It worked with the new app just fine, however, the performance seemed the same with my Dell tablet. Perhaps it is the tablet, but I did not see a big difference in latency or performance. BTW: I do love my MS products, but if you have a ROKU, it will do the same screen mirroring AND give you apps and streaming to boot! I did not know this before.

Installation took a little while, the drivers on my surface book weren't up to date and it kept dropping the connection. Once I downloaded a Microsoft driver manager the display adapter worked well. My only issue is that casting video to the tv apparently takes a lot of processing power; if I open photoshop while projecting to a tv there is noticeable lag in the video for a few seconds. Other than that this works well!
