best buy employee i am constantly talking about routers and modems with my customers, and tell them that the top two brands are normally netgear and linksys, and that it's normally user preference, but i would personally recommend linksys since i've always bought there stuff, this router however, is absolutely garbage. It's absolutely, 200% horrible. It drops my wifi connection all the time. anywhere from every 10 minutes, to at best 2-3 hours. I have 5 devices, not very many compared to an over active household and i am constantly having problems. CONSTANTLY. As i sit here typing, my 2.4ghz network has vanished, gone. Doesnt exist, but somehow my 5g is still around, give it about 10 more minutes and my 5G will be down, and i'll have to reset it to renew my 10 min-3 hour timer. i went in and exchanged my router, thinking "well this isn't like linksys, this must be a defective unit, but alas, new unit, new wifi names, set up, everything, and nope! still breaks and is broken, it's updated to the latest firmware, it's set up properly and it doesnt matter! i am so annoyed and angry! do not recommend.

Hi, Kevin,
It's clearly unacceptable that even the replacement WRT32x Router is experiencing the same issue. Please email us your contact details and the link to this review at [email protected]. One of our Escalation Engineers will work closely with you in sorting this out.

My previous wifi router could barely manage to cover my entire home, 1550 sq feet. This bad boy pushes a signal half way across my street and every device shows 99% or better signal strength. Best wifi purchase this year

I have never had a disappointing router from this company and this router is better than expected. It keeps up with 3 smart TVs two gaming consoles at one point kept up with 8 cell phones playing on the PlayStation playlink game That's You and weathered a hurricane. Enough said.

I’ve been trying out other routers after I decided the one my service provider wasn’t enough anymore and the linksys wrt32x really gave me everything I wanted. The menu controls are really convenient to keep track how my network is going and how many devices are connected.
