I bought these and was skeptical how good they would be for the low price but I have been very happy with them. They are very comfortable and the battery lasts for days on one charge.

Modal headphones are solid earphones and a nice substitute for earbuds.

I bought these to workout with what sold me was the waterproof. They are comfortable to wear and the sound is what you would expect. Only problem I've had is that sometimes it won't turn off and I have to run the battery down to reconnect.

The sound could be better, but is light and comfortable. Love the microphone, people said the quality of the calls is outstanding. Good value for the money. I use it mostly to workout and they don't get on the way at all.

The headphones work great, connect easily and battery last quite a long time. However they can be a bit uncomfortable on extended use. The only other downside is the inability to be connected to multiple devices at once.

I had this exact style when it was sold by a different manufacturer and loved it. I searched until I found one the same style. The behind the head fit helps if you don't want your hair messed up or just don't like things over your head. This came with cushions for normal use or rubber type ear covers for use when exercising. Great feature. The price is also very reasonable.

There are a pretty good set of headphones for the price. The sound won't be great for true audiophiles. But if you're like me and just want an easy way to listen to music and podcasts, and aren't picky, you'll like these.

I was really disappointed with this purchase. I bought this headset to use with my Note 4, and to use with my iPod touch. With the old Rocketfish Bluetooth headset, I could easily pair both devices to the headset. With this Modal headset it is practically impossible to pair two devices on the headset. The sound quality is not compatible to the Rocketfish headset, so if anyone is looking to replace that old Rocketfish headset with this Modal headset my advice is to stay away from the Modal altogether.

I don't like earbuds, and prefer something that rests on or over the ears. I can wear these when I run, and not worry about them falling out of my ears or falling off. They don't squeeze my head and feel uncomfortable, even when running a marathon! Controls are easy to remember, with separate volume and forward/reverse buttons. I would most defiantly get this again, and recommend them to friends.

    Very close to perfect

Headphones are very subjective. My high rating is based on three things - format, sound and connectivity. The format of these headphones - behind the head, over the ears - makes them perfect headphones for runners. Running with earbuds is uncomfortable and unnatural. I can't stand having something sticking in my ear while I'm running. It's also unsafe to have a sealed ear, which is required to get good sound out of earbuds. There aren't many headphones, especially wireless, that are behind-the-head format, so that is a major plus for these. Some might find them uncomfortable at first, but for me, they're nowhere near the discomfort of ear buds. I've had headphones of this format before and my ears got used to them. They do hurt the back of the ear a bit until you get used to them, but everyone's ear is different, so that will vary. I gather that this generation of this headphone replaced a foam covering with rubber. I really like it because they never get soaked from sweat. They're comfortable enough, being soft enough to be comfortable but not so soft that they wear out or become deformed. They seem to repel sweat just fine. The sound of these headphones is pretty good, though not awesome. I used to run with Sennheiser PMX-100 wired headphones and THEY sounded awesome. These Modal headphones don't have the bass or clarity of the Sennheisers, but that doesn't mean they're bad. I'm not after an audiophile experience when running, just music to run with that sounds like it's supposed to. Over-ear headphones are generally very good at delivering a good sound while still letting you hear things around you, as these do. When listening to them, even while not running, I never think - these sound terrible. But I can also tell where my Sennheisers would have made a song sound better. The only thing I would change about these is putting in an even higher quality driver. I'd gladly pay more money for a little bit better sound. Again - they're not bad at all. In fact they sound quite good. They're just not Sennheisers. The buttons are easy to find, all on the left side, and don't make a loud sound when pushed. The volume rocker is on the top, the song skip forward and back are on the bottom. The main button on the side turns them on and answers the phone. Simple and appropriate. Connectivity is impressive. There's a spoken "hello" when you turn them on, and "connected" when they connect. My Android phone, a Motorola Moto X 2nd gen connects right away and hold the connection some 30 yards away (never tested max range). The microphone is clear, and callers have said they didn't notice I was on a bluetooth. Having the microphone on the ear is weird, but it does a great job of picking up my voice. I've not had any issues with connectivity while running, and have yet to run a battery down - though I don't try to either. My runs are one to three hours and it does fine. I tried Bluebird X2 headphones (probably the best sport earbuds you can get... but they're still earbuds), 66 Audio bluetooth cans and Bose SoundSport earbuds (AWESOME earbuds, but not wireless) and I've kept these Modal headphones. Until Bose makes their impressive earbuds in bluetooth, I'll keep using and buying Modal for running and working out.
