I have been wanting one of these since I first saw them. The device is easy to setup and works great! The main difference (and strength) of this setup vs a Chromecast is this device doesn't use your WiFi network. It is a point to point communication. This makes it easy to setup and more reliable to use.

Good on any TV with USB & HDMI... cable is short but it has an extra cable to extend length. Could be better if it where compatible with different type of systems ( it only works with Microsoft computers

With newer laptop models and windows 10, this wireless display adapter is a great way to connect a laptop, Surface, or any device to a display that might not have smartTV capabilities. I honestly think it works better than some of the built-in wireless display capabilities on a lot of TVs as well.

With a fast machine and good signal this works really well. I'd been used to using Chromecasts, and this is as good or better. Being able to wireless set up a second screen is handy, and would be great for doing presentations.

The Wireless Display Adapter provides a relatively easy way to mirror your laptop or phone to a hdmi equipped TV or monitor. Strength: Unlike using a Google Chromecast or Roku, you don't have to log the device into a wifi network. The connection is direct from your device to the TV. This is very useful if you are somewhere which requires a separate login to get onto the wifi network, which is hard to do with the Chromecast or Roku. I like the cable which doesn't require an additional USB cord to connect to a usb port on the TV for power. The cord is built in. Weakness: Most Google phones don't have the ability to mirror to this device, as this device uses the MIracast technology which Google no longer supports with its Pixel or Nexus phones of recent vintage.

was a pain to setup. had to do the same process over and over but eventually worked. also felt overpriced for essentially surface chromecast - that said been working fine now as expected

I bought a chromecast when it first came out and I didn't like it at all. Too many streaming delays. This has worked seamless, at least with devices that could connect well. I ran into an issue connecting with an older laptop, but I think the issue was probably the laptop. If you have a newer device, I think you'll be OK.

The wireless interface worked well with my Surface Pro. A window opened up and allowed me a choice of how to display what I wanted (dual display or as a monitor extension). I had problems with the projector showing slides in the run mode, but was able to display the images in the slide build mode.

Extremely easy and seamless connection of this device to my aging Panonsonic big screen. Had to figure out a way to connect the USB part of the device to get power since the connection ports location have been optimized due to new creative products like this one hitting the market.

I love my gadgets and gizmos. This is a perfect addition to my collection of really cool things that I never knew I wanted. I was just shopping for TV's and Laptop's at BestBuy when I saw the display for this product. I asked one f the blue shirts over to explain what this "thing" was. Funny but this kid was just 3 days on the job so he wasn't familiar with the product. We ended up on a quest to understand what it did and how it worked. Ultimately, we concluded that any modern TV with HDMI and USB ports can "mirror" any device (cell phone, tablet, or computer) that is running Miracast or Windows 10. My new Laptop has Windows 10 so,,, check. My tablet came with Miracast so,,, check. My android phone just needed to download the Miracast app so,,, check. Now all my gizmos can broadcast wirelessly to my TV with virtually NO lag.

If you need to duel screen with your Microsoft product or use a monitor for a presentation, this is the product for you. It works exactly like it's supposed to and allows for countless opportunities to use my tablet. Good product

Tried couple HDMI adapter to connect my surface laptop 3 to two external monitors, and they didn't work. Finally got this one, and it works perfectly! It is not designed for gaming for sure. But for watching videos and reading papers, it works just fine.

It was too easy to install! My Surface Pro had a very important video that I had recorded fro my 87 year old Mother, and for some reason my HDTv and and my Surface Pro wouldn't play nice. Purchasing this adapter made my life easier and made my Mother smile!

works great with microsoft surface products. I travel around and deliver presentations and trainings. This is a quick hook up and I'm guaranteed to be able to connect to any projector or tv.

This dongle is amazing allowing you to mirror your surface into a TV or projector without having wifi

Cons: This adapter is limited to 1080p at 30hz or 720p at 60hz. Furthermore, there is no option in Windows to automatically connect to this on startup. You have to manually tell it to connect every time. Pros: It's still useful for me using my third (small portable) monitor for my digital textbooks for college without having to run yet another cable to my tablet. Also, you don't need a separate phone app (*cough* chromecast) to set this up. I will mark "yes" for recommend, but only for specific use cases.

Simplest and only resolution I could find to connect my Samsung Tab S2 to the TV without having to purchase an HDMI micro adapter that needs powered. One simple purchased solved many hours of aggrevation and purchases to connect my Tab S2 to broadcast to a TV. Ideal for travel as what I intended use for.

I typically run into problems when walking into conference rooms that they don't have the right adapter/cord whatever for my computer so having this makes live much simpler.
