I have the surface pro 4 i5 with 8gs of ram and it does this, best buy employe recommended I buy it for the surface. Waste of money! Only use full if your doing very simple tasks.

Not too hard though. And you have to be able to access the back of the TV to connect the Display Adapter. If your TV is flush-mounted against the wall this can be difficult or impossible to reach.

This is nice to stream to a projector or non smart tv. Drag back is that its screen mirror only so your device has to be on at all time when streaming. This feature is available on the chromecast dongle as well. The screen mirroring works well but again for 20 dollars less id suggest the chromecast over this if you already have Internet access. This device works without Internet access.
