Microsoft Surface GO 3 Pentium Gold 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD w/ Windows 11 S. Based on my previous experience with tablet screen keyboards Android, Windows Surface and Chromebook tablets for me adding a Bluetooth or detachable hardware keyboard was a very good decision. While I waited for the Surface Go 3 to arrive I ordered a Microsoft Surface Go Signature Type cover and used it during the research for this review. When the Surface GO 3 was unpacked I was impressed with the build quality. The chassis is aluminum with plastic around the power and volume controls and the front and rear cameras with only a hairline space between metal and plastic. The weight of the 10.5 inch Surface GO 3 at about 19 oz. is heavier than the 10.1-10.5 inch Android tablets my family has but is a couple oz. lighter than the 11 inch Android tablets I see entering the market. My Surface GO 3 Windows 11 S configuration after a number of Windows updates with the default applications installed and Netflix and Hulu streaming entertainment apps has 83.2GB of the 128 GB SSD drive remaining free. On my system with the power mode set at the Windows 11 “recommended” setting battery drain is 10% an hour while web streaming video from Hulu or Netflix. This setting yields 8 hours of runtime until “battery saver mode” engages at the 20% battery level. When the Surface is performing other tasks like “system updates” judging from the way the tablet warms up compared to streaming video battery drain is significantly faster. My Surface GO 3 still has it’s Windows 11 in the S configuration so far I have been very satisfied with the applications available in the S version although there is a learning curve to the unfamiliar applications. I am impressed with the design, quality and lightweight of the Surface GO 3 and with all the available accessories available for it. But each component is expensive and as you add accessories and approach the functionality of a laptop you may find you have spent more than a larger and heavier but more capable laptop costs. I recommend the Microsoft Surface GO 3 to my friends and relatives.

The surface go 3 is a fantastic windows 11 tablet that can do anything you would want a tablet to do. Fast web browsing, high resolution and bright display, fast boot times, and access to a full windows operating system for more advanced tasks if you need to do them. I would not reccomend using this device as a gaming conputer becuase it is far from powerful enough for that. However, it is great for casual use.

It's just too slow. It literally can't even run chrome well. It is nice looking, you just have to buy the faster one.

Terrific product. Easy to use and transport. Will be taking this guy, instead of my laptop everywhere I go.

Fantastic tablet if you are on the go and don't need a lot of horsepower from your device

I originally picked out a surface go as a tablet replacement. This works well as a low powered laptop. I can do slicing for 3d printing on these. It’s full regular windows which is great. Battery life is extremely long. The magnetic charger is great too. I originally got the surface go 2, then saw the newer surface go 3 for a little more. Glad I got this. I was worried it would be under powered for my uses, but that is not the case.

Very portable and light. I love all the features. Only down side is purchasing all extra accessories.

I bought his tablet today and within 2-3 hours of minimal use, the battery has already started to drain (with battery saver on). I was just surfing the web. Would probably not recommend this tablet as I've seen better.

I am big into Microsoft applications and what better way for seemless integration… wrong… app store is aweful, the design of the surface is horrible, and this thing is so buggy and laggy its difficult to use. When i purchased this i performed updates to get the latest feature update and upon reboot it could not find a bootable device. Why troubleshoot a brand new device? Returned this instantly!

So this is my first Windows tablet in a long time, and windows has come a long way. The screen on this tablet is beautiful, and has good viewing angles. It's not the brightest screen, but for sure will be great with most people. The battery is better than I thought it would be as well, and should last most people more than a day depending on usage. The build quality is simple GREAT. Having the included kickstand is a MUST for this type of machine, and makes for a much better experience. I used it without fail, every time. Strong, solid feel, no sound when moving, or adjusting. It's simply fantastic. The speakers on this machine are not the loudest, but will do for most people because they are front facing. The Storage options could be better, but at this price compared to other items it's doable. The Cameras are probably the least favorite for me, but I didn't get this for cameras. Video chat, GREAT. Recording video for other use cases, not so great. Overall, this tablet/computer...is very solid for the price. Having a type C port is very nice, but I do not like the charging cable. I'm stuck with that, and I'm okay with it. I'd recommend this to someone who needs to do lots of web browsing, media consumption, video calls, and doesn't want a heavy bulky tablet only device. This is a computer in the end, and Windows 11 is great on here. Lastly, windows hello. GREAT. Buy this one folks...you'll like it. I'd recommend you get at least the 8GB/128GB model though.

Love the device. But where is the User Manual? I don’t expect one to come with the product, but Microsoft doesn’t even have one online? The only guide I found was on Amazon by some guy for $17. Am I just supposed to guess the features?

I am enjoying the product, but the accessories, keyboard & pen are way pricey and should have been included. At times the writting can be a challenge to read.
