    A Best Buy employee recommended this product after I told her I need to make a recovery Disk for my PC. When I inserted it in my window 8 laptop my PC said it was not compatible. So I Had to return this product .

    These discs can't be written without first installing software (it comes on each disk). The software lets you write the discs securely, using encryption. So if you want encrypted files that's fine -- but don't expect to easily duplicate existing data DVDs.

    I needed something greater than 5 MB to create rescue disks. Those sold to me by the salesperson were 4.6GB so every time I tried to create the rescue disks, it failed. Very aggravating.

    Waste of Money - Not Windows 8 Compatible

    Total waste of money. The EncryptDisc software is ONLY compatible with Windows 7 and below. THE DISCS CAN NOT BE USED/ACCESSED ON A WINDOWS 8 PC (as of the time of this review). Until Memorex & EncryptDisc resolve this issue, their product is WORTHLESS. Meanwhile, since their non-W8 compatible software is embedded in the disc itself, the only use I can think of for the discs I purchased is as an expensive set of drink coasters. Cheers!
