This phone is fast and has durable metal construction. Love that it's factory unlocked so we have already switched carriers twice with no problems or issues.

Being able to use a mini memory card for expanding the memory is a plus. The picture quality is excellent. The users guide is "Ok". It doesn't have cameras on the front and back of the phone. Only the back.

Beautiful mid-tier phone with only one major flaw.

The difference in smartphones can be staggering. Something lower end, like a Stylo or a Desire can look positively trashy compared to an S9 or iPhone X. There are precious few phones that bridge the gap between terrible and transcendent, but the Moto G5SPlus perfectly slides right in. Beautiful at first glance, the metal housing is leagues better than cheaper phones, even ones only fifty dollars less. The entire thing has a slick, beautiful look to it, quite surprising considering I got it for roughly $200 (fifty dollars off when you buy a SIM card and prepaid calling card with purchase). 3 gigs of RAM, octo-core processor, and Android 7.1 really highlight the far-above-average qualities of this "mid-tier" phone. Google Assistant, built in, really makes you feel like Siri is obsolete at this stage in technology. In fact, when I take a look at this phone to review it, there's honestly nothing I would change. Make that "almost nothing". For some inexplicable, mind-bending, brain-melting reason, the good people at Motorola (and their parent company Lenovo) decided to put the feather-touch power button smack dab in the MIDDLE of the right side of the phone's outer edge. Are you right handed? Prepare to either accidentally turn your phone off six thousand times a day, or learn to wield it with some sort of vulcan side-grip. It isn't a deal breaker, but it is mighty close. Thank goodness the rest of the design, with beautiful metallic case and snazzy round camera area in the back, make up for the one major mess. For someone like me, there's no way on earth I'd spend nearly a thousand dollars on something I'm probably gonna lose on the subway in six months. The G5SPlus really gives you a ton of value without the gargantuan price tag. Hello, Moto!

This is a pretty good phone. Does everything I want it to, it's pretty fast, could be less expensive but still over all pretty good. Wish there was a way to protect the front camera though.

I purchased 2 of these smart phones, one for myself and one for my wife. Both have been what we expected. They have features that you will find on many more expensive phones. These phones were unlocked and we had no problem activating them on our AT&T network. The cameras work great and they do everything that we need from a smart phone. We use them everyday and so far have had no problems. Good choice for someone that doesn't need the latest and top of the line smart phone.

THIS PHONE IS GREAT. FAST AND RESPONSIVE. I HAVE LOADED OVER 100 APPS AND IT WORKS GOOD. I ALWAYS LOOK AT SPECS AND BUY THE BEST BUDGET PHONE. USE OF THE FINGER PRINT FEATURE IS GREAT. THE CAMERA TAKES GREAT PICTURES AND MOVIES. THE SOUND QUALITY IS GOOD EVEN USING THE SPEAKER. I'VE DROPPED IT SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO DAMAGE. I NOW HAVE A CASE ON IT. THE CASE IS CRAKED BUT THE PHONE IS NOT DAMAGED. BEST TO SUMARIZE, "I LOVE THIS PHONE".

I have tried so many other phones in the under $300 category from all brands like Alcatel(JUNK!!!), Samsung, LG etc...and all of them at this price point have severe deficits in build quality, bloatware, hardware or support. Then the salesman showed me this Motorola G5S plus....it is by far the best phone I have had at any price...no bloatware, great specs, and awesome build quality. I can't speak yet as to their support as this is a brand new model but I will say that this is on the their list for OREO but they don't say exactly when.... A couple of minor things....get a case as it is a little slippery......Camera is slow, takes good pics just slow...

I previously owned a Motorola 5g phone and it was lost in Rome Italy , With the fingerprint lock system I was confident about my security until I contacted my carrier to shut down the phone. All my accounts were not compromised . When searching for a replacement phone I chose this phone knowing about the security features. It also takes exceptional pictures. For the price it is the best on the market in my opinion.

Love this phone as it serves my purpose to have a phone that can make a call. Simple and effective. No need to break the bank to by a $1000 dollar phone that does the same thing.

My previous phone suddenly died one day. After speaking with customer service forever, their only solution was to offer a slight discount on a pixel, which was still out of my budget at the time. I decided I would just get a less expensive unlocked phone and see how that worked. At the time, this phone had the best reviews overall from both experts and customers. Pros- large screen is great for when I need to quickly access and article while on the go -has been pretty indestructible, especially the screen -rapid charging -battery lasts all day -still has headphone jack -fingerprint unlock is quick though it wont work if your hands are wet Cons -moto sucks with sending the latest android updates. took forever just to get oreo and pie was already released -ok google feature stopped working from locked screen (may be an os problem) -harder to find cute cases Indifferent -camera. in good lighting the pictures are good. hit or miss in low lighting. like the twist to open camera feature to quickly snap something before it's too late I would not recommend to a friend because the next gen of this phone is out. Also the lack of OS updates would make me not recommend it.

This is the third Motorola phone that I have purchased over the years. I have yet to be disappointed by the performance and durability of any of them. This phone has many great features found in other phones that cost twice as much. The camera is great and the sound is much improved from my previous phone. All in all a great value.

I originally purchased the Moto G5 Plus about two months ago but when this refreshed model came out, I wanted to give it a whirl. I liked it, but found this to be one of those cases where better specs don't always equate to real world usage value. Plus, the G5 Plus is a little smaller and just feels more comfortable in the hand. I love the best budget phone Moto G5 Plus! Reminds me of the Nexus 5. Pure, awesome vanilla Android.

This is my third Moto phone, and by far the best yet. The phone is as close to pure Android as you're going to find unless you buy a Pixel phone. I have the G5s Plus version with 32 GB Memory & 3 GB RAM. The phone is fast. Switching between apps is quick. The unibody construction feels solid in my hand. The 5.5 inch display is ample with decent graphics. The fingerprint unlock works but at times won't recognize my recorded fingerprint, a minor annoyance to me. All things considered, this phone offers flagship phone quality at about one-third of the cost. The dual rear cameras are very adequate and it does take okay photos. Overall, I must say I'm very pleased with my phone purchase. And Best Buy was great, cutting my SIM card to size. Setup was easy, just choose the device from my Google account and my apps were installed using my data plan in less than an hour.
