Turns out I didn't and I was only able to get movies to play if I drug them into the program that ran the adapter. Didn't like that and didn't need adapter. I returned it for a refund.

Microsoft messed up

The biggest problem with this adapter is that it will not stay connected to the TV. We have purchased three of these to use during presentations for our business but it continually disconnects. I have updated the drivers, used different monitors and TVs, sat close and far from the monitor but nothing seems to help.
