Good connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The adapter has good connectivity to my surface pro. There can be a little lag when watching recorded lectures, but overall very good. If the computer closes out, you have too reconnect the streaming over and over again.

Product is Good. Packaging is a nightmare.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these. One worked and one didnt. Will be returning. The one that works is flawless. Easy to setup and connect to, but I believe the packaging is what broke the other. The way the cord is saddled into the cardboard packaging puts a very tight strain on where the cord is married to the USB and HDMI pieces. Right out of the package it has a kink in the cable and on top of that, they twist it to get it to stay. That will break any cable pretty quick and the cable is so thin. My suggestion, but 2 if you need 1 to work. Return it if its broke or not needed.

Super Easy
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has become a staple in the laptop carry bag. Just plug into any tv hdmi and usb (if no usb on tv I keep a small battery in my bag for recharging phone that serves as power source).....click Connect in Windows, choose product and poof, second screen.

Simple to use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a few of these around the office. They work excellent with few issues. Every once in a while you have to turn the monitor/TV off and back on to sync them. It seems they get a little warm and lock up perhaps. Overall I'm pleased with them.

Connect easily
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this working at a client's office and decided tomget one for mine. This sets up easily to connect toma screen and deliver a presentation without any hassles. Only wish this could also work with Mac, and would not need any cables for viewing presentations at our meeting room.

Works great with some restrictions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great. I haven't had the chance to use this too much since my laptop doesn't support showing the screen in high quality. I thought my desktop would automatically search for the adapter but it does not. Also for some reason my surface pro 4 does not seem to pick up the adapter - my other device.

Worked perfectly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had just received a new Windows 10 gaming laptop and wanted to cast my game to the big screen TV. Hooked the device to spare HDMI port on the TV, set the proper input, then ran the built in Win 10 software. A little tweaking of screen dimensions was all it took. Very simple.

Works as advertized
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply plug usb cable into TV's usb and the HDMI connector into desired source. Simply connect and stream surface to TV with no wires. I did not even see any lag what so ever. It also works great for my phone. I can stream my phones screen directly to my tv wirelessly!

Improvement from prior version
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still runs a little warm when it's used for any length of time. Other than that, it's a huge improvement over the prior version. More reliable, fewer disconnects, less latency.

It simply works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are a lot of Miracast devices out there. A lot of bad ones, which often have connection issues and result in choppy, low quality video. The Microsoft adapter isn't one of them. Just plug in one end to an HDMI port and the other to a USB outlet for power and then it's ready to go. A Windows device will connect most readily (As you'd expect), but it works nearly as easily with Android devices, too. A Windows tablet or laptop will detect it as an additional display, so you can actually extend your desktop to the other monitor. When simply mirroring the display, there is about a half second of lag between the source device and the wireless adapter, so don't expect to use it for gaming. However, it delivers solid 30fps video and it perfect for casting movies or presentations to a projector. All in all, this little dongle does its job very well.
