Now I use it almost everyday when streaming my downloaded movies to my TV.

The older one worked OK but I worried about the ends getting hot. This one stays pretty cool and works great. It's great to display whatever is on your computer screen to the TV.

Easy to setup...plug in in to the TV, turn it on, select the source, boomba...you can connect (as long as your laptop is able, most new ones are).

I recently bought a couple additional adapters for our other tv's. I have had no issues, product is easy to use with MS products and highly recommend the MS wireless display adapter

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the second generation device it's the most Hi-Def wireless stream I've seen, not in 4K quality but close, the audio tested only in stereo and is quite excellent too. Hopefully, the third generation would able to do full 4K and full 7.2 Dolby's ATMOS audio streaming. The video goes directly to the TV and the audio goes directly to your receiver, well pennies for my thoughts!. This would be the elimination of HDMI cable, but still I believe in direct connection, less distortion and less configuration or complication. This device I would recommend it highly with Microsoft Surface 4 Pro only and other devices with Miracast Wireless. This is not a fully universal wireless display adapter. For now the closes per say "universal wireless display" adapter is Google's Chromecast.
