Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the camera quality, ease of use, and night vision capabilities of the 4-Channel, 4-Camera Outdoor Wireless 1080p 1TB DVR Surveillance System. Many found setup to be straightforward and the picture quality excellent. However, some users noted limitations with the wireless functionality and power cord length. Overall, the positive feedback on image clarity and ease of installation outweighs the concerns about the wireless system.

So- So Cameras bad software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Software has to be re connected on the app over and over again, at certain distances it wont connect and the software is really hard to navigate. Entire tech support is bad. Don't buy this product. No online support only local and lousy app.

1999 Interface, Poor Performance, Awful Docs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am writing this after spending the better part of 10 hours trying to get this solution to work. The Best Buy team sold me on the best in class night vision, no storage plan, and the fact it wireless and was not as easy to thieve as the magnet mounted solutions. Well when I unboxed the item, I started laughing as you could tell the product is made cheaply. I'm not just talking about the cameras housing, I am talking about the DVR, power cords, etc. Not to judge a book by its cover, I moved on with the setup. Making sure everything worked, I set up the whole solution just in my office. Saw a lot of DOA cameras on other reviews. Surprised to see the cameras were linking and streaming to the DVR without any issue. (Note you better have a display or extra hdmi port on your TV for this guy to set up. HDMI cable included 4' and no keyboard only mouse control - ARG) I figured out the 1999 user interface pretty easy for the cameras (Thank God I am in IT) for those not Technical, IKEA gives you better instructions in the box. (Full Manual can be downloaded, from poorly designed support website) Time elapsed 30min. Now getting remote connectivity from Phone and or PC was pure frustration. (SMH) I followed the instructions to the letter, no good, tried following the troubleshooting on the website, no good, had a buddy come over who is a networking guru, and still between the both of us nothing. So after a long night of trying to get it to work, I have boxed it up and it is going back. I will say the night vision was good, but video quality compared to my neighbors Nest Cam was night and day. Also we just wanted to test connectivity so we spread the camera out throughout my house. With all the cameras within 40ft of the 1080p receiver, two cameras kept dropping signal.

Range not good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did my research online and YouTube which prompted me to buy this NEW item from Lorex at BestBuy, took me awhile to make a decision in store and so I finally purchased this product due to that I will be leaving home for three months and I wanted to monitor and keep my home safe. There was just too much wiring and devices that got me all confused but managed to assemble the DVR and cameras, I first tested the cameras a couple of feet away from the DVR and extender, looked clear and crisp but when you manually zoom in, the picture quality gets distorted and blurry to the point where you can't read license plates or even house numbers on my block. Keep in mind that the product stated 500 feet range between the camera and DVR/extender, after setting three cameras downstairs (1 front door, 1 back door and 1 garage door) and upstairs (1 front door), I was able to view remotely the downstairs front and garage doors and upstairs front door but was unable to view downstairs back door, I was getting camera off line or no connection on my iPhone app via the Lorex app, I tried moving the camera up and down, side to side and even rotated the antenna in all sorts of directions to try and get connection but failed to do so. I live in Hawaii, so my house and most houses are wood framed, I don't see any reason why or how the connection could have been blocked off, especially for a 500 feet range, anyways - back to BBuy to return this product and do more extensive research for other reliable cameras to monitor my home before I leave, aloha and have a blessed day.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear this system did not meet your needs. Outdoor wireless range is up to 500ft and indoor is up to 165ft, however, that is the maximum range and would be with a clear line of site. Actual range is dependent upon building materials and other obstructions in the path of the wireless signal. Wood obstructions can cause signal reduction of up to 30%. Please also note, that the system zoom enlarges the image but does not increase the resolution. If you're looking to zoom in with a clearer image you may want to consider a PTZ camera.

Very Dissatisfied Consumer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is for the following product LOREX 4ch Wireless DVR 1080p 1HD 60Hz Model No: LH0704-D Camera Model - LWU3720-C This is the worst $513.59 dollars I have ever spent in my life. Please do not; I repeat do not purchase this product. Now I have serious reservation in buying any product from LOREX since this experience 1. These wireless cameras come with an extremely short power cord; useless for mounting on the out side of a decent size house. I had to splice the wire and purchase 4 - 100 foot 12volt power cords cables to be able to place each camera at each corner of my home, and provide power to them. 2. Right out of the box these camera have a wireless connection issue unless you have them about almost 5 feet away from the receiver you will definable have connection issues these are worthless. Lorex solution to this is to buy a wireless signal extender from them that cost over a 100 dollars which also provides worthless connection advantage 3. Right out of the box, 3 of the 4 camera had night vision issues, and wireless receiver issue. These items where replace and until 08/01/2017 they where working ok? Now the only camera that was not replaced is saying "Out of Range" ?? and goes in and out of picture 4. I called Lorex again for support since I only have these product for only 6 months! Purchased on 04/18/2017 and have had nothing but problems with this product! Now they tell me that I am going to have to give them a deposit for the camera exchange; since i have had to many replacement??? ?? seriously if this product wasn't so cheaply built and over priced I my not have had so many issue to begin with. I will never purchase any product from Lorex, and I will let all my family, friends, and co-workers know about this issue. PLEASE do not purchase this product, and really research, and make an informed consideration before you purchase any product from Lorex. I have had to take a lose of $513.59 P.S the one start give as a review was not my intention LOREX does not allow for ZERO Starts which is what this product deserves.

Works as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading the reviews on here and only having to worry about power I chose this camera system. Set them up around my entire house and they work as advertised, obviously for the price I do not expect them to zoom 45 feet and get a license plate number, some of y'all have been watching too much tv.......if you want that go spend a couple of grand and get a professional system to install. No issues so far, once it was all installed and powered up setting up the app on our phones was simple. Good basic wireless camera system. Night vision works just fine as well.

Read carefully before you buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a similar system with 8 channels. It came with 4 wireless cameras. I had understood that four more (wireless) cameras could be added. After calling the company to order them, I found out that the other four would have to be WIRED cameras, not wireless. I was shocked. The cameras are easy to install, work fine, with no problem, although the angle of view is quite narrow. There is no sound and no zoom option. For the price I paid for that system, I could have purchased a much better system (with 8 cameras).

Many Different Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can't see video on your phone if cell connection is not above average. Skype figured it out, why can't Lorex? Email notification on motion not working. Cameras occasionally go off-line, even though they are physically close to the receiver. Many glitchy software problems. Very large video delay. One camera broke stopped working after a year. After a year, they want to charge you for support.

Great system but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great system, easy to install, and great clear high quality images in day and night time. But Lorex has the WORST customer service, tech support, app, and ease of use on the system itself. Lorex has great prices compared to other brands to and I do recommend this system, but only buy Lorex if you have tech know how or you are paying professionals to install. I tried putting my 4 camera system on my wifi because the system can only handle 3 cameras at a time even though it is a 4 camera system, but I never could get it on my wifi, and tried calling, chatting, emailing, even got a case number and nothing worked...I tried the chat first and the person said that it was beyond them (no matter what I asked) and that I would have to call tech support, I called and they never answered, but had an option to get on a call back, it was rare to get this and when they did you could not understand them, they all had thick accents (I don't think they have any American employees) but most of the time we never got a call back, I even tried multiple phones (home, cell, etc). And the email approach just as bad, it took a whole day with each response back and forth, they always kept asking for more info, never went anywhere. So in final, we are keeping both 4 camera systems because of the quality and wireless signal capability (because we did not want holes drilled in all our walls, but wireless is a little misleading because they have to have wired power) and the other reason we are keeping Lorex is because you don't have to pay a monthly or yearly fee to use their products like Ring.

Picture/product quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this set a few days ago, and will return it. It's no true to 1080p. Color is awful. It was purple. We tried to see if there is a configuration for it.. None. The pictures was not clear as expected. Though there were only 1-2sec lag time. Which we liked, but not enough to keep it. Also for the amount that we spent on the product, we wish it wasn't plastic. We'll keep searching for the right cameras

Great daylight video, poor night video
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Daylight images are sharp and clear with lifelike color. DVR playback is smooth and continuous for a selected time period. However, nighttime video is poor. Two cameras' afterdark videos are out of focus, blurry, regardless of ambient light arrangements. Three cameras have what appear to be dust particles that cannot be wiped off the surface of their lenses, but are only visible after dark. The system is excellent for daylight applications, but unsatisfactory for after dark use. Exchanged and replaced the system, but the replacement has the same problems. Lorex tech support tried, but could not provide a fix. Thinking of returning this system for a refund.

High quality pics
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Day and night time pics are very good. Installed less wires due to wireless pic data. The only inconvenience is you have to contact tech service to set up the software FLIR Secure to view live and get alerts.
